There's no ATM over there

The place is a dump. More than half the stores are empty. The ones that are open are discount stores with nothing worth buying.

Please google stop fooling us. There was NO ATM at this location. At all. Not sure about the employee floors above though, but at least wasn’t there at the public area or where it indicates here on Google.

There are still Pandemic-inspired directional arrows on the mall floors to control foot traffic -- but I encountered less than a dozen pedestrians total in both the south and north wings. When the centrally-located anchor Sears closed in 2018, access through the mall to either end disappeared. You have to go outside and walk or drive and repark to visit the other side of the shopping center. It seems that most of the store fronts are shuttered. Even businesses that profess to still be open were closed and dark. Penney's, Ross, Ulta, Value City Furniture, Target, and the AMC theaters were open. Only the Sephora inside Penney's and Target (its mall entrance closed) were doing any business. Last January there was serious discussion of tearing down the enclosed section of the mall and turning it back into an open-air shopping center. Meanwhile, Burlington and Chick-fil-A will be opening soon -- both with great visibility at the Golf/Milwaukee intersection. This morning I watched workers put up an exterior sign on the Burlington location. Back in the glory days, there used to be a legitimate theater in the round -- the Mill Run Playhouse -- where I saw fabulous performers, including a blockbuster show featuring Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme. There was also large and picturesque working water mill with walkways, bridges, and pools. The best improvement for this sad property would be to recreate the the mill.

It is very sad to see the mall empty. Locals here do not support the mall. They continue to shop at Woodfield or Old Orchard. This mall used to have most of the brand names, now only a few continue the loyalty and have stuck around. This mall is in a very heavy traffic area but unfortunately sees very little business. Thanks to online shopping and neighbors who don't visit, all the small businesses/vendors within this mall will probably face total shut down soon. Remaining large brand stores include, bath body works, target, ross, jc penny, ulta and phone stores like t-mobile.

Had the chance to stop at nearby Golf Mill mall a couple of months ago. It is conveniently located with ample outdoor parking. While I only visited the J.C. Penny store that day, there are other stores in which to shop. Between Kohl’s, Target and CVS, you can have different kinds of choices in the mall. There is a movie theater as well. While shopping, you can also relax and have a bite to eat in one of the restaurants.

Since Elephant Bar and Golf Mill Cafe left, I have no reason to go there to eat. The food court is no longer the busy, friendly place it used to be.

We were surprised at how many stores were empty on our recent visit. Even the food court had been cut in half! As far as the crowds go, it was pretty dead. Yes, I understand that in the middle of a week most people would be working but I'd still expect school kids & retirees wandering around but even these groups were barely represented.. . I've heard that this mall is going to close; it looks like it'll be going out with a whimper instead of a bang, which is sad given how long it's been a landmark.

Golf Mills Mall has a really nice floor plan. Unfortunately, I am only attracted to the anchor stores, which include Kohl's, JCPenney, Value City Furniture, and Ross Dress For Less. With the exception of the smoothie bar and the Asian souvenir shops, there is nothing impressive within the corridors. I hope the mall gets better merchants eventually. It is in a great location and has a lot of potential.

21 min from hotel hyatt regency, lots of traffic jams during rush hour. Good stores but not very impresive.
