First off I want to start by saying that Gabe the manager at journeys in the hip mall went above and beyond to resolve my problem. He was very professional when I explained to him about the shoes that I purchased and the outcome of using a cleaning product I purchased as well and the effects of it into how it ruined my shoes. He took the time to resolve the issue which shocked me because it’s rare to see those outcomes nowadays, I will continue to shop at journeys as a loyal customer because of Gabe’s stellar professionalism in customer service, journeys should be lucky to have a great employee as this young man.

Let me be the first to say, I highly recommend this journey location and Jaeda as your sales rep. Location is clean and very welcoming. Jaeda was everything to my family of 6. From welcoming to communicative, to attentive. She did that! This will be our spot for anything we need from shoes to bags. Ps. Thanks Jaeda, My hells fire bag is being used todaaaay 😂🫶🏾

Jaeda was very friendly. She was nice she let me know what’s on sale. She also let me know what I can I do to get an extra 10 dollars off my purchase. She was patient and helpful. Hire more people like her.

This was my very first time coming to this mall. I stopped by journeys because it’s Ugg season. Let me say Jaeda was absolutely amazing. She had a smile on her face the entire time and was eager to help us. These days good customer service is hard to find. Jaeda absolutely NAILED IT!!

Had a horrible experience at Journeys at Harlem Irving Plaza. We spent $100 on knee high Converse gym shoes for my daughter and the zipper split open the first time she wore them. We brought them back to the store and the clerk refused to refund our money or exchange the shoes because in his view the zipper looked fine. He told us to try to wear them again to see if the zipper held. My daughter wore them to school again and the zipper again split open. We brought the shoes back once more and the clerk refused to exchange or refund our money because he noticed a small smudge of dirt which he said rendered the shoes non-returnable. We tried to explain that they sold us defective merchandise but the clerk basically told us we were stuck with the shoes. This store has the worst customer service I have ever experienced and would not recommend anyone to shop here.

Bought here a few times thru the years, always had a decent experience until today. Had some flats that were hurting so went to go buy comfortable sandals, a for sure buy because I needed to get out of the flats I had. Someone was hanging stuff up on a ladder when I walked in. I was looking at the selection for sandals closer to the register so I didn’t notice the guy w/ the ladder trying to get by with it. He also didn’t say anything to me to let me know he was there so how could I have known. Unfortunately an employee named Jada and another guy were close by talking but instead of letting me know he wanted to pass by or anything. She told the guy with the ladder “just hit her” and Jada and the other employee just laughed. Once I saw the guy w/the ladder just waiting I realized she was talking about hitting me. I spent my money somewhere. Rather not have someone get commission from me if they talk about me in that way just because I was busy looking at shoes as I’m suppose to in a shoe store.

The last time I bought something in that store... they never help you and always make excuses after they have your money. What very unpleasant experiences that the people who work in that store give you... be careful.

Staff here is nice and friendly. However, if you’re considering working here, seriously, don’t. Hourly pay is $13 and the old manager Jennifer is selfish with hours, and overall just a, let’s say it rhymes with mITCH. Pay is weekly. Thank god she quit, hopefully that store can finally die now. There’s a reason so many employees, assistant managers, and managers quit within a month to a few months time span, it’s laughable honestly. Passive aggressive and doesn’t open her mouth to effectively communicate, just write sly notes and grades you like you’re in high school, very childish, which I can see why, considering her age and stature. 8 employees that I know of have quit consecutively. Journeys is seriously a joke. Do not work there unless it’s your first job, and or you’re in high school and just want retail/experience in general. Since they don’t give you many hours, you’ll maybe get $100 every week if you’re lucky. AVOID at all costs.Store expectations are a joke. You have a daily & weekly goal SOP’s (Standards of Performances). How do you hit your week goal if you only work 1 day out of the week? And if you ask for more hours, manager says to get your percentages up and then you can. Again. How would that be obtainable if you work 1 day out of the week.The ONLY good thing about this job is the 40% discount.There’s a reason no one knows what this store is. It was close to shutting down, I see why.Sure, shop here if you’re a customer. But if you’re seeking employment, look anywhere else. Even Panda Express in this mall pays more hourly, $16.(Edited.)

Just shop online this store is so inconsiderate and inconvenient. All the bags are zip tied to the wall, you can't even look inside them or move them more than 2 inches.Tried to put on a display shoe and they told me I couldn't try it on. I waited 10 min only to be brought out the match to the display with no laces so I really couldn't try it on. Then they told me I could try on the display.
