Updated review: my experience with Unitel’s texting setup has been one frustration after another. After waiting far longer than expected to get the texting feature activated, I was relieved when it was finally turned on, only to discover that it only supports outbound texts. Inbound messages—critical for two-way communication with clients—simply aren’t coming through.
After following up again, I learned that the issue is still under investigation by their texting vendor, with no clear timeline or resolution in sight. This delay in communication and transparency has put my program at risk, and each follow-up just reveals more roadblocks. It’s been disappointing to depend on Unitel for a crucial feature that still isn’t fully operational, with no proactive solutions or updates. I hope others are cautious about relying on this service for time-sensitive needs.

Very gimmicky! Beware! Ported over my number only to find out that you need to purchase a separate plan to receive text messages. Hate it!!! Such a waste of time!! I could have just kept what I had for the price. That fact should be made very very clear from the beginning and I spoke to multiple people before signing up and told them what I needed to use the service for and no one mentioned it until I was all signed up.

In a word... fantastic! The virtual phone system is feature rich and true to their website description. The tutorial videos and articles make it easy to set up, easy to use and easy to edit as needed. When I had additional questions, I found the customer support to be second to none. Where do I begin? Many times you read and see advertisements for products and services that you might think will help you run your business more efficiently. You compare rates, services, and features. Then you start using the service and it's the complete opposite what was advertised.
For instance, VOIP phone companies boast about convenience, low cost, and unlimited talk time. Nevertheless, I have used multiple VOIP prepaid services. I was very disappointed in many. The price, customer service was little to non, and it was difficult to reach someone for tech. support/help. I was about to give up.
Fortunately, I came across a UniTel subscriber that told me how they really like the service and the app was able to track, receive, and forward calls.
So, I immediately went online and signed up. It was amazing how I was able to choose my 1-800 number, speak to a competent courteous professional-Frank. He was wonderful. He answered all my questions and made it and effortless transition to moving the new platform.
In addition, it didn't stop there. I can't say enough about their outstanding customer service and support team, like -Wendy. She is always very helpful and willing to answer all my questions and help me resolve billing and technical issues.
With the highest regard for this company-UniTel, I highly recommend this VOIP prepaid service provider to anyone that once to take their business communication to the next level.
