Tried to make appointment for haircut and color, sent my reference photo with my current hair to the phone number, they never responded. Tried calling to the salon and the number they gave me, no response. Bad customer service.

Salon yangmi was highly recommended to me by several of my friends who were long time clients. One of them recently had gotten a haircut from them which looked really good.
Unfortunately my experience was not great.
I was assigned a male designer (hair stylist) as I had no preference of who cut my hair. I never caught his name as he never introduced himself. We had to utilize the gentleman at the front reception to translate since this designer spoke primarily Korean and very little English. I communicated what I was wanted - cut my hair short (few inches below shoulder length), thin hair out and layer. To preface, I have very thick and voluminous hair. He expressed concerns that cutting my hair this short is not idea for my hair type. I had expressed that this is what I have always done and had no issues in the past. He didn’t need to worry and can proceed with my requests. It looked like he had begrudgingly accepted. Throughout the entire session, he kept nodding his head in disapproval, which made me felt very discouraged and uncomfortable. It also felt like he rushed through the entire session bc I was done in about 30 minutes. I was his first client of the day. Outside of the initial discussion there was no further check in or follow up during my hair cutting session. I thought it was standard practice to check in with the client how they part their hair or even at the end to see if more adjustments needed to be made. But he did none of that. Honestly I left feeling very confused and meh about this hair cut.
Now that it’s been over a week since my haircut, I’ve realized how bad of job he’s done. I’ve never had a hair cut this choppy before. There are sections that are distinctly shorter and very uneven. It’s very apparent that he had put no effort into layering my hair so that the layers would more cohesive. I don’t know if this designer is new or he honestly just couldn’t be bother to put in the effort. Overall, this experience has been a big disappointment. I can only speak about my experience this particular male designer. I’m sure there are other designers here that would offer a different experience.

Salon Yangmi has become my go-to salon to get haircuts for awhile now! All of the stylists are extremely talented and have great attention to detail, especially Amy. I’ve gotten consistently great cuts every visit—highly recommend!

Had to get my Asian hair cut after 2 months, but Yuni helped transform my overgrown hair with a good hair cut, definitely would visit again
Also provides communication in Korean for clearer requests

I have been getting haircuts and perms at this salon for over a year, but today’s experience was quite disappointing. I had a haircut with Yoonmi, and the way I was treated made me feel let down by this place. I am not satisfied with the result.

This was the worst hair experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid this place if you care about your hair. By the time I left the salon, I had lost more than half of my hair volume.
Do NOT come to this salon for bleaching — especially not with Amy. If you want your hair to snap off completely, then sure, give it a try. Amy bleached my roots, and the color was totally different from the rest of my hair. My roots ended up a weird pink-orange while the rest was yellow. They actually expected me to leave the salon looking like that! Only after I insisted did they reluctantly agree to fix it. Amy seemed very impatient and annoyed throughout the process.
After the bleaching, my hair became extremely fragile — it started breaking off just from gently pulling.

I refuse to go anywhere else. They REALLY know how to make your hair look and feel good. The entire experience is very relaxing, the salon is super clean, and the staff is highly knowledgeable and professional. I have been going for the last 3 years and I have absolutely no complaints. Thank you, Salon Yangmi! I'm actually about to make an appointment right now :)

I love salon Yangmi!!! I come all the way from the city to get my hair done here, as the stylists are top notch and prices are so fair. My stylist was Janey and she was amazing. I am rather particular on length (I have long hair) and she listened to instructions so well and didn’t cut too much (which is what I usually face when going to other salons). I highly recommend salon yangmi!

I just got a magic straight treatment from Kei, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Kei was incredibly meticulous and paid such close attention to every detail throughout the process. From the moment I sat in the chair, I felt like I was in great hands—Kei took the time to explain each step and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. My hair is now unbelievably sleek, smooth, and shiny, yet still feels soft and natural. I really appreciate the care and effort that went into making sure my hair turned out perfect. If you’re looking for someone who is not only skilled but also genuinely cares about their clients, Kei is the one to go to! Highly recommend!

The staff and hair stylist Yangmi were very friendly and welcoming, however, I do not recommend this place for young people. The aesthetics the hair stylist has is very out of date, and that’s why you may see Korean grandmas are the majority of customers of this salon. I provided a pic of what I wanted to get, followed the advice of Yangmi to choose probably the most expensive perm, asked NOT to cut layers and also emphasized to get root permed. I ended up getting obvious layers and the root part is flat, which is very consistent with grandma style. I do appreciate the patience of communication prior my visit to the staff and Yangmi, but will not return.
