Great sales team (Jeff in particular is an amazing advisor) but needs improvement in services. It’s 2023 where we live in the world of "try and buy" VS with Penny any issues with the furniture and their policies are quite inflexible (considering you pay the list price, no negotiations there) but don’t backup with service.

This was our first visit to Penny Mustard. We were looking for a media console for our TV, stereo equipment and media. Jailah helped us through this process. And it was a process. The media consoles are completely customizable. First you pick the style. They had several examples of the different styles on the floor. Then you pick the size (height and width), doors, drawers. Then you pick the (solid) wood and finish. Finally you pick the drawer and door hardware. Jailah patiently guided us through all of this.Penny Mustard is not cheap but then we are getting a fully custom, solid wood piece of fine furniture. Like so many things in life, you get what you pay for.I will be updating this review after the furniture arrives.

Ìd love it if they had 2 more of that whipsmart women on their commercials; and avid and Ben would just build their great furniture. I wouldn't pay luxury prices for wood anyway.I'm not like that.

The staff is very friendly and not pushy. The furniture is awesome, made extremely well, and it is completely customizable. We designed a recliner for my wife. Nice people, great furniture.

I purchased a leather sofa and chair from a great salesman. Due to lead times, I had to wait nearly six months for delivery of the product, which was fine. However, Penny Mustard forgot to deliver the feet for my rocker recliner when my furniture was delivered. It's been almost a month, and I'm being told that the manufacturer is in Canada and it may be several more weeks before the parts arrive. I have wood floors and can't use the chair without the feet, or it will damage my floor. I spent $11K and I'm disappointed in how this has turned out. UPDATED: After an email back to Customer Service, they will deliver the feet today.

We just received our new Marshfield sofa today and it is gorgeous.Jeff Sizemore at the Naperville store was very helpful with the process.I have had numerous Marshfield products and have always been completely satisfied. I was able to pick the fabric combination and even the delivery guys were great. Highly recommend this store for all your furniture needs.Thanks Jeff for all your help.

We had a wonderful experience buying new living room furniture at Penny Mustard. Bianca helped us and she is amazing! We love that we weren't hassled or followed around like at other stores. Bianca gave us suggestions when we asked, helped us pick fabrics and rugs, and even made wall color suggestions. She convinced me to go out of my comfort zone of very neutral fabrics - she suggested a pop of color in an accent chair and it's perfect!! She is truly gifted with putting together colors and fabrics, and is just so sweet and nice too! She reached out periodically to give us updates while waiting for delivery. But every day of waiting was worth it - it beautiful and VERY sturdy and well-made.

I have been a long time customer of Penny Mustard because of their reputation for standing by the products they sell, but this is no longer the company it once was. The quality of their pieces does not stand up, and Penny Mustard has gone away from the very ways of doing business that got them a good reputation. I bought a $6000 living room sofa set and within 6 months we noticed the sofa was showing even levels of soiling across all cushions. I put a claim in shortly thereafter to which the manufacturer asked me to send a cushion back for review. They had my cushion for over 1 month and determined the soiling was normal. Penny Mustard's tech concluded it was from the dust in my home. Mind you I have other light pieces in my home that get more use and do not show the same staining. After countless emails and hours on the phone with customer service, all they were willing to offer was a refund minus the 25% restocking fee. This was unacceptable given that the set was new. I was never asked what it would take to make me happy, all I wanted was for them to clean the couch and fabric treat it but that was not even an option. Kenny, the customer service manger was pretty matter of fact and showed zero empathy. This set gets very little use and I had a cushion analyzed by a 3rd party who determined the color transfer was not normal and a product of the fabric. Gone are the days of "the customer is always right". Walter E Smith has much better customer service and so far, their pieces are much more durable at a lower price point.

Ben & Christina were very helpful and knowledgeable. I ordered a lovely dining room table along with a quart of additional wood stain to redo my existing dining room chairs. My table and chairs look beautiful.

My wife and I stopped by Penny Mustard in Naperville to look for a new rug. We had several unsuccessful stops at previous furniture stores in the area earlier that day, and we spotted one that we loved right away as Bianca greeted us. We spent some time with her going through the other options they had, before finally going with the first one that we saw. As we walked around the showroom, we also found a dinette set that would be perfect for our kitchen. Bianca was extremely patient with us, and helped us find just the right fabric for the cushions. Not only was she very professional, but she was fun and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend her and Penny Mustard to anyone looking for new furnishings. Our furniture and rug were delivered yesterday, and the guys were fantastic too. They took exceptional care as they brought each piece into the house and were very pleasant. Bianca called a few hours after the delivery to make sure everything went well, to which I assured her that the whole experience far exceeded our expectations. We will definitely come back when we're looking for new furniture again in the future.

This is our second purchase from Penny Mustard. We've purchased a large, beautiful dinner table, complete with two benches and four chairs and now our gorgeous, huge, couch which we received a few days ago. We're so happy with the quality and the customizations and Christina made everything that much easier! She didn't try to oversell us on anything and was very knowledgeable answering all our questions.Delivery has also been amazing. The guys are always quick, careful and considerate of my home. I'm very positive that we'll be back for future purchases.Thank you for making everything so easy for these first time home owners. We truly appreciate it!
