Horrible shop owner couldn’t even figure out what was wrong with my car told me to go take to dealership what a joke ! Don’t come here they don’t know how to work on your car !
This car has been repaired & sold long time ago. I want to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received. The dealership informed me that only the pressure fuel pumps needed replacement, but you listed a multitude of other repairs that, as it turns out, were completely unnecessary. You were attempting to upsell me for no valid reason, which is extremely disappointing.
For someone who should be knowledgeable about German cars, it’s surprising you didn’t know that they don’t come with dipsticks. Regarding the oil change, it’s always been handled by the dealership, which is why I provided you with the maintenance records from them.
It’s one thing if you’re unfamiliar with how to repair an Audi S7, but it’s quite another to exaggerate the issues and recommend excessive repairs. No wonder you struggled to diagnose the actual problem with my car. It’s baffling that while the dealership identified just a few necessary repairs, you claimed there were nearly 20 additional issues. This kind of up charging is unacceptable.
Overall, the experience was incredibly frustrating, especially when you couldn’t even accurately identify what was wrong with my vehicle. Hopefully one day you can be educated enough to learn how to work on cars such as Audi S7 until I suggest you get some help from others when you don’t know to work on a certain make or model thanks.
Updated Review As Of - 12/16/24
Dear Ryan,
It’s interesting that while you claim my 1-star review doesn’t matter, yet you're still engaging with it months later—clearly, on your mind. You accused me of lying, but I have the documentation, including photos and papers from other shops, to back up my claims. You're not the only one with documents ! In fact, I visited six different shops before coming to yours, and none of them mentioned the extensive repairs you suggested.
What’s even more concerning is that you listed over +15 additional repairs that weren’t necessary, especially when all that was required were high-pressure fuel pumps. Which I already knew had to be done ! Why did none of the other shops or even the dealership identify these other issues? Not even one of the issues you suggested like really?
On top of that, your inspection was overcharged, and yet, you & your technician failed to even perform it properly. Instead of focusing on arguing in the comments, over your 1 star lazy performance. Perhaps Ryan you could put the same energy into improving your repair skills and customer service. Maybe you'd learn how to repair an Audi S7 by now knowing that fool that you are. Quite frankly I hope no S7 Owner out there doesn't go to your shop. I don't want them to be told lies & get upcharge for a weak inspection done by MPC Northbrook like how I was treated.
I run seven family-owned businesses since 18 I'm 25 now with over 90 years of combined family experience, and not once have I resorted to petty back-and-forth on reviews like yourself Ryan. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism from your end Ryan. I suggest using this feedback to learn and grow from this experience, rather than doubling down on mistakes. And falsely accusing others for lying. I'm not sure what you have been smoking on.

When I was looking for shops to work on my vehicle MPC came up highly rated and for good reason. I have poised a lot of questions to the team here and they have gone through leaps and bounds to answer my questions. They are also extremely interested in feedback and are very focused on ensuring you're happy with the work and the outcome of the build.
My goal with this build is to have a high-powered sleeper touring car as I road trip all over the US. They worked diligently with me to ensure that my dreams for this build came true. I am extremely happy with the performance of my car and looking forward to continuing to improve on this vehicle. I prefer an OEM+ look and feel to the driving experience and honestly I can't say enough how ecstatic I am to continue working on this vehicle with MPC as a partner. Their guidance and support has tremendous value and they are also some of the nicest experts I've met in the industry.
This is a 2017 Audi A4 2.0T Premium Plus and here are the upgrades currently on the vehicle:
- AEM Performance Air Intake
- CTS Performance Intercooler
- ECS Rear Sway Bar
- APR Stage Plus Performance 91 Octane
- Bilstein B8 Shocks
- H&R Sport Springs
- 034 Rear Adjustable toe arm kit
- OZ Leggera HLT wheels
- ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus Tires
EDIT: After 10K+ miles on the car since the work was completed that car performed incredibly in a cross country road trip across the united states. Incredible team and I'm super excited on the upgrades to come and the years I will have with this car.

