I bought a trigger from them, and they shipped two triggers to me. I did the right thing and told them that, but made it clear I need them to get UPS to come pick it up instead of me driving over to UPS to ship it, since it isn't really my mistake and I don't want to spend any effort on the return. They didn't respond back, then changed my invoice and added the trigger I didn't order, and raised the price on it, so now I have a overdue bill.

I found Optics Planet through a highly skilled firearm's expert, although this is a distributor and not a manufacturer they completely understand quality optics and a host of other products and their customer service is exceptional starting with the accurate description of their products and the way communicate throughout the entire process including after the sale. I was looking for a quality "green dot" sight I know most want the "red dot" sights and although the later seems to be the most popular I easily justified my preference based on my application. I chose the Holosun Elite Micro 1x20mm, 2MOA Dot / 65 MOA Circle Green Dot Sight although there are many options on the market the frequency of and price was definitely a part of my decision tree. This giant retailer has a lot of inventory which mean fast shipping and it's free as are returns if you miss. I am extremely happy with my purchase and have my eye on a number of other products after exploring their online store. Just in case you're wondering why I chose green vs red: Due to the wavelength of the color green, green dot sights can get far brighter with less effort than their red counterparts. As humans, our eyes will also notice green easier than red, making it seem even more luminous than it is. The light waves from a green dot sight will not flood your eye's cones like those from a red dot, and as such will distort significantly less than a red dot sight. If you worry about the strain on your eyes, a green dot sight might be the right option for your gun too. Green Dot Sight are a little more expensive but for the price I felt was justified, I'll actually get more visibility than if I spent the same price or more for a red dot sight, so in my opinion the value-added benefits made this an easy choice...

The absolute worst online purchase experience I’ve ever had.Order placed 9/2/23 for 2 Romeo4XT-PRO red dot sights and I only received 1 on 9/8/23.The package was a bubble lined bag and not a properly packaged shipping box. I took pictures of this package before and after opening it because of the poor packaging. There was only 1 sight inside the bag and there was damage to all corners of the Sig Sauer box. There wasn't even room for the second sight inside this bag. I returned the only sight I received back to Optics Planet in the same bubble lined bag for a full refund for both sights on the same day. Optics Planet received the returned package on 9/11/23 and I did not receive my refund. I called customer service numerous times the following day and finally got through to a representative. The customer service representative only issued me a refund for one of the sights and inquired with a supervisor on issuing me my full amount. The supervisor required me to complete a Carrier Claim Form to be refunded my full amount. I completed and submitted the form, sent OP numerous pictures proving I did not receive the second sight, and I am still owed over five hundred dollars to be refunded to my PayPal account. After numerous emails to OP without receiving my full refund, I was forced to file a case in the resolution center with PayPal on 9/18/23. I am still waiting for my full refund. This has been a massive inconvenience to me and I am especially disappointed in the way this situation has been handled thus far. I wish I would have reviewed the Better Business Bureau (BBB) profile of this company before doing business with them.

Ordered an in stock item. After purchasing, it showed a 21 day processing time, not including time to ship to me with slow shipping. Unacceptable for a large modern company. Who wants to wait a month for an item!?!? Cancelled my item after attempting to call twice with no customer service after 30 minute wait times. Switched over to MidwayUSA. Paid more for my item, but it came in 4 days. Totally worth it to not shop here. Don’t make my same mistake.

I'd give zero stars if I could. Takes 3 days for them to think about shipping and the cheapest shipping charge is 20.00 and takes forever. I could have doordash something from them cheaper. No wonder Amazon is so successful. Ordered something from Amazon late one night. At my house before noon the next day. They rip people off with shipping. Nothing costs as much as they charge you to ship then take a week to arrive.

This place has terrible customer service. One excuse after another then back to the first excuse. They're located one hour from me yet I have been waiting three weeks for an item they had in stock. Too many other good retailers to put up with this, place your order elsewhere!**Update** live chat just spits out the same bogus excuse. This place is a joke! If you're going to hold orders based on the stupid "pica" law, then customers should be notified when placing their order!! Read the law, a non-pistol grip rifle stock with a non-detachable blind magazine is not prohibited. I suspect this is a stalling tactic to encourage me to cancel the order because it was mistakenly over discounted and/or over sold.

