I made an appointment online for 730 am on Saturday. When I got there they told me that they do not do diagnostic on Saturday. This information was not posted when I made appt. I talked to service rep around 12 pm he told me he hoped to have a diagnostic done. I got a text at 220 pm and no return phone call. I checked phone at 3pm and called back but they had closed at 3pm. When I talked to customer service they knew about car and stated that service rep tried to call me and call would not go through, voicemail was full and I opted out of text messages. However I recieved a text about repair and I did not get a calls on my call log. Monday came and I received 3 calls from the dealer about repair. I found that funny. It is troubling when people try putting burden on customer when they fail to communicate properly. Situation could of been handled so much better.

The service was fast even when they get unexpected customers that stop in for a check engine light (me). They were very helpful and set me up with a rental car until the work could be completed later in the week. I will continue to get my car serviced here.

Good inventory of cars. No pressure sales approach. Prompt response and accommodating regarding questions and test drives. Plenty of people willing to assist me.
I researched several area dealers and found Gerald Subaru North Aurora to have competitive pricing along with a straight up sales approach. First time in 34 yrs that buying a new car was a pleasurable experience.
3/2022 85k miles later
I orginally gave a 5 star rating back in 2017 regarding the purchase experience which was indeed quite nice. However over the last 5yrs of ownership of my 2018 outback the service experience at this dealership has been disappointing. During this time multiple returns have been required to address a single problem (front wheel bearing replacement 3 visits due to incorrect installation, oil change 2 visits wrong oil used, axel replacement 2 trips missed bad rear wheel bearing during initial evaluation). Detailed technical communication regarding discovered failures is poor.
Recommendation... Ok to purchase here but seek service elsewhere.
UPDATE 11/25 In the last 2yrs I feel that service has significantly improved at GSNA. Although most of my visits have been simple maintenance pertaining to oil, differential, and CVT fluid changes. Scheduleing service appointments online is easy in addition to providing online pricing on common services. The vehicle report and service recomendations provided at the end of your visit is also a nice touch. As a current owner of 4 Subaru's I believe I'll continue to have my vehicles serviced at GSNA.
