Had the 1/4 lb cheeseburger with fries, and 2 scoops of their home made ice cream after. Food was made to order. Tasty, and maybe prefrozen fries. I was impressed by the ice cream. Husband had the same, and the kids enjoyed the kids meals - which were smaller portions. The young lady who took my order was very thorough and patient with my questions.

Well I thought they opened at 10. The doors were still locked at 10:27 when we left along with others that left as well. Staff needs an education on how to tell time. Not happy customers!!!!!!!!

Been coming here since a kid!! I love it!!! I came to get ice cream and Alaina (sorry if spelt wrong), gave me a great recommendation (considering I’ve been getting the same 3 things since day 1) and she was amazing! So sweet! Thank you Alaina and Carls team!

given ice cream in drive-thru first, had to wait 10 minutes for good with melting ice cream. paid 40 bucks for a few pieces of food, given no receipt or sauces. :/edited to add: the cook pulled out his phone multiple times, then back to touching food immediately.

This is one of my favorite places to go since I was a kid. Unfortunately the service recently had not been the best, especially the younger staff. They are often very rude and short with my husband and I every time we try to order and I noticed recent reviews also have the same issue. I hope this gets addressed soon because I really love this place but it is becoming less enjoyable with every visit.

My order is always missing something. I mean, every time. In the half a dozen or more times I've been there in the last year, I can't remember a single time that something wasn't messed up. Typically they just forget a side or my drink or my ice cream. But it is irritating to get home and not have everything you ordered and I feel bad that I have to check my bag in the drive-thru every time now to make sure I got everything.

I have been to Carls a couple times before and it has been good. I go to ISU and always recommend Carls to newcomers or others on campus. I am not extremely familiar with the menu, but I know that there are lots of flavors and topping options. Ice cream is my favorite food, and I am a big advocate for tons of toppings. It's the best part to me! After having an exhausting day, I decided I deserved some ice cream. I went at 8pm and it was drive through only, which is fine, but the flavors and toppings aren't posted at the drive thru so I was a bit stumbly with my order. I asked for 2 different toppings with a sauce. The girl taking my order had me repeat myself a couple times, and her tone made it seem like my order was absolutely crazy. She said it was only possible to get 1 topping. I told her I would pay any amount I needed to. She said no. I decided to just leave and go to Culvers. This was such a disappointing experience. She was not very kind and made me feel like I was crazy for even asking. I always try to support local before going to a chain restaurant and have advocated for Carls in the past. This is either a case of an employee being completely uninterested in their job, or management who doesn't allow employees to feel empowered enough to go above and beyond to give great customer service. Either way, something needs to change.

The food was OK, but the service was questionable. I placed my order, and the person missed that I did not want salt on my fries. I asked for ham and beans, but at home, i discovered it was chili. I called, and they said they would correct it, but I don't live close, so maybe next time.Parking: Certain times of the day, they are very busy. Then, the parking van is a challenge.Kid-friendliness: Yes. Kid treat and thing to eatIndoor dining and outdoor dining.

Just waited 30 minutes in the drive-through for ice cream. While I watched multiple people inside get served ice cream prior, and watched the staff dancing, texting, laughing, and messing around. The cashier never opened the window the whole time I was waiting, finally opened the window after 30 minutes, and tried giving me the wrong item. I explained I did not order that, and she interrupted me while I was explaining what I ordered .Then as I was talking she closed the window on me, she then gave my ice cream and all she said was "Sorry". What is the point of having a drive-through if you are hiring people who have zero customer service and time management skills?

I enjoy having a local ice-cream place I’ve came to for years- though the past year I’ve been disappointed in customer service- especially recently.- might try again in the future to see if things improve as my family enjoys stopping by to get ice cream when we are in town.

If I could do zero stars, I would. 30 mins in the drive thru (at least) just to get a messy, melted sundae, with no napkins. Go anywhere else, literally.

Everything tasted great. We got burgers and ice cream. Nice atmosphere, good customer service. My only gripe is in the bathroom- walking into the men’s room gives a direct line of sight into the stall and it’s awkward. Please fix.
