I do Uber for a living, so I'm all over the place. I ran out of my favorite hair products and I wanted to try some new stuff too, so I stopped in. Alicia (I hope I got her name right) helped me and she was absolutely amazing! So kind, patient, informative and helpful! Thank you!

Lori, the store manager, went above and beyond above and beyond. From a past purchase at another Sally's supply, Lori was able to locate the exact product and shade purchased. She was knowledgeable in how to coordinate and mix said product, in order that we could achieve a heightened sense of satisfaction over our desired result. Her recommendations brought approval from my friend, a former hair stylist. When a particular brand was vacant on the shelf, she went into the back to see if she could locate a replacement. When that couldn't be done, she offered to locate another Sally's store with the product we are looking for in stock. place an order with that Sally's store all in the attempt to keep this customer satisfied. Her thoughtfulness, product knowledge, and tenacity went a long way with me. Because my friend, a former hair stylist approved of all the input Lori gave, this is the location I will go to to have my hair care and beauty needs addressed. Because I am not a former hair stylist, and am easily overwhelmed and confused with the saturation of products on the market, it is a help to have someone knowledgeable to help me streamline what I am hoping to achieve. And help me narrow my focus. Lori is a wealth.

A really caring associate helped me with toning information. I’ve never toned my blonde on my own before, and due to conflicting schedules with me and my usual hair girl, i had to tone my blonde at home. And they answered every question I had and when i got home and toned, it toned to the EXACT level i wanted it to because of their recommendation. I didn’t get their name but they had a cute beanie on and a septum piercing. Literally will only come back when they’re working!!

This location has declined significantly in customer service. April 2023. Arrived at 3:46p on a monday to snag an online pick up order, only to find a hand written sign "back in 30 minutes." No time stamp to indicate when 30 minutes began or ended. We gave it a few minutes and luckily didn't need to wait that long, still ridiculous. Upon arrival home, realized the conditioner was the incorrect size. Called to make sure they had it in stock and to see if I could come next day to exchange. Next day, went in- greeted by older woman, curly, faded green hair who was scrolling on her phone- didn't even so much as look up. Filled her in. She said nothing, just took my receipt, went to the shelf to check my claim since (their receipts do not indicate volume, just a code.) She brought over the correct size, sat it on the counter, mumbled "this isn't even the right receipt" (excuse me? I had two and a fulfillment print off, they all read the same, I brought one because how unnecessary to bring all.) Told me to verify information on the screen. I looked at information, confirmed correct verbally not realizing it wanted me to accept it on the card screen. A few seconds later, a snarky- are you going to confirm it !?came from her. I looked at screen and noticed the accept button, hit it and told her there was no need to be rude. I didnt realize there was a confirmation button at the bottom. She snapped back at me, "I dont have an attitude" and for the first time in the whole interaction, made eye contact but it was a stare as if to intimidate. Incredibly unprofessional. Multiple other locations in the area, skip this one.

Went on Monday and I was completely rushed and now I ended up with something I didn’t want. Went in looking for a bright purple dye for my daughter I was immediately greeted by an associate i told her I was just looking and she continued to stand there and ask what was I looking for I told her what I was looking for and she went ahead and selected the color for me didn’t even ask if that color Purple was the one I was looking for. Once she chose it she started rushing towards the register, seeing that it wasn’t the purple I was looking for I asked her if the purple she chose would be bright because my daughter had dark hair and we want it to stand out. As she still walking towards the register she just says yes this one is fine. Just used it on my daughter and she went from bleached highlights to having dark hair again because this Purple was literally what I wasn’t looking for it’s like she never dyed it and went back to her original dark hair. This purple is so dark u can’t see it! I appreciate the help but when we say we’re just looking it’s because we don’t want your help so don’t push.

Just moved to the area and decided to go to Sally’s to purchase a bulk of items my goal was to purchase about $500 in products. The store manager at this location store 3694, was rude as can be!I went in to purchase all of these items the first thing I grabbed was a pair of clippers of WAHL clippers not cheap but great brand. The box felt very light therefore I asked her to please open it up to make sure that everything in there was correct. She inspected the box she opened it up and said everything was there it looked like a pouch was missing from this box therefore she proceeded to go to the shelf pick up another box that was unopened and opened her self to show me that I was wrong as she was right. When I went to purchase more items she started shaking her head no so I proceeded forward to go to the counter and check out while there was a young lady there very kind doing the checkout I had a coupon with a code and I zoomed in with my phone to show her the code the store manager comes up to the counter snatches my phone out of my hand and tells me that this coupon is not applicable to the item I am trying to purchase when clearly the coupon states for the entire purchase the coupon was valid.She proceeded to punch in the code and then acted surprised when it went through. She still had my phone in her hand with Covid 19 happening and a pandemic this is unacceptable! She proceeded to give me the phone after she punched in the code luckily I’m vaccinated but during a time of a global pandemic for somebody to snatch the phone out of my hand because she didn’t believe that the coupon will go through it’s unethical! It’s uncalled for.Once I left the store I proceeded to call corporate office spoke to somebody named Doug who took down the complaint and then hung up on me I called again and spoke to a supervisor who helped me immensely however I will tell you that from this experience my very first experience in the state of Illinois and add the store was absolutely horrible. From now on I will be going to Amazon to purchase anything I need Sally’s you just lost a 15 year customer. I am very disappointed at Sally’s customer service not just at the store but also over the phone customer care is definitely not in their best interest even though they state that they do as much as I had kept repeating myself that I want to return the clippers just not at the store they wouldn’t work with me on that either. As I stated now a 15 year customer will now take my business fully to Amazon.
