The representative was very pleasant over the phone, but overly focused on getting me to visit the store rather than addressing my initial questions about feasibility. Unfortunately, that kind of approach can deter potential customers, especially when it involves a customer looking to make significant purchases and trying to find a spot that can fulfill most of their needs.

First, I must say that I have been going to Franz Jewelers for decades, albeit for small things - watch batteries, watch bands, etc. and it's always been a good experience. This review concerns my most recent visit.
I purchased a new watch from the web, the case and bracelet both titanium. I brought it in to have some links removed. I could see as it was being worked on in the workshop area that that the handling was less delicate than if I were doing it myself, but I'm not a watchmaker so I defer to their expertise.
When the watch was returned to me it had several noticeable scratches. I pointed this out, saying the watch was brand new, never worn, still enclosed in a protective coating, and didn't have any scratches when I brought it in. Instead of an apology, I was told titanium was a soft metal, prone to scratches, and it would get scratched in the course of wearing it anyway. I said I would have preferred that I have the privilege of putting the first scratches on it myself rather than pay someone to scratch it for me. By way of analogy, if I brought a new car to the dealer to be serviced and they scratched it, I wouldn't expect them to say nothing more than it was going to get scratched sooner or later.
I'm not a watch expert, but if the watch band is that delicate, it would be great to be advised before the repair that it could be damaged, not after the fact when it's too late. No apology, no other concession, just some polish to make the scratches less prominent after I complained. Disappointed, this was not the service model I expected or would return for.

They truly have the best customer service and craftsmanship at Franz. I came in while visiting family (who highly recommended). Franz created a custom ring from my original wedding band and a diamond I had. They designed and used gold and a loose diamond that were meaningful to me . The creation is beautiful. They even gave me a credit for leftover gold. I could not be happier. Even though I live in Colorado, this is the only jeweler I will ever use.

I went to Franz Jewelers to see if they could repair my wife's antique wedding ring. The damage was significant and of course I was worried the repair could damage the ring further. They clearly explained what it would take to do the repair and the timeline. I was extremely pleased with the outcome. They restored the ring to predamage condition. It was perfect. Other jewelers refused to attempted the repair due to the engravings and inlaid stones in the band while fixing the main stone setting but Franz Jewelers reassured me of their experience and delivered high quality work. And the price was not crazy! I highly recommend Franz Jewelers for your repairs.

It was my first time visiting Franz Jewelers as the local jeweler I usually use was on vacation. I needed a watch ban replaced and I had ordered the band previously as this other local jeweler did not have the band in stock. The kind lady at Franz let me know that she did have the band in stock. She graciously took the band I brought with me and noticed that the watch face was gold but the buckle on the replacement band was silver. She offered to replace the bucket with a gold one which impressed me. When she emerged with my watch, I asked what I owed her for replacing the band and bucket. She replied "No charge." Wow! This lady did not know me and still didn't charge me after replacing a buckle and a band which I did not purchase from her. That's amazing and they have me for a grateful customer.

Ok. Been in business for god only knows how long, we'll since 1966 to be exact. My in-laws have been shopping here for as long as my husband has been alive - and I've received Christmas gifts from here many times...they have fine baby silver items for engraving...and fine fine jewelry- engagement rings- wedding bands --watches...Watch batteries.... jewelry fixing - etc...but also, they have a line of animal jewelry where 20% of the sale goes to the local shelter. Uhh yeah...so obviously I had to buy these cute puppy dog sterling silver earrings. Lol. So cute!!
