I was not going to write a review until I visited another midas shop. I called the Niles location and informed them I was hoping to get an oil change and had the midas coupon for oil change. Once I arrived the counter informed me it just expired that day. I do not expect them to know when their coupons expired that day.
I've been getting my oil changed at midas for twelves years. My local shop did not have the coupon when I printed out the coupon the weeks before. Usually locations honor the coupon, but this location told me he would get in trouble, I would get in trouble, who would want that. Thought it was an odd response. I asked him if he could scan or type in the code to see if there is a chance if it would be accepted. The counter person refused.
I am not writing this review because the counter person refused the coupon. They offered a $10 that would be close to the amount I would save. An offer he informed me he didn't need to make, which I saw on the door when I walked in. I asked him if I go to another shop would I need the print out, or would it be ok to just show the coupon on my phone. He told me they need to send those in.
On my phone, I found the active coupon for my location. They told me the coupon on the phone is fine. They just hit a button. They were really surprised that the niles location refused the accept the coupon even though it expired that day. I check my phone to find that the coupon at the niles location had the same code.
The reason I am writing the review are as follows.
1 After calling another midas shop, I found out you do not need the print out. Showing the coupon on the phone is fine.
2 Had the counter person tried the coupon code, he would have found that it would have gone through as it's the same code for this month. The print out and the currently active code are identical.
3 The customer service makes me say avoid this location. Don't trust any charges that bill you for. Try any other location.

This place was extremely accommodating to me. This was my 2nd time here. My experience the 2nd time was just as good and even better than the first. I was helped in a timely manner and the costs of my labor and repairs was very reasonable. I will be returning again and again.

This location is incredible! Feels like a small family owned shop instead of a big chain. They are not pushy without upselling you with extra maintenance if it's not absolutely needed. The staff has gone way above and beyond for me. I took my car in and was going to be out of town for a week, so someone walked to the AutoZone down the street to pick up a part I ordered there. This place rocks

It's really hard to find a good and honest Mechanic these days. The Midas shop on Milwaukee Ave. in Niles knocked it out of the park. Professional, honest and reliable! The manager is Great job Midas!

The customer service is amazing! I was able to get my car towed there and get the work that needed to be done within the time frame given. Had one slight issue that was resolved later but overall, customer service was good and them being able to provide details and pictures are very helpful!Thank you all for everything!
