The cashier Vanessa was quite rude and short with me for no apparent reason. Look, I know everybody has bad days sometimes, but when you treat some guests with kindness, and others with contempt, and the only differentiating factor is the guest’s race.. well, that comes off as racist. Very uncomfortable. Will not return.

I stopped by Ulta today after a really stressful 24 hours. I flew to Chicago from California to visit a friend, but my flight got canceled and my luggage somehow made it to LA without me. I had absolutely nothing with me. I woke up feeling pretty rough—physically and emotionally—and just wanted to grab a few essentials to feel somewhat human again. As soon as I walked in, Rosa greeted me with the warmest smile. She was so kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She took the time to walk me through everything I needed—cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, foundation, contour—you name it. I didn’t feel rushed at all, and honestly, her kindness completely changed my mood.Because of how great she was, I ended up buying several products—and I’m actually really happy with everything I got. I walked in feeling drained and overwhelmed, but left feeling lighter, refreshed, and taken care of.
Rosa didn’t just help me shop—she lifted my spirits. Ulta is lucky to have someone like her. She’s the kind of employee who really makes a difference. Thank you so much, Rosa. You made my day, and I’ll remember it for a long time.

Amazing Experience with Efa!
I just had to take a moment to recognize ULTA employee Efa for the incredible service she consistently provides. Every time I visit, she goes above and beyond to help and make sure I leave with exactly what I need. Her product knowledge is unmatched, and she’s always so sweet, personable, and genuinely caring.
Not only is she professional and attentive, but she’s also incredibly talented her makeup is always flawless and inspiring! You can tell she truly loves what she does, and it shows in the way she treats every customer with kindness and grace.
Efa is truly a beautiful person inside and out, and she’s made my ULTA experience nothing short of amazing every single time. Thank you, Efa, for being such a gem!

Three times the online site stated products were available at this location. And each time visited, the staff (different person each time) states they will check in the back since the item is not on the floor only to come back stating they are out.

The girls in the perfume area look mad and salty! Maybe because they work for $16 an hour or because they’re old and work for $16 an hour! Why do I have an unpleasant experience each time. It’s like they’re mad for no reason and if you ask them a question they get and look furious 🤣🤣🤣 @ulta please teach them manners and people skills for good customer service.

I went into the store to make a Happy Return, but there were no signs indicating where to go. The online orders desk was unattended, so I got in the regular checkout line, which was long. After waiting, the cashier told me she needed a scanner, and another cashier rudely told me I needed to go to the online section instead. By that point, other customers had already arrived there, even though I had been waiting much longer. Because of the lack of signage and poor communication, I had to start over and wait again, which felt very unfair.
The staff showed little interest in helping or being understanding. The overall customer service experience was disappointing, and the cashiers could definitely use training in professionalism and courtesy.

Hello, I want to share my experience in your store. I felt uncomfortable and harassed during my visit, since at least seven employees approached me at different times to offer me help, without giving me space to calmly see what I needed. One of them, who mentioned being a specialist, also insisted unnecessarily. I didn't feel free to walk around the store quietly, so I decided to retire without making any purchase. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this branch and prefer to visit other stores where they respect the customer's space more.

I recently visited Ulta with my mom to pick up some makeup for my prom, and the experience was completely ruined by one of the employees, Tiffany. Before we even approached the register, we witnessed her being incredibly rude to the customer in front of us simply because they didn’t want to open a credit card. Her tone was condescending, and she blatantly implied the customer couldn’t afford their purchase — it was disturbing and uncomfortable to witness.
Unfortunately, we ended up being rung up by Tiffany ourselves, and it only confirmed how unprofessional she was. As we checked out, she kept trying to upsell us on more products, even after we clearly and politely said no multiple times. She wouldn’t take no for an answer. At one point, she said things like, “Are you sure? Are you sure?” and “It’s just one eyeliner, it’s nothing big or crazy expensive for you.” The way she said it was beyond rude — it was fake, condescending, and made it seem like she thought we were too broke to care about a “small” product. Her tone was so belittling, it felt like we were being judged the entire time.
Then came the credit card pitch, which was even worse. She pushed the card hard, ignoring our repeated no’s. She made it sound like we needed it to afford our total — again, completely inappropriate. It wasn’t just the pitch, it was how she said it — like she was doing us some favor we couldn’t possibly refuse. She kept pushing and pushing, and then tried to shove a “free gift” down our throats like it was some epic deal of a lifetime. She was basically dangling it in front of us like bait, saying things like, “You get this for free if you apply today,” and wouldn’t back off even when we said no multiple times. It felt so manipulative, like she thought a cheap gift would be enough to trick us into applying.
Tiffany clearly only cares about getting credit card signups, no matter how uncomfortable or insulted the customer feels. Her behavior was aggressive, classist, and fake. Ulta should really reevaluate the kind of people they have representing their stores, because this was disgusting. I left feeling disrespected and disappointed — and honestly, I won’t be coming back to that location.

Had such a great experience at Ulta! Julia was incredibly professional and so sweet—she helped me find the perfect shades for both my concealer and foundation. She was genuinely happy to help❤️. I also got a haircut with Mia and I’m absolutely in love with it! She did an amazing job. Highly recommend both of them!
