Hotel overbooks intentionally and then tries to send you to a hotel nobody has ever heard of with terrible reviews. Avoid at all costs.

75 dollars pet fee!? Ridiculous
Update: It's not about being high, is about being robbed. Let's be honest, just don't accept pets. Simple like that. We ended up going to another hotel.

Parking is across the street. Hotel cleaning left three coffee cups and a pink rag and no envelope for a cleaning tip, which obviously the cleaning team sadly didn't earn a tip. The breakfast bar was exceptional, the rooms were comfortable and a great value. Had a magnificent time! Highly recommend for weddings, family events.

Incompetent staff. The DMV provides better customer service. It would also be nice if the room was clean and the bathroom wasn't mold infested.

Not my first choice, and my experience confirmed why. I had already paid for the stay, but they charged me twice for the entire amount, calling it an incidental hold. I flagged it, and though I got the refund, it was a hassle. The laundry service was another issue—advertised at around $32 per bag (confirmed by staff), but I was shocked to be charged over $92 when I received my clothes. Even the laundry slip listed $32 per bag.
On a positive note, the location is convenient, and the staff was generally friendly and responsive when I raised these concerns. The rooms were comfortable and clean, which added some relief during my stay. However, these billing inconsistencies made the overall experience less pleasant than it could have been.

Arrived at 11PM, traveling alone, attendant at desk, (in full hazmat suit - zero skin showing, mask, plastic gloves) shared my room was given away. Could not find me another room 30 miles away, spent 90 minutes finding new room, and driving. ZERO apology from management, they were rude, arrogant, zero consideration for woman traveling alone. Told I would be compensated and not charged. Zero compensation and charged for room. Disastrous customer service and consideration for my safety.
Safety: Arrived at 11PM, they gave away my room, took one hour to find me new one, 30 minutes away in desolate area, no one at desk upon my arrival

Very nice place. Great place to stay when you have kids that go to ISU. Rooms are clean, staff was very friendly, parking was close and covered, and the location is very near the campus and the housing. The continental breakfast was not bad, but it used to be great, that is the only flaw that I see with this Hyatt. I feel like there used to be more choices. Overall, I really like this place and we will stay here again.

got walked by this hotel, they oversold. I had a long day with flight delay and driving from ORD, when I got their at midnight, they told me they oversold my reservation! Worst experience as a customer and Hyatt globalist.

Stayed here for a whole entire week and hated every second. Room service was nonexistent. Not once did they come into my room. I had to go and beg for new towels.
The pool was horrible. Smells like pure chlorine. That smell doesn’t ventilate out and it smells toxic.
Breakfast was cold, waffles had no syrup, and the oatmeal was just flooded with water.
Everything in this place is outdated and just seems old. It does not give Hyatt vibes… I truly felt like I was staying at a motel especially since for the 7 day stay I had absolutely no room service!!!!

The two missing stars in my review are because of the lack of service at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and cordial but it took me 3 phone calls to get conditioner, when housekeeping should have replaced the empty bottle before I checked in.
The rooms, breakfast area, pool and gym were great! Food was very delicious and diverse. But simple things like water jugs were empty, cups were never replaced and breakfast wasn’t being refilled even though employees are there - staff should be reminded to be more proactive.
Location was great- in uptown next to the university and train station. Plus great restaurants all walking distance away.

HASSLE WARNING
One star for room having a broken door and television. One star for discarding/misappropriating our property. One star for computer system causing us to receive a parking citation from the Town of Normal garage. Luckily there are many better options to finish our vacation stay. HASSLE WARNING

Rooms: My son and I had a great 2 queen room. The sofa area had a little partition to separate the areas. Room was tidy and comfortable.
Walkability: Great location! Easy walk to town, tran station and campus too.
Food and drinks: We had good breakfast options at the hotel. There is a Starbucks connected. We did not visit Starbucks.
Several food optiins in town that are quite walkable.

Second stay at a Hyatt Place this trip with so many disappointments. We booked here because they advertised a restaurant and when we checked in, were told they had no one to work it. Have to leave the premises to find a restaurant. Hardly convenient with a bad knee. Called front desk and she was 7 people deep. No one to help with breakfast. No money off our stay. No convenience and no employees
Food and drinks: Had an attached Starbucks. Advertised restaurant, but closed due to lack of help. No signs in hotels. No bar. Could not get a drink nor breakfast
