I was given a gift certificate for this nail salon. I walked in and was immediately disgusted by the filth. The floors, the rugs, the counters- everything about this place was dirty, dirty, dirty. One of the workers was pacing and I wanted to tell her to pick up a broom and start sweeping the floor. Not sure how the health department hasn’t shut this place down. I have to be honest I first thought it was just a dirty rug when I walked in, so I decided to sit down and actually get my nails done. As I sat there and looked around while she did my nails I just became more and more disgusting. It took everything in me to not walk out mid-manicure. They should be ashamed of themselves. I will not be giving this place my business again.

Boo. Rude and incompetent. I had booked an appointment days ago via text as they recommend on their site. Got a confirmation even. Did not have me on their books today for mani/pedi. Did not even apologize or try to accommodate me. Were not speaking English, so I could not understand what they were saying about me. I turned around and walked out. Never.

I decided to give this nail shop another try after 3 years and once again I am disappointed.I have cotton stuck to my fingers and nails, filed shapes are crooked, and nails are overpainted, and dimpling.

I never give any reviews, but you should listen to this: Just started getting my nails done recently after years of not being able to afford it. I don't do artificial nails, just my own with the gel. After about 2 months with this salon, decided to do something different. Went with their "chrome" polish at their suggestion. It totally ruined my natural nails, to where they broke down to the skin, even bleeding. When I went to remove .the polish, it would not come off with acetone, or any other method. Never saw anything like it. I called, they said to come in. They would take care of it. I was so grateful to my tech to get this nail wrecking off, I gave him a $10 tip! Went to leave, they charged me an additonal $10 to remove the damage they did! Not one to give bad reviews, but gave them 2 opportunities to make it right, they had no interest.

I actually feel bad for the ladies of Northbrook, IL. This salon was definitely a disappointment overall. Final product in corresponding pictures. Sloppy, uneven, which makes sense because the lady was rushing me out the door, even though I had an appointment. Wanted design, told me no time. What??!! I have an appointment!! I was in and out in 40 mins, with less than satisfactory results. ?
Pros: good color selection, great at nail shaping, cuticle removal and clean up.
Cons: sloppy job, rushing, no design, poor customer service.
My recommendation: V Nails & Spa in Des Plaines, IL OR Q Nails in Morton Grove, IL

My nails were a mess I finally decided to get a full set of tips with dip. I'm so glad I found La Vie Nails. Tracy did an amazing job on my nails. She shaped them perfectly & has a gentle touch. I'm super picky & could not be more pleased. Found my new Happy Nail Place!

Overall I loved the acrylics I had done, they were even, not thick and the shape that I wanted. Unfortunately, less than 2 weeks after having them they already started lifting. Very frustrating after the amount of money paid for this. And within an hour after writing this review, the acrylic popped off. Absolutely wouldn't recommend this place.
