I always make a note on the order sheet that I receive a copy of my blood work. I am the patient, I choose the laboratory, I pay for the tests, and I can fax it to whatever doctor in my list of doctors I choose. I am entitled to the results. So I always put on their order form that results should be mailed (I have email; they don't email; I don't have a fax) to the patient. I have consistently had problems trying to get them to mail me the results. I have in the past, had to return to the facility to pick up the results. No need for that. I complained to the woman in charge. As an aside, Scott is very good at drawing blood. The place closes at 3:30PM. The regular phlebotomists apparently leave before the 3:30 walk in time ends. That's what I was told.....and I had to dig it out of them as there was a wait when no one was there. This last time I got there around 2:45 and the regulars had apparently already left. I was stuck with someone "from the back". They may be phlebotomists, but they are not the regular ones. I got someone named Leila or something similar. I told her NOT to dig. Several times. I never screamed at anyone to take the needle out, but when she began shoving the needle in and out of my arm like it was a liposuction, I screamed "Take that needle out!!". I have never had to do that in 60 years! She took blood from my hand instead. I complained to the same woman in charge and she again apologized and said that such comments help her make sure things are done properly. Yet I keep making the same complaints. I complained about the blood draw and told her I had trouble getting the results sent to me. I told her I was done. Never coming back. She assured me getting the results would not be a problem. However, I stillI had not received the results and I called to say so. I also gave her the name and fax number of my nephrologist at Mayo's Clinic who said he wanted the results as well. She said she would fax it to him and make sure I was was mailed the results. 2 days later, Mayo's called me about an issue and I asked them about the fax. They said they never received the fax. A week later, I still hadn't received the results. There are several blood labs in the Northbrook/Glenview/Deerfield area. I would avoid this one. What good is having blood work done if you cannot be sure the results will reach your doctor? I'm DONE.

I have to agree that my experience here was really easy. In and out, the staff was nice, no issues. I've actually had some less than favorable experience at other labs where it is super crowded and you have to wait around forever until it's your turn. Not here....thank goodness, in a way, that the labs in my doctor's facility were not "in network" for my medical insurance plan. They referred me here and it worked out so well. It literally was a 5 minute stop (in and out) on my way home! This will be my "go to" lab from now on!

We went here to get some lab work done for both pregnancies. Staff was quick, procedures were painless, results were fast, and billing was easy. Parking was a bit of a mess, so we just double parked in their lot. Oh well. Still totally worth going to, and a lot cheaper than getting lab tests done at the doctor's office.
