Friendly service and the salesman stayed late to accommodate the rental, even though we arrived in town after they closed. They quoted a lower price but it was $65 dollars higher than the quote even though they said the original quote had covered all taxes and fees. All in all very good, very nice service. The prices were fair, but not good.

Been renting from Avis for years, this location for the past two years very frequently. Arrived today and was told they didn’t have any vehicles for my reservation. While I was waiting, someone returned the vehicle. I asked if I could have that one. The clerk told me, that vehicle needed oil change and he couldn’t rent it out. So he tells me he has a pick up truck in the back. I have to climb up two steps to get in the seat. I told him I was not comfortable with this truck. He kept telling me to try something new, you’ll love it, blah, blah blah. I drove it to the end of the parking lot and it dropped from 709 miles to 705 miles to empty just to the end of the parking lot. I turned around to return it. At that moment, another customer was walking in. He immediately rented this customer The vehicle that he just told me he had to go in for oil change. I’m sitting in front watching him. Extremely disappointed.

They don’t know anything about car or coverage you bought. Just say call online phone number.
Car did not come with transponders for tolls so be aware.
If you get hybrid car, make sure it’s fully charged.
Also don’t get fooled with unlimited toll services, still you end up paying tolls. No option to get refund for tolls.

What a great experience at this Avis location. Syed and Zayd great me warmly and helped me out when I forgot to fill up with gas. They were able to tell me where to go and waited for me even thought it was very close to closing time. I can’t thank them enough. I had a terrible time picking up from the Detroit airport the previous night. I waited in line over an hour to pick up my car. I would have taken Avis off my list of preferred rentals, but after the great customer service I received from Syed and Zayd I’ll be using Avis again. Thank you!!

Every time I go there it is a challenge to actually get the car I reserved at the price I reserved it for. After a great deal of arguing the staff eventually caved to fixing the problem and honoring the price I reserved giving me a different, much smaller car with no gas in it. Looking at other reviews, this seems like a consistent problem with this location.
