Went today to look for boots for my son & almost every single bin was empty! Not to mention very few coats. They had 2 aisles open for Christmas pajamas yet not one bar was full. They have bins of people’s stuff everywhere & the wait time is still 2 weeks. I’m sure there would be so much more out on the floor if they were able to prioritize the buys! I’ve worked at a OUAC & we never had that long of a wait time, even after closing our buy counter.
Not to mention the onesies are mixed together & they hardly had girl pajamas! It’s very hard to look in there due to poor quality of the store! They also have employees watching private Facebook pages to see if people talk about them then report back to the owner. Super interesting to see how different all of them run.
Edit to add to reply to the owner:
She was mad because i stated they have a 2 week wait time. While you can read through multiple reviews of customers saying the workers were playing uno or not working! Clearly constructive criticism isn’t her favorite thing! Yes Bolingbrook would close the buy counter for a day to catch up, not 2 weeks.A day or 2 is typical 2 weeks to have little to none on your racks is ridiculous! We had numerous customers come from Naperville and talk about all of the inappropriate conversations her employees were having. Very unprofessional! Also i wasn’t “band” i was told to come pick up one of my buys and your one nice employee was extremely confused! Being banned would mean i was told i couldn’t come back. That never happened (:
The reviews speak for themselves!

If I could I’d give it 0 stars. I had a really disappointing experience at this location. I dropped off a big box of clothes—most worn once or twice and name brand—and waited two weeks for my quote. When I missed their call and phoned back the next business day, I was told I had only 24 hours to pick it up, even though I live an hour away.
When I got there, they had only accepted 8 items for an $11 quote. Had I known that over the phone, I wouldn’t have rushed or driven that far. The rest of my clothes were handed back in the same box.
The store itself felt unorganized, with other people’s boxes on the floor and half-empty racks, so I truly don’t understand how they choose what to take. What bothered me most was the unprofessional vibe—employees were playing Uno when I walked in, yelling across the store about my quote and spelling my last name loudly. It felt judgmental and uncomfortable.
After seeing so many reviews similar to mine, I wish I had known beforehand. I won’t be returning.

This location is awful.
Nearly brand new nike’s, sweaters, coats and they didn’t take them. Yet, it’s completely bare in there with NOTHING on the racks. This is the only location that refuses nearly new clothing in season. I don’t think they bother to go through properly.

Store looks like it's closing. Multiple empty sections. Unprofessional signs all over the door about the donations not being accepted in bags and required bin sizes. Maybe they should life the restrictions or work with people donating to get more product? There are bins sitting all over the place some dating back over 3 weeks .

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Naperville Once Upon a Child. This was my first and last time bringing clothes here.
They called me once to let me know my items were ready, but I was at work and missed the call. When I called back, the staff was very rude and informed me that they had automatically given me store credit—something they never explained would happen. I was told that because I didn’t pick up the same day, they kept the 11 items they wanted and “donated” the rest. Then they changed their story and said they actually took everything, even items they said they weren’t going to buy. I received only $20 in store credit for around 20 brand new items with tags that my daughter never wore.
After this experience, I will never return. I’d rather donate somewhere that truly helps families and doesn’t take advantage of people’s brand new items for a tiny store credit.

They apparently aren’t accepting clothes right now so be aware… don’t bother driving over like I did. So I wasted an hour of my Saturday trying to drop clothes off. Now I head to goodwill Right by my house lol.

Was told it would take 10-14 days to review clothes. Website says staff would review while shopping. 14 days is ridiculous. Also seemed like there was no organization as the tote was just on the ground where anyone could have taken it. Staff did not even check to make sure it was our tote.

The most horrendous treatment by staff and employees there. I walked in and was greeted by attitude. I was told I could only donate one box. No bags. Ok. The stroller that I brought in was “ Was way too dirty”. After cleaning it and bringing it back, was told that it was still too dirty.
The closest once upon a child- to me is in Naperville, 45 minutes away from my house. The box I donated made… three dollars. That wouldn’t even cover the amount of gas It takes to get there. Ridiculous treatment. And it smells like BO in there.

Upon just walking into the store to sell my items a white lady rudely yelled “ARE YOU HERE TO SELL?” Then she stated they only take items in hard boxes or clear bins preferably Redding made, there’s a 2week wait time for them to check the items and give me a call. My first time here and will definitely not be returning! Horrible!

They have a lot of nice things. A full store full of everything.
They only thing I was disappointed in was the unfair prices they give you for your cloths. I had all brand new still on the hangers with tags on the outfits, ($32 and more for name brand clothing sets,) the offer was less than 0.75 per item.

This location is ridiculous. While the staff is very friendly, there’s always some new policy. First no bags, only hard boxes/bins. Then only one bin at a time and now the bins can only be a certain size. It is ridiculous to jump through all of these hoops just to sell some clothes to a business that is going to sell your items for at least double what they pay you for. Not to mention i once sold to this location and the check bounced. This will be my last visit to this location.

Employees are extremely rude and not helpful by any means. Try another location since they are not accommodating.

The stuff is really rude. I was directed by a staff from another store, and they told me this store took used children's clothes.
No one greeted me and an Caucasian lady in her late 40 or early 50 told me they didn't take stuff in bags. Her attitude was so bad and seems like I am dust on her shoes.
After reading all the bad reviews, I learned that is their routine.
I will never come back to this store.
