The custard was good, but nothing else about this experience was up to standard. The $6 worth of custard was tiny. One scoop meant literally a scoop. And nothing on the menu was available except the custard. The waffles weren’t available, pot pie wasn’t available, the Mac and cheese wasn’t available, the salads weren’t available. Seriously, we just bought the custard to have something to eat.

Wow! Everything is so delicious! Service was top notch. Gonna come back for the wagon wheel cinnamon rolls. Loved the cold ice cream on the hot waffle.

Ordered the brownie with 3 scoops of custard to share with my wife. The scoops were so small that it was maybe enough for 1 person. I have never seen such small scoops served before. $10 was way more than it was worth.

Such a cute little place. The cashier was brand new and bless her heart she seemed beyond overwhelmed. She got our orders perfect though! The custard was stellar, do yourself a favor and stop here.

Been here hundreds of times over the years. This week we went for the first time this year. What an extreme disappointment. Nobody seemed to care, lots of items were not available, frozen custard was only okay. Portions were about 1/3 of what they used to be with higher prices. For sure will not return. I’m sure they must have new owners who just want to fleece the tourists and don’t really care. So so sad as this was always a highlight of Nauvoo in the summer.

This place is awesome! The staff is very friendly and the frozen cluster is amazing. You must also try the huge cinnamon rolls. Overall, great place to stop in!

We expected (and found) excellent frozen custard, but we're also (pleasantly) surprised by fresh-baked cinnamon rolls and fully loaded waffles. We thoroughly enjoyed the huevos rancheros and the waffle with BBQ pulled pork. The waffles were light and airy on the inside with a bit of crisp on the outside. They were a nice compliment to the toppings as the dense Belgian style would have been overpowering (imo). Service was engaging and with a smile and we all feel we made new friends. This is a great place to visit at 11:00 am, and we plan to visit for more custard after the performance tonight. Maybe they should start the 11:00 club--extra points for those who come at both 11s :).

So disappointed, will not return. This place was awesome before the pandemic. They have since remodeled and got rid of the napkin fan art that would make stopping by worthwhile so don't come looking for it. As for the experience itself, it took over 20 minutes to get our four simple cups served to us and there weren't even any other customers in the shop. The reason for the delay is (prepare yourself, I'm not even kidding) they literally use a scale and will measure and adjust whatever is on your cone or cup as many times as necessary so that you get the EXACT amount they want to give you. The stingy vibe was a total turn off, and it felt weird to see someone taking ice cream OUT of my bowl before it was given to me 'ere they give me a quarter ounce more, heaven forbid. Not to mention that by the time they've quadruple checked that they gave you the right amount, your custard is half melted. The flavors are good but they do not justify the price or the penny-pinching vibe!!! The audacity to charge the amount they do for the tiny, over-measured scoops they give is just astonishing. My honest advice? Save yourself the disappointment and go to the red restaurant across the street to get an ice cream brick instead; even with the crazy long lines you'll probably get your treat faster, and the prices and amounts are way more reasonable.
