Service was fine and we enjoyed the atmosphere but wow...the portions do not even come close to matching the menu. I ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas and I barely had enough meat to even fill 2 tortillas. It was 5 pieces of shrimp and 3 little scraps of steak. Absolutely nothing like the picture on the menu. First time I have ever left a Mexican restaurant still hungry. I had to make dinner once I got home. Will not be coming back here.

3/7/24 The food quality has gone down a little bit as this is one of my favorite restaurants. We had a booth table and the floors was a little dirty underneath. They only had one salsa (Medium) no hot. The steak was tough and chewy. I will not order any dish skirt steak anymore. My sister food was a little salty. All the other dishes were delicious. I would isit again.

I havent been here in 2 years and the menu was fantastic, drinks were good, and the birria tacos were great and my quesadilla. Would definitely comeback and love the tequila chandeliers too.

The food here is solid. The prices aren't too bad.Went back and it's still good. Nothing to go crazy about but certainly not bad at all. Feels like good bang for your buck compared to other places in the area

Amazing place for dinning with family, friends or with spouse. Service was great. Food was really yummy. They have good varieties of Margarita. Try pineapple margarita which is good. With drink and food, be ready to spend 30 to 35$ per person.

First of all, I have to say that I love that this is a Pepsi house. I have seen this restaurant through my travels in the past 20 years but never visited. My husband said that I have and that I must have forgotten. Hmmmm. I wonder. As we entered the door, we were greeted by a huge bright, colorful and expansive restaurant and a friendly gentleman. He seated us extremely promptly and our server was also super prompt. Absolutely no complaints on service. Our chips were brought out with two bowls of salsa. So perfect!! Till we started eating them. Being a sister to Chili's, I was expecting fresh chips. You know a little warm and salty..... nope. They were processed chips. The salsa was good but on the extreme for heat. Then, we looked at the menu. It was physically large and had pics of food on it but the layout was rather confusing. I swear I read through it three times and couldn't understand what they were known for, there just didn't seem to be any purpose or organizational thought to the layout. After I figured out the 2,3,4 section, I chose a beef enchilada and a chili relleno. My husband ordered a chimichanga. The food came out promptly and the main part of our meals was very warm/hot. The chili was dipped in a tempura type batter and it was super crispy. The cheese inside was super warm and definitely gave me the chewy stringy vibes. I was so excited to try it, until I did. I wanted to love it but I found it lacking. It was too safe and really just lacked flavor. The enchilada was filled generously with ground beef but then, again, really had no flavor. My husband's enchilada was at the same level of excitement and hearing it was $1.29 for sour cream and more money for guacamole was a little off putting, considering most restaurants just give you a small scoop of each at minimum. Both dishes had beans and rice. They were barely warm. The rice was bland and the beans have totally ruined my once in a blue moon canned-frito-bean-dip-fix cuz I swear they opened a can of it and put in on my plate. It just wasn't good. Again, the restaurant is clean and bright and the service was good, charming, and prompt. We just found the food too safe / bland. The music playing in the restaurant was very odd which kind of took more away from a Mexican restaurant experience. I asked Siri to identify the song playing as I was eating and it was Cowboy Stomp from Bob Wills from the 1940's. It wasn't necessarily bad just not appropriate for the setting. So, there's my review. Now, I know why I couldn't remember eating here before. There really wasn't anything memorable. It's kind of sad because I truly wanted this to be a new dining option for us.

It was my first time at On The Border tonight. I ordered the brisket tacos and it was by far the worst tacos I've ever had. The shell was tough and the briskit was nothing but mouth fulls of slimy, chewy fat. It was extremely disgusting. I'm not one to complain unless it's really bad... Which it was. The waiter never came to check how our food was nor did they provide refills or offer water. I was also charged nearly $2 for a very small cup of sour cream after excluding onions and jalapeño BBQ from my tacos. Definitely never coming back.

We were there last night party of 6.2 of us ordered ultimate fajita. Not worth the Money. Nothing like the picture. 4 shrimp 4 little pcs of chicken, 3 scraps of steak and an ounce of carnitas which had no flavor. Picture looks awesome, but not close to picture. 2 tacos had more meat. Sincerely Dan.

It's good food, but if you're looking for authentic Mexican flavors or home cooking this is not your place. Nevertheless it's still good and usually not very busy.

Service was good and fast. Chips and salsa were fresh and good. The rest of the food was horrifically bad.
