Not sure about the other Safelite locations but this one is horrible. Long story short, went with this place because our insurance recommended them they replaced our window with a scuffed window, didn’t place wipers back on correctly, broke a clamp on our hood, messed up a rubber window guard, and now after waiting a week to get a car wash as they instructed still had a leak coming through window speaker (see picture). How can a place that specializes in window repair not know how to do what they get paid for? If you’re thinking about getting work done here, run the other way because they don’t know what they’re doing. My one year old could do a better job. I’m not about to keep giving this location chances.

Scheduled a mobile appointment between 12 and 5 pm and I get a call from a super rude employee telling me he is going to drive my car to their location and I can pick it up when it's done. He doesn't have any equipment on his truck to change my windshield. The rudest customer service I've experienced! Do not recommend! The way their employees speak to customers is unbelievable.

I came into this location in Naperville and paid for their service. I was owed a refund for the difference my insurance covered. I was informed that I should receive the refund by mail in the form of a check within 3-5 business days. Here we are a month and a half later and I’m told that the check was issued. However, I never received it. I suggested stopping payment void check and I’ll come in person to complete transaction. My calls are being screened from my cell number because when I use a different number they answer then mysteriously the call drops.Management/staff has No integrity, empathy, poor customer service and lack accountability. I returned my car due to the poor service I received initially. Do yourself a favor and find a business where good quality is offered and honest people reflect their work

I’m not sure what’s with all these negative @$$ reviews! I had my appointment set for today, and it went great! Sure, there was a small wait to be checked in, but they had A LOT of cars to do, and they were a bit short on staff. I’m patient, and my car was done beautifully, and in a timely manner considering the amount of work they had to do. Staff was friendly and professional as well! The tech even put my oil change sticker back on, and put new stickies on my I-PASS! All in all, I’d definitely recommend this place!

I was nervous given the reviews but I actually had a positive experience here yesterday. The receptionist was kind and helpful and my VW windshield is great and recalibrated correctly. I went though my geico insurance and all seems fine.

My windshield got hit by a rock and started spreading on our family move into the Chicago area. I reached out to Safelite through the online service to schedule to have my windshield replaced. The online process was easy and I received courtesy phone calls and emails to remind me of my appointment. I had an 8am appointment and arrived early to see they hadn't opened up yet. They opened a few minutes after 8am and started taking in appointments. No good morning, just a quick brief conversation that my car would be ready by the end of the day in between other appointments (why have an appointment then?). It's months later and my windshield has been holding up fine. I might go to another location though next time for better customer service.

Wrong windshield order, paid out of pocket more than $1,000.00. Thought I would get a call back so we could correct. No call. I try to call and auto attendant - worthless. Have to take time to drive to the facility now, and resolve. Auto attendant is terrible.

Safelight has provided not only poor installation, but poor management and customers service. For background I had my windshield replaced mid summer and they installed the rain sensor crudely, and broke it. I have been waiting to get this replaced under warranty since September of 2023. To begin, they will not answer your phone call, no matter the time during the work hours that you call. If you happen to get them to pick up the phone it will be a different person every time, who makes a promise to you of a return call and fixed service issues, that never get carried over. Second, several times I have had service people come to my car without the appropriate parts despite informing them exactly the make model, etc. of my vehicle. Once this happens they will tell you that they will order the part needed, and that the shop will call to reschedule. Don't be fooled it wont happen. I have been told "we will call you to reschedule schedule" four times, by four separate individuals, I have waited months and months and nothing changes. Third, employees leave and never transfer vehicle service information so your file will sit untouched, specific employees become sick and therefore your parts cannot be ordered until they return. It takes months to get them to see your vehicle. Months to order parts, and it still remains to be seen if they will ever return to fix my car. The employees are polite when spoken with, but it is a broken company that absolutely will lie about service to your face. Not only do I not recommend this location, I absolutely would implore anyone to STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I will keep posting reviews of this nature sharing my experience every time they continue to not take my calls, and ignore the warranty broken part on my car.

Terrible and poor customer service in this branch. Never had issues with any other Safelite branch as I had with this one. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this branch.

Very unprofessional and rude staff. Poor curstomer service overall. A few days ago, I found a crack on the windshield of my Jeep Wranger. I didn't notice any rock hitting the windshield and upon inspecting the damaged area myself, I didn't find any impact on or around the cracked area. So, I contact the Safelite customer service and they advised me to take the vehicle to Safelite shop located at 1580 W Ogden Ave, STE 140, Naperville, IL 60540 for a warranty claim. When I went to the shop on January 16th, a technician came out to look at the car. Glad I was out to monitor. He kept cleaning, using a napkin to wipe the area of the damage, in hopes to find a visible impact caused by a rock or some other outside object. Apparently, there wasn't such impact but he determined that there was a minor impact that caused the screen to crack and therefore it would not be covered under warranty. When I asked him to show me where the impact was, he pointed to an area where the crack was buit there was no visible impact. And when I told him that I do not see the impact point he is referring to he got frustrated with the conversation and went inside to get a manager. The manager came out with me to inspect. However, his body language and demeanor was such that I understood for his response to be no different than that of his technicians. After inspecting he drew a circle in the same area and repeated what his technician had said that the impact is caused by a rock and will not be covered. When I argued that I do not see the impact that he is referring to he accused me of wanting to get it done under warranty and his tone became very aggressive. He went to say that if they honroed every warranty claim they will be out of business and that there is nothing he can do and I will have to either pay out of pocket or get it covered through insurance.Anyhow, I decided to drive the vehicle to Safelite's location in Crest Hill. Contrary to this experience, the staff at Crest Hill location was highly professional, polite and courteous. The receptionist asked a technician to inspect the vehicle who a few minutes later came back and told me that he did not find the crack to be caused by a rock or another object and therefore will repair it under warranty and at no charge to me. Both the staff and technician were highly professional and respectful. I scheduled an appointment for the windshied to be replaced on 1/22 and had it done this morning. I highly recommend this place. You will not regret the experience.As for the Naperville, IL location, please stay away from this shop because their mantra is to 'STICK IT TO THE CUSTOMER'. They no longer have me as a customer because I prefer to do business with people who care and are honest and professional.

