I was excited to get new countertops--needed them for years and finally went in, chose a countertop sample that I liked, paid in full, and waited. On the day of the installation, I thought the installers handled the counter with greasy, dirty hands because there were black smudges in random places, mostly on the edges. They said it's part of the material. That is the same story I'm getting from the local Home Depot management, the Corporate level management (who now won't even reply to emails). These black marks were definitely NOT in the sample I chose. I understand there may be a little variation in color, but these are absolutely awful. Nobody would want a counter with these random black smudges on it. I was told that it matches the manufacturers specifications...I don't care. It is not what I saw in the store and paid for. $3000 is a lot of money to me and not a drop in the bucket for Home Depot. They're telling me too bad--they aren't going to do thing about it.

I went in for some larger plywood and needed it cut down to size. The employee supposed to be working lumber was nowhere to be found for at least an hour. Joe (who said he was a new transfer) went out of his way to help everyone I saw him cross paths with; myself included. Joe and Martin seemed like they were running that half of the store. Thanks guys!

Downloaded yelp just to say that this place has the worst customer service I've ever seen. Waited fifteen minutes to ask for help and was told to try looking again before eventually deciding to just climb the shelves myself to grab the cardboard box I needed help getting down.

Bloomington/Normal Ill, Oct 3,2021 approx. 1400 waited an hour for help at Menards,asked several times for help...got none...crossed the street to Home Depot asked for help got Elaine,got right on what we wanted,wasn't sure on how to enter our order she called Dani...long story short little over 2k later 2 new exterior doors and 3 new storm doors ordered...Thank You Elaine,Thank You Dani...Completely helpful,courteous, and customer service oriented!!! These 2 deserve a well done and a raise!!! LaDon F DeLap

Unhelpful, poorly-stocked, and about 50% of employees don't follow posted safety protocols. It's a bunch of trying-but-don't-know-much college students and entitled-but-dangerous-ratlicking-boomers there. I've now walked out and not purchased twice because it was more anxiety-inducing to shop there than to actually build the thing I'd intended. It's a bad place, and the manager should feel bad.

Very pleasant experience on the first day of the mask decree from on high. I was never asked, or made to feel bad, cause I wasn't wearing a mask! Great store, and Company!

Always I'm complaining that Lowe's is full of rude workers and I can't ever get someone that is friendly and efficient. We went to The Home Depot today, Jeff who worked in the appliance section was so friendly and we were in and out, ordered a new fridge and got it scheduled for delivery. They show value workers like him. Great job Jeff.

I am so unbelievably disappointed in the service we've received at the Home Depot in Normal, Illinois. We purchased two replacement garage doors in July. We paid for the doors in full. The installer came out, confirmed the measurements and the order was placed. We have called four times and physically visited the store twice about this purchase. The service people there continue to tell us it's their partner causing the delay. Today, I went to the store because when I called the service person was unable to give me any updates, and we'd have to wait until Monday for the store to contact distributor. When speaking with the manager at the customer service and getting the same runaround, I asked would it be an additional charge if they installed the one door (which was her solution to my immediate problem) that was available because our door is becoming a safety hazard, which is why we purchased a new door in the first place. She advised that she didn't know if there would be an additional charge. So, I asked to be refunded if the doors aren't available on 9/18 so we can get the doors from another store, in which she replied that she and the store manager had discussed that option before I arrived and she'd advised that we could not have a refund because these were custom doors. So, they can't tell me when the doors will be available, can't tell me if we will be charge twice if we replace the broken door, hey have our money, and we have to potentially lose two days for installation. Upon talking to the store manager, she reiterated what the previous manager had shared and was non committal on how she would make us whole since we are being so inconvenienced and the service is so horrible. We paid for a service and continue to have to reach to the store for a product that they promised two weeks ago.

They have helped me out many times at this store getting material of all kinds for different projects. This is the best home improvement store in the area. Always get great service in the end and that is why I always go to this store.

With not enough tile in stock, we were told we would have to make trips to multiple Home Depot's to pick up the additional pieces needed. They refuse to do store to store, yet employees on the floor and customer service desk made comments otherwise. Frustrating experience within the store that makes me want to not want to continue doing business there. Please create policies and communicate them to all your employees, so that situations like this can be avoided.

Home Depot has never been so much fun. Recently in house number 2 and ready to start some much needed renovations. We have been working with David in the custom kitchens trying to work out a good configuration and setup for our new kitchen. He has been so great to work with, very knowledgeable and friendly. Also, my husband has recently taken on wood working and he makes frequent visits to HD they have everything he needs and a wide variety as well.
