The staff is so thorough and professional. Owned by Giorgio who actually does hair too and does it amazingly too! They do cut, color, updos, extensions and so much more. The location is easy to find with lots of parking too. Very bright and clean European salon with full service. I've been going here for over 34 years. All staff is friendly, kind, honest and down to earth. I walked out making 2 new friends. The prices are way beyond fair for the level of experience and professionalism. This time my best friend and I needed our hair done for a black tie event and Giorgio and his team did both of us. As you can see, two totally different looks with completely different hair textures and we felt like goddesses when we walked out. Definitely check this spot out!

I went to Giorgio Elan for the first time today. I had my hair both colored and cut. I could not have made a better choice, even if I had scoured the Internet for hair salons in the entire Chicago metro area! I was greeted cordially, and there was a friendly, casual vibe to the place. I have found that some salons, like health clubs, make you feel like your hair should already look perfectly coiffed, or you shouldn't have the nerve to book a hair appointment (or, in terms of the health club, that you should already have a perfect body in order to join.) George, who both colored and cut my hair, did an absolutely amazing job. He consulted me about the color, and showed me some color samples, to make sure that I was happy with the end result. I've always been annoyed by hairstylists who do what is trending, and don't take into consideration a person's age or personality. For instance, I would love to have teal, turquoise, and lime green hair, but, sadly, I know that I couldn't pull it off. George was very meticulous about covering all of my gray hair (and there was quite a bit of it.) The cut was also perfect (just enough of a trim to give my hair some shape, without losing the length.) Have you ever gone home from a hair salon in tears because you had short hair and wanted your hair to stay long? I have cried nearly every time I have visited a new salon (beginning at the tender age of three) because my hair was not cut the way I wanted, and the bangs were always short and uneven, making me look like Leonard Nimoy on "Star Trek." I couldn't be more pleased with the color and the cut at Giorgio Elan, both of which were flawless! The shop was extremely clean. There wasn't a single clump of hair on the floor. Not even a single hair. I will definitely be going back. Highly recommended!

I can't recommend Giorgio Elan enough. If you are looking for a salon that combines skill, professionalism, and friendly atmosphere, this is the place to go. My stylist, Marjola, has an amazing sense of style. I have recommended this place to many of my friends and they are now regular customers. Thank you Marjola and the entire team.

I have naturally curly hair and have had difficulties in finding stylists, but George is always on point. I have known him for over 25 years. He has given me amazing short, medium and long haircuts (I always like to change it up) through the years. Came to get blue dye and they neglected to tell me I should wait considering I recently had a different color in it.... dyed it blue and in a day it was green. I went back and then was charged money on top of what I had already paid to strip it. So basically I had to pay for them to correct the work they did wrong. Over 140$ and nothing but damaged hair and not even the color I wanted. He should have told me not to pay considering I paid money for the color he put on that had to be stripped... I don’t recommend this place
