We are living in 2023 and I'm surprised by the blatant racism that still exists among these sales associates! My sister and I both clearly African American came to visit and shop at your location on 1/27/2023 and it was my birthday! I was ready to spend some cash but as soon as we walked in to the store and made our rounds, especially in the shoe department not once were we greeted or asked if we needed any assistance! The store was not busy and all of the sales associates were standing around doing absolutely nothing and I even walked in front of one with a shoe in hand and she ignored me. This seemed to be the theme in the entire store. Why do you wake up everyday to go work there if you are not willing to assist the customer! It makes no sense! But yet someone of the opposite race came in and they were so eager to assist her! She didn't even buy anything! But here I am ready spend and nothing! But guess what? Your neighbor Louis Vuitton was ready and willing to take my cash! They were excited for me to buy up the store and I had no problem doing so. Neiman's Marcus Africans Americans are here and they are here to stay! Please inform your associates and train them accordingly! I never received such treatment from Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Von Mar, noting Neiman you should be ashamed of yourself

The waitstaff here was kind and friendly. The front of house seemed like sitting us was annoying however. The food came out quickly and our waiter was prompt about asking us for what we wanted. The food was very good and there was plenty for leftovers for sure. I’ll be coming back here, I would suggest trying out the orange chicken here!

I am honestly and continuously blown away by how sour and unfriendly overall the staff here is. During COVID I've been buying online and returning in store. The people who work at the return counter are just downright not nice. I have never had an associate smile or be friendly. It's like they hate their job and it shows. It's so odd. Also I was at the makeup counter and the woman at Sisley was so absolutely rude I just turned around and walked out. At these prices, are smiles and thank you's not included? Update: they sent me an update to send them am email "if they can be of further assistance". Not sure what that would be. A generic reply. Not surprised at the benign reply. Sigh. It is what it is at NM Northbrook.

I would never come the this location ever again, the mens department is trashy and old. I read the comments and its exactly whatever one says about this location. They have no one in a younger generation at the store. I asked for the guy Jae I read in the comments they said he left and went to Saks and no one with a young sense of style was available to help me. This store is terrible. I suggest Neiman to just close this location and make oakbrook bigger. this was a waste of driver and so much time. People have a nasty attitude like their not in the serving business. It doesn't make any since!

Omg, theirs this handsome Neiman Rep Jae in the men's department who assist my two boys with there New Year's Eve outfits from head to toe. Outfit selection were amazing! Exactly what they wanted. He completely amazing, wonderful and also sweet.

For the bad experience and a few bad apples employees for ruining it was one star before, but I did come back. When you carry a high price tag, no customer should be disrespected. I was not greeted but told "Do not touch" when reaching for foundations to try to see what color suits my skin. The woman putting make up on others was using Bobby Brown shadow palette. I was dismissed. I thought maybe due to Covid they don't let you try some shades. But no. There were other customers, two mothers with young ladies, and another couple that came by who were treated differently. They were touching the shadows and other products and were not even told to stop. There was another employee who did help bringing samples, but I got an impression I have to decide on the spot or I am taking their time. Every customer should feel like they belong there to shop. Treat everyone with respect if they are buying or not. Don't look them down. You are working at the counter. Like someone mentioned below they make people feel not worthy of their time. Their behavior screams discrimination and profiling. There are some nice employees. But you never know what your experience will be depending who's helping you or should I say not helping you. Two days later-- I had totally a different experience. The person who was dismissive helped me out the most today. She has a good eye for things. I will be back. Today, I didn't feel so much out of place. I purchased today and got free samples to try. However, another coworker came by to look inside my bag when I was checking out. It might be one of the three things: 1) Making sure the employee didn't drop there anything that I didn't paid for. 2) Or making sure I didn't take anything 3) Or profiling to see how much do I spend there on cosmetics or what I like.

This store is the worst ever the managers are rude they treat you like homeless when you look better then them... I made a purchase and then i canceled that the same day and they fraud my account they still charge me this amount I need to dispute it because of one guy who works over there who did not cancel that amount of money this is ridiculous!

Linda is the store manager and the service is horrible from the tone at the top. No one will help you but look you up and down as you walk by. You'll also get Michael to lie and say he's the store manager because Linda doesn't want to do her job. DON'T shop Northbrook Court NM it's a total dump with horrible management that lies! Go to Nordstom.

Majority of staff are very nice and helpful! However I mostly stop by at the Chanel. As someone who believes in investing in quality I go often to do my research on my first Chanel bag. There are two main employees I think work there. One is Cecil who is the most warmest, genuine, and helpful person. He doesn't mind that I stop in, ask different questions, try the bags on without purchase. I have purchased two Chanel pieces because of his patience and understanding I like to think things through. When I first met him he introduced himself and was so down to earth. The other employee never has introduced herself and I can tell I bother her with the times I come in and Cecil isn't there. I currently have stopped by to check if they got new card holders in and before I could even step foot into the actual Chanel store she replied "No and we probably won't get them for a while so you don't need to check so often." It deterred me from going in there again. I visit that store because I work in the same mall and Chanel in Chicago is just crazy. Cecil's excellent customer service and honestly just being a kind human being made me feel better, less pressured to buy,or feel judged for not purchasing anything. But I will not be stopping there anymore as someone's terrible people skills truly made me feel not worthy. I will just talk to a sales advisor from Chanel over the phone and make a purchase in the Chanel store from now on.

I kind of miss the days when this was my go to store. Frankly, my needs have changed, and not just because of the pesky little pandemic. If you find that you still need stylish clothes and marvelous make-up this is the place to find it all and more. They still have the grandest selection of high end everything from lingerie to outerwear, from baubles to handbags, from housewares to nosh, for babies, kids, men, and women. Who wouldn't want a gift in a NM bag? Gone, for me, are the days of browsing the luxurious offerings. Nowadays, I visit when I need something specific and always a perusal through giftware to see what serving pieces I can find on sale. So, yesterday I got what I needed at an outstanding sale price (woo hoo!) and found a set of serving pieces also at a deep discount. Like most every other place, service is not quite the same as it was back in the day but I do think they try harder.
