We set up an appointment to get a passport for our child. I filled out a portion wrong on the application prior to arriving but Tina was very helpful and helped me with correcting it. The clerks are wonderful at this location! Thank you!

We initially had an appointment at 2 PM for passports for my wife and kids. We had all the paperwork and photos ready to go so my wife's application went smooth and quickly. We didn't bring the kids with us thinking that they would get antsy and because we didn't need photos taken as we already had those ready. We were told the kids had to be present in order to verify that the pictures matched them and what not. We then showed up at 3PM with the kids (infant and toddler) to have their passports done. The USPS website says that walk-ins for passports at this location are Tuesday-Thursdays 3PM-4PM. After standing in line for 10 minutes we made it up to one of the clerks who stated that they would not be able to process our passport applications because the other clerk that was on duty was getting ready to leave and had been working since 4 AM. The clerk (possibly manager) refused to serve us because she would be the only one left staffing the location with other customers waiting to send out mail. USPS needs to staff more people so they could provide the services they advertise.
EDIT: Went in for another scheduled appointment and everything went well. The clerk was very nice and all the paperwork was processed without issues. USPS needs to look into hiring more employees for this location and providing better incentives so people actually apply for the job.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. The older caucasian manager lady was extremely rude and has a bad attitude when I asked simple questions about address change. Not helpful at all. Has absolutely no customer service experience whatsoever.

I have had 2 packages in the past two days damaged by these inept government goose steppers and in the past year have had many more. They have no “handle with care” policies and apparently hire crazy people as our postal driver talks to himself and doesn’t pay attention when he drives. This is why the postal service should be dissolved and given to the private sector. Another splendid example of government incompetence. Also if you try to file a claim they will refuse to help you and say “how do we know we did that” I filed a claim 2 years ago and still haven’t received anything. I have also had mail with cigarette burns on the mail and other mail that was opened. So apparently they can break the law and open people’s mail but I expect nothing less from our government rules for thee and not for us government lap dogs.

Why is my mail/ package still sitting at your facility ? I live 2 blocks away from Tinley Park PO and for some reason, my package left Tinley Park PO and went to New Lenox PO 11 miles away and it's been sitting there! Good employees don't exist in the PO anymore! They just don't care (which to me is a big sign of their character!)

Garbage service, even worse logistics. Manager had an ugly attitude and what seemed to be absolutely no customer service experience.

Went in during passport walk-in hours. Kristi helped me with applying for passports for my kids and was wonderful! Then she helped me with sending in mine and my husbands passports. She was truly so kind and fantastic.

This is the absolute best post office that I have ever been to. Always friendly, professional, and helpful. Other post offices should take a lesson.

Looking for help! I have a mail carrier Sarah who just doesn’t deliver my mail when she feels like it. She put packages at my door angled so I can’t open my front door. I have a 30x30 landing the pkgs can be place anywhere on there. Every other carrier does exactly that. They aways place it on the ground away from my door. This USPS carrier is jamming my door. My screen door broke because because I couldn’t open the door to get the package. Which endangers my family in case of an emergency. I have a disabled family member. This is scary! I spoke to her and asked her PLEASE not do that because in case of emergency I need to get out safely. She told me if I didn’t like to call and complain like I did before. So obviously holding on to a past issue. I spoke to the Mgr. Valerie at the USPS office. She then called me later and told me the mail carrier stated I threatened her and wrote a statement. Which Never Happened. Now I have to pick up my package at the post office. I have to be inconvenienced because of her incompetence. I spoke to Jessica Easton in Consumer’s affairs. I was told they would investigate it. She said she spoke to the Mgr. Valerie that said. “It’s her word against mine”. Although I’ve made several complaints about mail not being delivered and whats happening with my packages. They assured me they would work with me. They did nothing. So my complaint about my mail or packages didn’t matter. They closed my case With out my knowledge. No call back. I keep leaving messages. It’s ignored. 2 years ago the same mail carrier wasn’t delivering my mail or packages. I would get notifications by email that I would have something coming that day. After calling She would tell the Mgr. that she delivered it. I caught her on camera PASSING MY HOME without delivery it. They caught her lying and then the problem was solved. Until recently my problems started all over again. I thought it was just me she had the problem with. Come to find out my neighbors have the same issue and have made several complaints about the same issue. I just want to say my other regular mail carriers are so nice. One actually stop to apologize to me. He said I rarely see you and when I do you and your husband are so nice. Any other employment agency human resource would fix issue or not tolerate this kind of behavior in a work environment. If anyone has any advice on how I can resolve this. It would be greatly appreciated. If anyone from USPS can read this complaint New Lenox Post office is the worst at helping customers.
