I truly enjoy coming here to exercise and get motivated even more to be healthy and fit. All staff is kind, friendly. Especially instructors for classes are excellent-experienced and confident, many classes in various levels are offered daily for all members but fill quickly. It has Indoor and huge outdoor swimming pools which will open soon for this summer. Also it is a family friendly place that there are children's activities and classes while parents work out. LIFE Cafe has beverages and helthy food.

Overpriced for their service. Employees without criteria, it change a lot after Covid. There are better options…

I've been a member here for about a year and have overall been very pleased. Primarily attend the Northbrook location. The staff is excellent and cleanliness is clearly a priority. Sauna and hot tub could be kept a little hotter, but that is a personal preference. Hopefully cold baths will be added in the near future.

Clean gym overall. Poorly planned out. Water fountains are few and aren’t easily visible. Free Weight space is small with limited machines. Training area is on the third floor while the daycare area is on the second usually not the case at most LTs. This LT shouldn’t be in this price tier considering small square footage, no cold plunge, no turf area, no boxing/mma area. It’s just feeding off of the demographic and that it’s “newer”.

Lifetime had a “poolpalooza” today. Wow, what a great event! There was a DJ, a hula hoop instructor, popcorn and snow cones…and, wait for it… a mermaid!! My daughter (3 y/o) called her Ariel but her official name was ShellSea (her real name is Chelsea).I haven’t had such a great time on the dozen cruises or yearly resort visits I’ve done.Well done!! Well, done indeed!

My massage with Paz was amazing! So professional, understood body mechanics and how to relieve pain and promote relaxation. I left feeling so much better! Totally knows her stuff! I will definitely go back to see her. Highly recommend

Paz Horowitz is the most amazing massage therapist I have ever been to. She is professional and very talented. I highly recommended visiting her at Lifetime Northbrook!

I witnessed a Kid’s Academy team member talking on the phone extensively while being the only person to care for three infants. This team member was not reported or fired. After 2 years at Lifetime I’ve learned their lack of respect for their employees & the children they care for in the Kid’s Academy is astounding. While Northbrook is putting in a new hack squat & 4 squat racks, they’re also cutting the pay of long term employees & getting rid of instructors for kid’s classes. There are now unqualified & untrained team members trying to teach your kids, and I promise Lifetime does not care about your child’s experience more than they do money in their pockets.

This gym is very clean and has great class instructors. After trying a variety of classes all were very knowledgeable. However for the significant cost per month there are a few things lacking. Class times during the week are very limited during afternoon/early after work hours (i.e. before 5:45 pm). Many of the popular classes are uncomfortably full, even with assigned spots. And considering the large size of the gym, the free weight area of the weight room is pretty small with limited floor space for weights. The weight machines they have are nice, however lacking some popular machines found at less pricy gyms in the area. Overall, seems like a nice, clean club with good weekend workout classes disguised as an expensive gym.

The pictures shown are NOT of the Northbrook location, as it does not offer a basketball court or some of the other amenities features and is more dated.Overall, I like this gym, but the often unfriendly front desk people, the dust bunnies under the equipment, the extremely slow cafe, and the poor behavior of women on their phones while in the hot tub or sauna (They take selfies and turn their music/ videos up so loud you can’t use the time to replace), makes it less desirable.I signed up for the $250/ month club to work out and take use of the amenities, but that usually comes with less than relaxing surroundings. I’d love to see management enforce some of these rules to make the club feel less trashy and more worth the $$

Wonderful facility. Amazing staff. The only con is the men’s locker room. The behavior there is very suspect and the men are wayyyyy too comfortable. It bothers me that I have to see those things when I just want to work out.

The club has gone downhill from the first two years they were open. The front desk is too preoccupied signing up the discounted rate customers to be bothered with anyone else. There are dirty towels all over the aerobic machine area. They do not clean the machines like they used to. It’s so crowded from the free classes in the open areas with obnoxiously loud music. I thought it would be more like an East Bank and less like an LA Fitness. You really dropped the ball on this location Northbrook, it’s too bad. I messaged corporate over the summer regarding the man that works at their outdoor summer cafe and never received a response. I had let them know that my sister in law ordered 1 strawberry margarita and when received a daiquiri was told to “suck the straw a little harder and see”. That was definitely an interesting experience.
