Tamarack Golf Club, recognized as the "Best New Public Golf Course of the Year" by Golf Digest in 1989, remains a top choice in the Midwest for golf and events. The course features a great layout with greens and fairways that are well maintained, offering a good value for players. It is suitable for a relaxed round of golf with family and friends or for hosting tournaments, weddings, and special events. However, some areas need attention, such as bunkers that require grooming and sand, cart paths in rough shape, and the pro-shop entrance and deck railing that could benefit from cleaning or repairs. The pace of play can be slow, often due to lack of marshals or disruptive players. Overall, Tamarack offers friendly staff, a beautiful setting, and an enjoyable experience, though improvements are needed to enhance the course's condition and pace.
The greens and fairways are in great shape but the tee boxes need some love. The clubhouse is in the process of being remodeled so it should be nice. Super nice people work there. No driving range.

Course could be so nice with more attention from management. Great layout and location but traps have no sand, cart paths are brutal, tee boxes are in rough shape, and pace of play can be very very slow.

Nice course layout, but sand traps need grooming/sand and cart paths need to be repaired. Also, pro-shop entrance & deck railing (bar/reztaurant) need pressure washing or sand blasting/painting.
