Love this place. Furniture is an investment, so you want to trust the people with whom you work. I found the PERFECT chair at the outlet, at a competitive price. Sent a message on Monday, got an answer on Monday. Ordered it Tuesday, and it arrived at our house, 500 miles away on Thursday. Perfect communication every step of the way. OfficeDesigns is the very FIRST place I’ll check for all my future furniture purchases. Thanks All! (And shout-out to Randy for answering my queries)

I came to this site looking for a specific chair and decided to try the chat button—low and behold, it wasn't a bot but an incredibly knowledgable rep! It often seems rare to find a salesperson who really knows their products, but Jamie A (I believe that was his name) really knew his stuff! After asking what I needed and wanted out of a chair (long days, small NYC apartment, visually not too office-y, price point), Jamie convinced me to buy the World One Chair by Humanscale, a slightly cheaper chair than the one I was looking at. He also helped me time out the delivery, so the chair arrived after I moved, which was a huge plus. Talk to the reps; they are real humans who know what they are talking about!

Terrible experience trying to get warranty service on a defective Steelcase Gesture chair purchased from Office Designs. All they do is direct you to fill out a form that goes into a black hole waiting for them to open a claim with Steelcase. Weeks go by with no response, when you call to follow up they say they're just adding notes to their ticket for their warranty team to follow up with Steelcase. They're friendly and responsive in taking your order and money but it stops there.

I had a great experience talking with Jamie at Office Designs about what kind of chair I needed. He let me know that the Northbrook store is closed right now due to COVID-19, but after talking through different chair options he recommended the Herman Miller Aeron. I'm right between the B and C sizes for the chair (180lbs, 5'11") and he recommended the Size C, fully adjustable. I would recommend Office Designs to anyone in the Chicagoland area or suburbs who wants a good customer experience and someone that is knowledgeable about what chair is best for them.

Horrible responsiveness to warranty request. No sense of urgency, only excuses about delays and passing the buck. Will not order from again. Very expensive office chair with broken height adjustment at just over a year and now awful support. Do not recommend.

I bought a new Herman Miller Aeron. The packaging was broken and not packed properly and chair seems defective. The controls to adjust do not work. Very disappointed.

i decided to buy a Herman Miller Aeron Chair from them. The char came out to $1168.75 after i customized it. Another site, Smartfurniture.com , had the same exact chair for almost exactly the same price. I had talked to Smartfurniture.com and they said they would give me 15% off as i was a repeat customer. I decided to talk to officedesigns.com to see if they can match the discount and the sales agent i was chatting with , named Jimon (
[email protected] ) said yes ( i gave him the chair name and the price that officedesigns.com was telling me, $1168.75 to make there was no confusion ) . He said put the order in and give him the order # and he will then apply the 15% off and send me revised statement afer i buy it. I did all of that and then later when i asked him to give me the refund he said that the chair was on sale already and 15% was applied already and he cant. He after i placed the order said that i was lying and that Smartfurniture.com doesn't offer 15% off and that they own smarfurniture.com which i dont really believe. He refused to give me the 15% refund and said he will cancel my order and not give me the 175$ refund which is the 15% he had agreed. He said the best he can do it 75$, not the 175$ he had promised. i Will never be doing business with them. On top of that, the chair will only ship it out in about 4-5 weeks. Seems like they dont even have it in inventory. This company doesnt respect customers, is very dishonest and doesn't really care about customer service. Avoid them.They see that cause of the Corona virus, many people have to work from home now and might need a good office chair , so they increase the price and just want to make alot of money when many people are suffering financially cause of the non essential business shutdowns mandated as result of the virus. Buy directly from Herman Miller instead or some other place.

I ordered an office chair from Office Designs (over many other researched businesses) in the beginning of September (9/9/2019). They offered shipping within three days. I still have not received the chair. I am most disappointed by Jimon Hill's communication. I was confused to be copied on an email exchange between him and another employee after completing my order. I emailed back to find out the chair was not in-stock, and would not be for a while. While a minimal fraction of the cost was refunded (after reaching out multiple times) there was little to no communication. The two most recent emails I received are other good examples- from a sentence telling me the chair should arrive on 10/4, to responding to my email, today, with "delivery date: 10/18/2019" and nothing else (not to mention the date, 10/18, is quite a ways past 10/4). I would shop elsewhere, especially if you're looking for customer service/communication.

I purchased an Aeron desk chair from the company Office Designs took over ten years ago and they honored the original warranty without any hesitation when it broke down recently. Their customer service is quick to respond and courteous (such as e-mailing instead of calling during early hours) and every question I had was returned within the day. If you're looking for an Aeron desk chair, with a good warranty and at a decent price, this is the place to shop.

I purchased a brand new, fully loaded Herman Miller Aeron Remastered Chair online from Office Designs. I contacted Office Designs and communicated with Jimon Hill through the online chat feature. Jimon matched the price of another Authorized Dealer, but instead of waiting weeks for the chair, Jimon made sure the chair was shipped the same day.
