They rent broken equipment. Rented some gear that turned out to be broken. When I returned it I was told they knew it was broken but rented it anyway. Their repair person is on medical leave so apparently nothing is getting fixed. Jose was rude when I asked why I was given gear they knew was broken. Very disappointing experience.

We had some issues with an online order recently (wrong items sent etc) and weren't getting much help from the online customer service representatives that we called at first. Both referred us to the store for the order issues. Manager Liz called and took care of both issues very quickly and was patient and personable the entire time. she also provided some tips and recommendations for future purchases. I will definitely try and do all my purchases in store from now on. Customer service was excellent. We appreciated her friendly help during this busy holiday season!

Three months ago, we paid The Home Depot to install carpet on our second floor and this unsightly impression is at the entrance to our master bedroom! We called them out immediately to see it. They told us, "just try vacuuming it". Nothing has changed after 3 months! NOW Home Depot has informed us they could replace the hallway carpet (admission that carpet was defective), but that the die lot would be different from the original because they don't have the original anymore...they said it shouldn't matter too much when all the doors are closed (we have 3 bedrooms and an office on this floor and we leave the doors open). Also, they said they won't replace the adjoining carpet going down the stairs, so that wouldbe a mismatch as well. I think they should refund a portion of what we paid. They offered us only $500 when it cost us $4500 total! I don't want to have to go through the trouble of clearing out the entire second floor to have it redone, we work from home and the ordeal was so frustrating when they installed it the first time. It took several men and they were really loud the entire day, walking around the rest of the house as well! It really bothers us as we usually leave the double doors to the master bedroom open so we walk past this multiple times a day! I expected much more from The Home Depot! facebook.com/Home.Depot.…

Really disappointed by this location. Usually not a big problem, I don't really expect much...it's a Home Depot. But yet again, the disfunction of this store and its associates leave me wanting anything more. Needed a new lawn mower battery but they refused to take the old one in place of the core charge because they didn't know why. Couldn't tell me anything other than they could recycle it for me. Sold me the battery in the first place, but refuse to service it. Way to go Home Depot in Naperville!! You live up to your reputation.Tried contacting the corporation directly...don't bother. If they aren't answering, they are making excuses for their lack of customer service such as being too busy with other customers. I guess that in itself says a lot...so many issues to deal with you can't handle the volume.Again, not expecting much...it's a Home Depot. But seriously, this is one reason why people shop Amazon instead. Why bother going to brick and mortar to find out everyone working there is a blockhead...

They are always so helpful At this Home Depot both with finding the right product and even always offering and helping load heavier items (i.e. toilet).

I had a long list from a contractor and was not sure how to find everything I needed. Every employee I came across was amazing and made sure if they didn't know the answer they paged someone who did. Anson helped me with the paint and told me what to do if I got home and found the color was not exactly what I needed. Virgil helped me pick out the right mortar and made sure it was the correct amount for my square footage. Tim helped me navigate the many faucets to choose from and what are the strengths of each project. George helped me in millwork and when I couldn't decide printed up the choices and highlighted the important information. He saved the order to make it easy if I decided yes. Siral and Tony helped me look for hard to find a furnace filter size. When it couldn't be found Tony told me I could order it online and have it sent to the site. Liz helped me find a flange. Who knew there was an object called a flange? Anissa looked up model numbers and hooked me up with other employees when I had detailed questions. She was so warm and welcoming I felt like I was her favorite aunt! When I went to check out and there was only self check out she checked me out. Yeah! Whoever is hiring is getting people with great customer service skills who help people and know what they are talking about. I don't find that at many big box stores. Improve on! The only reason it is not 5 stars is it should not be all self-checkout. One or two self-checkouts are okay but have at least two full-service check outs. If don't want help I could order online and have it sent to my house.

Service needs help badly. Very uncoordinated and don't seem to be trained very well at all. Avoid this place and drive the extra block. Do yourself a favor. Still waiting after about 15 mins just for them to get more cash. Pretty crazy

Went into this store today, went straight to the water softener aisle and asked for assistance… waited 15 minutes and asked someone else to make a second call for assistance.. 10 minutes later…NOTHING… you have 15 people walking around the cash registers and no one can help…totally will go to Menards’s or Lowes and will tell everyone about my experience

I went to this store to pick up an online order and I called 10 times no answer: when I arrived, out of 5-6 employees standing laughing and talking NO ONE offered to help me. Then they seemed irritated by my presence. I asked for help picking up my online order and the entire time it was glaringly obvious that serving a customer wasn't on the agenda for the day. Then when they brought my items they were incorrect!!! Needless to say, I returned all the items and WILL NEVER return to the Home Depot in Naperville. Please train your staff on customer service: I'm a Pastor full of compassion and this was unacceptable behavior from this many staff members. I'm inclined to believe it's the established culture of this location.

I rented a pro aerator yesterday and from start to finish was a bad experience with the old grumpy people that worked there . Charged me 5.00 for not overfilling the gas tank . I filled it up to the standard but the old grumpy man at the counter said I was a half inch too low . So before you return the machine make sure you overfill it with gasoline that’s exactly what they told me at the time to return instead of the time of pick up .

I want to thank the Assistant Staff Floor Manager for taking charge in order to expedite my refund! The work he did was exceptional and prompted me to go back to the store, as he wanted to meet in person. He was so cordial and willing to right the wrong, that we decided to buy more appliances from the store! Good Customer Service goes a long way! The ASF is the reason we are still Home Depot customers!

I was scheduled for a delivery and installment of a washer a bought. When the delivery team pulled up I sense a dread looked in his face. I assumed it was because of the stairs so I offered for them to go through the garage because through the doors is my laundry room he seemed a little better but still something was off. There is 3 stairs to the laundry room and he kept offering to just deliver to my garage and I said no because I paid for installment. Then he said there was a leak so they couldn't install they could only deliver. I asked if I could call Home Depot and ask about a refund he said I couldn't because he could not wait I can have it delivered to my garage or he could say I refused. I was on the phone with Home Depot when he just left. Home Depot was just as dismissive about my concerns and I just said can it just be delivered and I will have someone else install and they said no because the washer door was defective. I was confused because they told me it was about a leak and was willing to just leave in my garage. It took almost an hour of being on the phone for them to say it wasn't defective but now they cannot deliver until 2 weeks later but online if I place a new order it can be delivered in 4 days. The customer service was all horrible so I just canceled and placed my order somewhere else. It's horrible to feel as if what you are saying does not matter. When I tried to explain I was instantly cut off and felt as if I was being dismissed the entire phone conversation.

Fresh smell of hardware stuff, plants and huge light (and Christmas tree displays when in season) what more could you ask for!? Love this home Depot for all my home improvement and decor needs. We recently bought a home and with that, as we've learned, comes multiple repairs and projects. Service is friendly, we can always find what we need and they have a wonderful outdoor section. Even if you're not into home repairs, they have decorating items, home improvement ideas, paint samples and free smells!
