“I rely on the Chicago Tool Library more than any other resource in the city! Many of us want to get into DIY, but it is expensive getting all of the tools. Not to mention if you are living in an apartment, like me, there is no place to put everything. Chicago Tool Library has allowed me to practice new skills without draining my money and worrying about space. They are always kind and helpful, while putting community first. I tell everyone to check them out!”
“We are so grateful to have had our wedding at the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association (NCCA)! Woody and his team were wonderful to work with - from first touring the venue to clean-up the morning after. Set in the beautiful neighborhood of Oak Park, the NCCA is surrounded by community parks and historic homes by Frank Loyd Wright. We also had easy access to the local hotel to host our guests overnight. This wedding venue is reasonably priced with true historic charm. The food and beverages were excellent. We held our ceremony/cocktail hour on the first floor and reception on the second floor, comfortably accommodating our guest count of 175 people. Woody is responsive and flexible. He is willing to support creative endeavors to make your wedding feel original. We feel so fortunate to have found the NCCA to host our wedding - we would absolutely recommend it to you!”

“Can't say enough good things about NLOL Chicago! I adopted Teddy from them 8 years ago, and to this day they still keep in touch with me and help me with any questions I might have! They are 100% volunteer run so they don't have an actual shelter facility, just their homes and their hearts. They genuinely enjoy hearing his updates and even seeing him at events over the years!If you have other pets in the home, of course they should be spayed/neutered to adopt another.
