We dropped in on a Friday evening after an oil level warning came on an hour into a 4 hour road trip and the VW dealership staff took us in immediately, corrected the oil level, and sent us on our way in under 20 minutes! Absolutely the best and most efficient service we’ve ever had.

Dropped off my car on 10/29 for a routine oil change and some warranty work (middle row seat frame replacement) and was told I may need to pick up the car on 10/30
Wasn't an issue originally. Somewhat disappointed because I was under the impression when scheduling the appointment that I'd have my vehicle back that same day.
After talking with their VW Service Team, it sounds like the vehicle may not even be done on 10/31. At least three days without my car.
I've missed two days of being at work since I work in Champaign. I've been trying to keep up with some work virtually. I make the drive to Bloomington since I have friends here and prefer the dealership.
I understand they're a bit short staffed currently, but this really puts me out. Hoping for a better update in the morning.

Do Not purchase an extended warrenty from this dealership. If for any reason you either sell or trade the vehicle you will be cheated out of the purchase price from this dealer. I purchased a 2025 ID Buzz with an extended warrenty for $3,900. I traded the vehicle and asked this dealer for a refund. To this date I have not received notice from this dealership and I am out the monies that I paid. Volkswagen of Bloomington Normal is a dealership that should be avoided if you value your hard earned money.

This is directly related to their service department. My VW Taos needed a new head gasket and it was covered under warranty. They had my car for 6 weeks and I had to call weekly for an update. Anytime I called there was a “setback”. One nice thing they did was pay for my van rental for spring break. Unfortunately, I was promised the reimbursement for the can rental would take 7-10 business days but it was more than a month before we finally got the check. I had to call weekly to see what the hold up was. I would not recommend going here for a fix unless it’s a warranty issue.

We had a great experience buying our 2025 Volkswagen Atlas. Everyone we worked with made the process smooth, easy, and actually enjoyable.
The General Manager, was great to work with. He was easily accessible and promptly answered any questions we had. He was fair, easy to talk to, and helped make the deal work. You could tell he really cared about making sure we left happy.
The Internet Sales Manager, is the one who helped close everything out. Very good communication and responded promptly to our inquiries. She’s really knowledgeable about the vehicles and buying process and made sure we were taken care of, even after the sale. That kind of follow-up really stood out to us.
Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our experience at Bloomington Volkswagen. Highly recommend them if you’re in the market for a new or used vehicle. We will definitely consider this dealership again for our next vehicle.

Service department is a joke. Communication is terrible.When they diagnosed the car they didnt order the part for 5 days.They knew i was coming to pick up my car and still had it torn apart when they said it would be ready. The service repair rate is insane at $195 hourly! I would avoid for any service reparirs at all cost!

Sam has been wonderful to work with! He helped us find the right vehicle and trim, was patient as we thought everything through, and found answers to all the questions we had. We drove 3 hours to get there and it was worth the trip. The VW dealership in our city employs high pressure sales tactics. They play games and just make the car buying experience adversarial and unpleasant. Though our local dealership had the same car we ultimately bought from Volkswagen of Bloomington, it cost $14,000 less between the retail price and what they gave us for our trade. Annie was really pleasant to deal with. No games, no pressure just a great price and a great experience. I will be back the next time we need a car.
