Paid for a suite. The two beds were okay but the pull out couch was pretty awful. The cot only really fit in the bedroom which already had two beds and why would I rent a suite if we were all going to sleep in the same room? The cot fit in front of the bathroom door and sticking out into the kitchen/dining area. There was a television in the eat-in kitchen which can't be seen from the couch. The shower was a complete joke. I'd compare using it to trying to shower with a clogged garden hose. The bath also came fully equipped with one half roll of toilet paper and exactly one tiny cake of soap for 4 people. The decor is 70's LDS and don't bother looking for Gideon's because you won't find it. No one made up the room after our first night. The key cards worked sporadically despite several attempts to fix the problem. Not a comfortable room. Ate at the buffet and wished that I hadn't. Food was lousy and not inexpensive but there aren't really any restaurants in this town. Avoid at all costs.

Pretty awful hotel. Dark and old. Thin towels. Worst shower ever. Terrible internet. Not enough outlets. Old, spartan furniture. Confusing room setup. Easy to get lost trying to find your room. Desk clerk not too friendly. Can't recommend

I don't know what happened to the others that reviewed this business but we had a good meal at a reasonable price and the service was excellent. We were seated promptly, greeted by our server who took drink orders and brought them back promptly. We chose to do the buffet and all the food was hot and fresh, the choices were numerous so we both had a good meal. I would not hesitate to recommend this place for dinner if you are in Nauvoo.

Robert has been doing my family's hair for years. He keeps current on trends, is extremely accommodating and very reasonably priced!

Overpriced dinner buffet. There aren't many options for dinner in Nauvoo, but definitely find somewhere else for dinner.

This is a small hotel in a small town. Most of the workers seem very young. I'm sure it's not busy most of the year. However, we stayed here during "Pageant Season" last week. I assumed they were "tourist friendly" but not so much. When I asked about events in "Old Nauvoo" they quickly said, "We don't know about that." I felt like they seemed resentful that we were there. Definitely not a "Mormon vibe" like a previous review said. Not super friendly, (I assumed they would be) Wrong assumption. The AC worked well. Thank goodness, because it's HOT in the summer. The beds were comfortable. It was very basic and needs remodeling, but I don't think it's as bad as some of the earlier review. Maybe they've updated a bit. At 10:30am on our last day, we returned from a visit to the Nauvoo temple. We asked to stay a half hour past the 11am check out so we could go to breakfast (I pointed to the back of the hotel where their cafe was) they were accommodating. However, when we walked to the cafe, it had closed at 10 am. It was little things like that, that made us feel as if they really weren't attentive to their guests. We also kept having problems with our keys not working. **One thing to note, all over town, is that ATT and other carriers do not receive cell service. I realize this has nothing to do with the hotel, but make sure to use the WIFI, or you won't be able to communicate.

This hotel is awful. Everything is falling apart and there is mold all over. I don't even feel like I can walk around without my shoes on. Let's start in the living room area. Tile I'd cracked right in the center of the room. There is only one couch to sit on and one tv. Normally this would not be a problem but the room sleeps 10 people. So there is no place to get away. The rooms are probaly the best thing about this hotel. The a/c is in the room so it is easy to sleep. The bathroom is full of mold and all the fixtures are falling off. The toilet even sits sideways so you might fall off. I rated it one star because it is worse than staying at a cheap hotel