While waiting for my first order from OpticsPlanet, I got a little worried reading some of the bad reviews, but after now receiving 2 separate orders from them, I am confident this is a great place to buy a scope, red dot, or anything else. Keep in mind that if something goes wrong - people will want to do a negative review, but if all goes well - a lot of happy folks just move on and forget to write one. Again I feel bad for anyone who gets a lemon product, delayed shipment, or loss but I'm guessing the majority of orders shipped from OpticsPlanet arrive in perfect order.

I ordered a product that initially showed as in-stock. Shortly after placing the order in mid-May 2023, OpticsPlanet emailed that it was not in-stock and estimated ship date would be 5-7 weeks - okay, mid-late June. Then July 1, OpticsPlanet emailed that new estimated ship date would be July 9. On July 8, OpticsPlanet emailed that new estimated ship date would be July 19. On July 15, OpticsPlanet emailed that new estimated ship date would be July 26 - you get the picture, this went on every week until the last notification said October 7 and I cancelled the order today. I also called OpticsPlanet in late-July and spoke with a customer service rep but there was no ETA from their vendor and the rep offered no options except to cancel the order. I contacted their vendor to encourage they fill the OP order, something the OpticsPlanet team should be doing. Not the best experience with this order...

This company always advertises things as being in stock, but when it comes time to ship things they tell you they can't fulfill the order for one reason or another. This is the third time for me, except this time I could have ordered the same item for the sale price but was waiting on my order from OpticsPlanet. Of course, by the time everyone else's sale had ended OpticsPlanets sent me their usual excuse saying they couldn't fulfill the order, so I ended up paying $30 extra because of them, since the other vendors no longer were running the sale. I will never order anything from them under any circumstances, and I would advise other consumers to avoid them like the plague. This is a border-line scam that seems to be a reseller type scheme.

I would give them 5 stars but they insist on using DHL for "free" shipping. DHL shipping is horrible and sloooowww. Ordered on the 19th and is just now in the shipment process. Checked the DHL website and it's (somewhere) in the middle of the shipping journey. You're better off paying a few $ more and ordering on Amazon. I needed my products for a US Veteran event this coming weekend but that's obviously not going to work out.

I'm fairly new to ordering from OpticsPlanet. I have only placed three orders with them so far, all for ammunition. I have only ordered items that were listed as in stock. So far I have had a good experience with them. My first two orders shipped out the next day. The 3rd took a little bit longer to ship out but did ship out within 3-4 business days. So far I have not had a problem. Will be looking to place more orders with OpticsPlanet in the very near future.

I've ordered several items from this retailer. Prices are good and the selection of products is very good. I will note that items are not always in stock when they might appear to be. I think this system is a little misleading and would prefer to see better info related to product availability. When your order does ship the package usually arrives quickly and well packed.

They are dishonorable.I bought what i thought was a daniel defense RIS 2 rail. The package that came was legit for a daniel defense RIS 2 rail. The product inside, however, was Airsoft.Because the gunsmith tried to install the barrel/barrel nut, Optics Planet concluded for themselves that the rail had been installed, and therefore their policy was that i could not return the item. They also implied the gunsmith may have theoretically swapped rails. (Talk about projecting their own smarmy behavior).Furthermore, the act of threading on the airsoft barrel nut damaged my FN upper.Don't invite this nightmare upon yourself. To clarify: the rail was never put on because the barrel nut on which the rail attaches was improper for a firearm. Nothing on the barrel nut indicated it was airsoft. The act of tightening the barrel nut damaged the receiver. The fact the rail was airsoft was discovered afterwards, upon investigation of why the barrel nut was the wrong fit (and after it damaged the upper). So no, the rail was never installed, Breanne (supervisor at Optis Planet who summarily dismissed my grievance). In fact, my theory is someone ordered the part, swapped out an airsoft for the genuine rail, returned it, and it was not checked by Optics Planet return department. And then they let me just eat the fraud. But regardless whether they knew, or were incompetent, they sold me a fake bill of goods. What they advertised and what they sold me were not the same, and they are hiding behind an "installed product" policy thinking it trumps consumer protection laws.FIX THIS and recompense my damaged upper, Optics Planet!!

Website will show "in stock" but I suspect theyre just waiting on backorders. Some of my items shipped, the others "shipped" a week later so they could not cancel the order. USPS shows the package was never given to them, OP claims it was lost. So it was never scanned, missed every subsequent scan, and somehow got lost? I've never had a package get lost when it says its never been picked up. Since it was "shipped" they refused to cancel the order. Just admit youre a scummy company waiting for your own shipments before fulfilling your orders. You never sent the item. Chargeback with my CC company filed.
