On July 2, 2025 I stopped by relax the back Northbrook Illinois. I am a retired, disabled veteran construction worker also and I desperately needed a very good recliner with massage if possible in order to sleep at night. Becky, the store manager help me pick the Gravis Recliner which has a massage feature that perfectly fit the package for what I needed. Relax the back had a Fourth of July sale that was phenomenal 15% off and I could not pass up and I instantly bought the chair. You can see in my receipt the 15% taken off. It took over three weeks for Me to get my recliner at my house delivered. I am a master electrician, construction worker, and I saw them put the chair together with all the cables and they did a perfect job.
Relax the back started by accidentally ringing me up for the wrong chair the Hale Premier Zero Gravity. I noticed when I got home and called back. For the Gravis Recliner that is a higher model they charged me the difference to correct their mistake.
Unfortunately, just over two weeks later, the massage feature broke down and just flat out would not work.
I returned to Becky, the store manager and demanded a full refund to which she said that she must charge me a $250 restock fee. I demanded no to the $250 restock fee and told her I must have another separate chair to replace it different in order to sleep at night. Because I was re-ordering another chair she said that she would waive the $250 restock fee. On the receipt for the new chair, she said that she would give me the Labor Day weekend sale on top of the price that I was paying, and she would charge me on the day that my chair is delivered. The new chair is the Laveo zero gravity with lift assist.
I got a phone call that the new chair has arrived for delivery and spoke to Becky that I want My Labor Day sale applied to the receipt like she promised. Becky reneged on her promise and said she will not give me the sale even though I had a phenomenal sale 15% off on the Fourth of July and a new chair is to replace a chair that electronically died on the massage feature of the chair that suddenly would not work. Becky explained to me because of the Trump tariffs The price of the chair went up and she cannot give me the 15% off sale that I got back 4th of July nor Labor day sale as well. I Told Becky that she promised, as well as that the new chair was to replace a chair that I bought on sale 15% off on the Fourth of July. Becky said that regardless that she promised, she’s not going to give me The sale price and forced me to pay full retail that I’m paying regardless that I bought the first chair on the Fourth of July sale And that the new chair is to replace the chair that would not work that I bought on sale.
I desperately need the chair because of my pain, but I am 100% completely dissatisfied with Becky and relax the back Northbrook Illinois. Becky, the store manager does not keep her promise to give me the sale because I bought the first chair on the Fourth of July sale. Becky is forcing me to pay full price for the second chair. According to Becky they raised the price $500 (Trump tariif) and will give you $400 off for Labor day. I was supposed to get a sale OFF MY ORIGINAL PRICE FROM JULY 2nd and never did!!
Relax the Back zero gravity Recliners with massage feature are unreliable and Relax the Back Northbrook will NOT HONOR THEIR PROMISES to replace a faulty chair along with the sale you got with that chair and that came from Becky the store manager!

I was looking for some pillows that were healthy for my neck and back, and the gentleman in the store was so helpful and kind. Needless to say I bought two brand new pillows and cannot wait to get them since they were back ordered.

Relax the back has the most advanced items to help your spinal health, sleep, and overall health. I got excellent customer service when I visited the store in Northbrook to get a special pillow to support my neck and for better sleep. Becky Polihronis, the Asst Store Manager spent a lot time with me to find the best pillow to support my neck during sleep. It is working well. She was very knowledgable and asked a lot of questions to understand my needs. I highly recommend the Northbrook store of Relax The Back.

Becky was super helpful at this relax the back door. I went in to the store with my old pillows and she saw that my spine was out of line which was most likely causing my headaches.