Long Post AlertThis place is guilty of all the negative reviews listed. If I could give zero stars I would.Let's start from the beginning, when they ordered my glass their communication was great, when they came out to install the first couple of windows on my car the communication was great. When it was time to install my last window this is when sh!t went south.My collision repair shop was the location at which safelite was supposed to go out to complete the final job. Safelite gave me a time window of 12:00pm to 5:00pm on last Friday December 17th and they got there closer to 5:00pm the first time, so when it was time to go out the last time on December 22nd between 12:00pm to 5pm I called them to see if they could bump me up because it was the holiday weekend, the repair shop was done with my car, I had a rental that would need to go back because I was paying out of pocket at that time and also I needed to leave to head home (to St Louis) to visit my family for the holiday. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone could give two sh!ts less about what I was requesting or the fact that I was in jeopardy of not making it home to visit my family if the collision place closed up by the time safelite finished my my last window. After not getting anywhere with the idiot on the phone, I called customer service who was able to get me a new appointment window for December 22nd (same day) from 12:00pm to 3:00pm giving me time to possibly get my Bronco back in order to make my trip home. Guess what? The idiots didn't show at all on the day they were supposed to, which caused me to have to keep a rental for six extra days at over $200.00 out of pocket. My collision company called them that Tuesday December 26th and again they were given the run around and a lie about the status of my glass and still safelite didn't show on Tuesday, my collision company called them on Wednesday December 27th and again they were given the run around with more excuses and lies. It wasn't until today Thursday December 28th that collision worker and the manager had to just take it upon themselves to drive my Truck from the repair shop to safelite and get in their a$$es in order to get my truck completed. My truck could have been ready 4-6 days earlier, but no I am out of over $200.00 out of pocket for a rental car because these incompetent imbecile's decided to say f**k completing the job in a timely matter and chose to complete the job when they felt like it. I have used safelite before and know many people who speak highly of this company, but this location is complete trash.On the first day I took my car to them the manager told two of the guys to wrap my busted out window with plastic. These fools wrapped the bust out window and the window that wasn't busted out (drivers window) so I couldn't even safely see out of my drivers window to drive my truck back home to wait for my windows to come in. Please if your insurance company works with safelite, please find another location to do the repairs because this location is complete trash staffed with these young douche bags that have no customer service skills and don't have the sense god gave a cockroach.

***TERRIBLE SERVICE, DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION*** I took my brand new vehicle here several times to have the glass replaced, including Ubering home. While Acura says my car is in perfect shape (I'm the only owner, no accidents), these morons claim that there are errors on my car's computer so they can't replace the glass. My insurance company agrees that they should replace it. What's even worse is that the manager keeps giving me a lecture about his liability. It's absolutely ridiculous. I would never go here again. What a huge pain to keep driving over, be ready to pay, and then have them refuse to do the work.

Don’t use this location!!!If you value your car “DO NOT” use this location!! I can’t speak for other locations but this one scratched the hood, front fender, and the frame around the windshield on my mustang. Then afterwards they tried to claim that the damage had been there before the vehicle was in their possession, however I just recently purchased the car and it didn’t have any scratches in those areas. Once I proved there technician was a liar (due to his pictures being time stamped when the job was completed) they had a shop in the same complex scheduled to fix it. The 4 day job turned became 7 days and I only received updates about the car when I reached out, no effort was made by them to achieve customer satisfaction.My car was detailed clean when dropped off, now I have over spray on my headlights the interior smells of paint, and my car has dirt and dust all over the inside and outside.Stay away from this place.

Terrible service. I spoke with the shop manager Renzo and was shocked by how rude and unprofessional he was. 2 year old bmw x5 and. Everything is someone else's fault, nobody is as knowledgeable as he is and there's nothing that he would do to take care of a customer.

Well look at the reviews before coming here. We had a tech come to our house to replace a simple windshield on our acura. After the repair we kept hearing a buzzing sound. A different tech from a different location came out. He said the workmanship was poorly done. The original guy broke two long expensive trim pieces. He broke both of the cover inside the engine towards the windshield. Sad part is he never said anything. A different tech from the same company noticed all the poor workmanship. So they had to order the replacement parts…2.5 weeks later I am driving around in a nice car with a loud annoying buzzing sound. I will follow up w my review after they rework what they broke.As of now…I would go to another location! DO NOT COME HERE!!You will regret your decision!!
