Best high end department store love the fragrance and cosmetic section, wish carried more variety of designer, handbags but still better options than most stores in the suburbs

I visited Angelika at The Beauty Counter. She is AMAZING!! She did my makeup so fabulously and I would come back to get my makeup done by her for any occasion. All of the shades of eye shadow made me look great. I would definitely recommend her to everyone. She has an amazing taste and style. She makes the store shine with class!

The only helpful person - the sales associate who assisted my daughter and I in purchasing a fall coat (children’s clothing). She was very sweet, and even showed my daughter a few cute hats. If I were only reviewing her, this would be a five star review.After completing the purchase, we went to the skincare and cosmetics department. There was a particular product I was looking for, and none of the associates offered to help. In the past, this has been a non-issue. I stood at three different counters, and no acknowledgment was made. I noticed at least one group of three associates chatting (looking at a cell phone, no less), and another employee paying for her own purchases. But, that was it. Admittedly, a few associates were busy with makeup applications, but, this was (maybe) two of twenty plus employees.I’m not someone who enjoys writing negative reviews, especially regarding a store I used to love shopping at. Customer service is what makes stores like NM great, and people will revert to shopping online if they can’t get help. It’s ridiculous that in a store full of employees, only one went above and beyond.

I was walking through the cosmetics department with no intention of buying anything. Inna Sirkis started talking to me about Maison Francis Kurkdjian. That was pure joy .She told me the history of the designer , where the names are coming from ,why some of them are red and the other white? What does the color of the bottle top means. It lasted maybe 5 minutes and I felt like I was on a trip to Paris. I was walking through the gardens of Versailles in the clouds of beautiful scents. It was an amazing experience, very relaxing, even now when I'm writing these words I still have a smile on my face.She gave me few samples so I can make a decision which one I like the most.It was absolutely amazing All the bottles of perfumes were the same but now I know the difference .Inna Sirkis -remember her name ,ask her for the history lesson, you will enjoy it .

Neiman Marcus has gone way downhill. It is no surprise they are going out of business. Ordered a tie online ($300), came folded up multiple times. Not in a tie box. Ordered again and again some stupid associate throws it in all wrinkled. You don’t have to be intelligent to work at Neiman Marcus, but their associates should have a certain level of common sense to put it in a tie box.

Bought clothes for more than $500, received treatment like sh*t. Just my luck to meet the absolutely rude customer representative around the men section. I originally planned to shop for a gift after clothes shopping, but I canceled this plan and just went to LV store outside of Neiman Marcus instead. Completely different experience than what I had in SF Bay Area Neiman Marcus. Crossing Neiman Marcus as my go to. Such disappointment.

Bought a pair of sunglasses got ripped off they didn't give me all the accessories said they simply couldn't find them inside of Nieman Marcus ( a total flop of an excuse). Nieman Marcus in general is closing down very soon (at least some storesvanyways - i can see it by the "layout" of their stores), - definitely struggling especiallythe Northbrook mall... However, it was my fault I didn't realize until after I purchased the sunglasses and about accessories until I looked online. Also, not only that.... I got them (Valentiono gold sunglasses), for $250 less online than what Neiman Marcus prices were plus I got all the accessories to boot....nuts quacks customer service LOL

I purchased Jo Malone perfume, diffuser, candle, body lotion cost about over $500 and Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris perfume cost about over $300 just 3 days ago and I am regular customer here. However after I tried my new perfume of Maison Francis yesterday and it made me feel so nauseous and triggers my allergies, making me sneeze when i smell it so decided to exchange to different flavor today. There are 5 workers were looking at me, talking to each other and I just feel like I am doing something suspicious or something and they refused to exchange it because it was opened. Only advice they gave me was try to bring it to Nordstrom and tell them it was a gift and you don’t have a receipt so they might can help you. I was shocked. How come I go to Nordstrom and say that horrible lie. Poor policy. I learned that its better to shop at Nordstrom or Bloomingdales.

The sales assistant at Chanel ground floor (one older female and a male )where the jewelries and bags are located were rude and unapproachable. I probably looked like I don't have money but I know I make way more than these sales assistants for sure. I asked for a particular item and they shun you away as if I was bothering them. All they did was chatting...They were not busy and not even one customer around. I wished I took down their name. This kind of very poor customer service need to address to their manager.Better off shop at real Chanel boutique in Chicago!

The service has gotten worse over the years, especially in the beauty and fragrance department. The employees refuse to give you samples of perfumes because they have a garage sale where they get to buy the products that they are allotted to sample out. If they don’t use them they can buy them for themselves and they end up on eBay. Today I went in to check out perfumes, the Jo Malone counter “didn’t have any samples” and when I asked her to make me some she flat out refused two and made half samples of the other two. For the baccarat perfume when I asked, the sales woman said she would make me a sample if bought it. People request samples because everyone’s skin interacts differently with different fragrances. It’s frustrating to have to ask and then get turned down when you’re a paying customer for 20+ years…The employees at shoes and purses are incredibly helpful so this does not apply to all departments.

They have a 30 day return policy and no concessions. Order your luxury items from Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom where anything can be returned after any period of time. Terrible customer service. I have also ordered wine glasses and other home items and boxes were ripped and shredded. A terrible look as these were meant to be gifts.

We are living in 2023 and I'm surprised by the blatant racism that still exists among these sales associates! My sister and I both clearly African American came to visit and shop at your location on 1/27/2023 and it was my birthday! I was ready to spend some cash but as soon as we walked in to the store and made our rounds, especially in the shoe department not once were we greeted or asked if we needed any assistance! The store was not busy and all of the sales associates were standing around doing absolutely nothing and I even walked in front of one with a shoe in hand and she ignored me. This seemed to be the theme in the entire store. Why do you wake up everyday to go work there if you are not willing to assist the customer! It makes no sense! But yet someone of the opposite race came in and they were so eager to assist her! She didn't even buy anything! But here I am ready spend and nothing! But guess what? Your neighbor Louis Vuitton was ready and willing to take my cash! They were excited for me to buy up the store and I had no problem doing so. Neiman's Marcus Africans Americans are here and they are here to stay! Please inform your associates and train them accordingly! I never received such treatment from Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Von Mar, notingNeiman you should be ashamed of yourself