MPC is fantastic. This is the third time I have been in for performance mods. They set me up with a place to work in the waiting room, made some coffee for me, and they were able to shift my appointment on the same day due to some personal conflicts. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

***Edited review:***Midwest called me almost immediately after I left a 1 star review. I am upgrading my1 star to a to a 3 star review. Let me be clear, Midwest never worked on my car. ** And it is the goal of this review to motivate Midwest performance to provide estimates over the phone if a customer gives them a part number and a Vin number on a Porsche ********** Midwest could very likely be a phenomenal place to have your car work done. My review is NOT meant to discourage anyone from using Midwest . My review is strictly in regards to multiple phone calls and texts. They are phenomenal at customer service!!! And they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would absolutely give them a five star review based strictly on their phenomenal customer service. But there is one thing that I feel this shop failed me as a potential customer client. And that one thing Was that they would not provide an over the phone estimate. my car was in operable and I already had the problem diagnosed at Porsche exchange. I provided Midwest performance with my bin number, and the part numbers that needed to be replaced and they refused to give me an estimate unless I towed the car to their shop . I made it clear that I was attempting to avoid the hassle of towing my car around to various shops to get estimates And that did not matter, they still needed to see the car to give me an estimate even though I provided them with my Vin number and the part numbers and I told them what the problem was diagnosed by The Porsche Exchange . For the record The Porsche Exchange quote for the work to be done was around 15,000. and only 7000 at all the other Porsche specially shops. I just wanted to make sure that Midwest was more in line with all the other Porsche shops. After I left a one star review Midwest called me and we had a lengthy conversation and during the conversation he said that the estimate would be around 9000 at their shop. Has Ryan just said about 9000 at his shop I likely would’ve towed my car to their shop to have the work done there because it’s the closest to my home. Instead, I spent two days researching all of the other local shops and I found when I love in the work is only about 7000 at the shop. When my engine is dropped, we’re going to replace everything else that can fail. 😊😊😊 alls well that ends well. Midwest is likely a great job and again this review is intended to motivate them to give customers ballpark estimates over the phone and instead of towing their in operable car around to various shops when the problem is known and part numbers are provided. I believe this review is more than reasonable, and is meant to inform the public that Midwest does not currently provide over the phone estimates or didn’t for me and hopefully they WILL do it for future customers because it is a hassle and anxiety inducing to tow your inoperable supercar around just to get estimates.

Efficient, highly communicative, picks up the phone, detailed analysis, great use of tech - you receive texts with specific descriptions of issues with pictures and are given the option to approve or decline service for each item. The price quote is updated each time items are added so there are no surprises. Ryan (owner) is low pressure and helped me understand value and mid run costs associated with vehicle. Specializes in repairing German made luxury autos. This is evident also from the cars inside his shop.

Great customer service and accurate repairs. Tom knew the BMW X5 platform well and took great notes to narrow in on the source of my car’s issue that my other repair shop didn’t want to touch. Good communication through the repair process and they got everything fixed on the first try. Will be back!

Tom and Ryan were very professional and courteous, Tom is also a Volvo head and I knew my car would be cared for with them based on a couple of calls and the reviews. New turbo inlet pipe/intake manifold was completed on time and at the price quoted (almost unheard of now a days). Had my ride dyno'd tonight, 341 hp and 367 torque at 5,500 rpm from a factory 2012 S60 T5 (250 hp/266 torque) with the help of a Rocket chip. I'll be back for all my maintenance needs and new toy's to be installed on it.
Excellent staff and mechanics.

I have worked with MPC on two projects and am WOW'ed by their service!! Very high quality customer, installation and maintenance services! I am by no means a car expert but the MPC team knew how to answer every question I had and even provided expert consult on strategy of improving my vehicle based on my goals. They didn't try to upsell me on anything! You can even text questions and see estimates via your phone! 10/10 recommend!

Tom and Ryan are the best. I was referred by a friend after a really poor experience at the service dept at my dealer.
I immediately felt that they had my best interests in mind. They are highly competent and take the time to share their findings and make recommendations - without any sales pressure at all. This is a rare combination and I’ve grown to trust them over the past year.
It’s so easy to engage with them as they leverage technology to manage appts, billing, updates, etc.
Thank you!
