Decent selection and prices

Worst priced goodwill in the Midwest! The Amazon hot list for media is a joke. Every decent book is upcharged. Clothes are overpriced. If donating in Bloomington-Normal, its better to give to Habitat Restore or Abundant thrift.

NEVER coming or donating anything here ever again . Leftovers yard sale trash is what’s on the rack. Holes , ripped , stained. Found absolutely nothing. I recently found their list online where they’re trained to send their “good stuff” to their e-commerce platforms where they charge high reseller prices and then what the deem “worthless “ they put on the racks for us.
Stained ripped Walmart target and Shein on the racks for us peasants to buy. Then they still price those items close to what you can buy them new for , or price higher than new. Shame on goodwill.
They tagged $15 for a used up SHEIN top that only cost $2 new? Go support a small independent thrift shop instead. Outrageous , they’ve lost their way. Their original mission is dead and gone.

Men's section is a disaster. Pants and shorts rack doesn't have waist size labels, but rather XL/L/M -- men's pants are by waist size. Aside from that, the sizes are all over the place, and women's pants are mixed in. The same is going on with the shirts, there are size tags on the racks but the merchandise is totally disorganized. Even worse, the t-shirt rack is packed so tight with merchandise that you don't have room to shop. I had to take a handful of shirts off of the rack just to be able to move the shirts on the rack. Feel like they should mark everything for a dollar for a day to clean up the store.

While inventory is great most of the time the clothing origination if terrible. Mens and women’s athletic shorts are mixed. Their sizing is accurate. I can’t go in and I my look for XS or small dresses because all sizes are mixed. When I mentioned this to the employee they said they are not required to size them correctly! This is not a good customer experience.

Goodwill in Normal Illinois posts a flash sale on Monday selling the previous weeks tag colored items for 99 cents. But on Sunday and Monday they pull the items with the flash sale tag color and remove them from the sale floor. One staff member told me the manager says they don’t make any money on the flash sale and that’s why they pull the items. This is a bait and switch and is potentially a violation of the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Practices Act. False advertising by a non-profit is very troubling. I will no longer be donating to Goodwill.

I will not be using this facility anymore. On Saturday around 1:00 we tried to donate some small collectible items and there was a line. We were waiting patiently when we noticed a few cars in front of us start pulling out of the line and leaving. The car in front of us was an old lady she pulled up and in a short time we realized the holdup was a large van that was pretty much full from top to bottom and the staff were taking their time unloading it. The old lady got out of her car and went and back to get two items to donate. The guy who appeared to be in charge started screaming at her telling her to get back in her car that they only do it in one vehicle at a time. That was too much for me. The old lady who was just standing there Frozen not understanding what the problem was, we pulled around to leave and I could hear the guy still yelling. He wasn't doing this etc etc etc. The truck behind us pulled up next to the bins and started throwing stuff in the bins. We left and so did several other vehicles behind us. We're in the process of a remodel and we're going to be donating couple items, but I guess they will go to other places at this point.

Vary disappointed with Bloomington Illinois, Goodwill. I went in there last Thursday May 23rd 2024. Nobody at all inside. EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING was way over priced. They'd onto even take time to price any item.. EVERYTHING was $5.99 for used clothing, free used clothing. Then everything on each rack was $5.99 and above. Nothing for $1. Nothing in hardware like old used candles. $6 to $8 for candles that has Ben half burned. You couldn't find not one thing in that store for a dollar or .50 cents. Right across the street is wal mart you can buy brand new tanks for $3 and under. Leggings at Walmart $2.00 not faded,or used. It's like the manager just marked everything in the store for $5.99 and all the way up to $30 for clothing in the middle of the store and whatever they got going on in the front of the store, like you're walking in a department store with new clothing and it's not. This is hand outsOutrageous prices from the giving. The needy can't even buy used bras for $8 to $10 . They have went silly on pricing. I've never seen it so empty, ever. Usually you have to wait forever in line to check out. We'll there was nobody checking out. I left with nothing. Re- think your outrageous prices. Every threshold shoo goes from .25 cents - $4.00 nobody is gonna ay $8 or more for anything there. I`m not trying to be rude. But you've taken the fun out of it. Plus I don't see you selling anything at all or fast. It's just sad I'm serious, I went from tank tops to dresses, work paints, pjs... most were $12- $30...crazy. Every cup or drinking glass was $7 and above... crazy. So, it's sad but, I wouldn't waste your time going all the way out there . It's a waste of time and it will disappoint you. Better off going to Walmart or to garage sales..

Gross, disorganized, and overpriced. Everything in here smells musty and moldy. I legit saw a pair of No Boundaries (Walmart brand) shoes that were very worn marked at $14.99. This was far from the only thing like this. I don't know who sorts and prices this garbage but it's ridiculously bad. Pass on this one.

I purchased a few things but the prices were very very high. If your looking for a deal or some goodies for cheap, I wouldn't recommend.

They never know when they will be able to accept donations. I've been there three times now when they aren't accepting clothes, or aren't accepting housewares. Yesterday I was told to come back today so I could donate housewares, drove all the way across town only to be told they arent accepting housewares again today. Annoying. Needs to be posted on website if you aren't accepting donations that day.
