⚠️ Avoid this company! I normally never leave negative reviews, but this time I just couldn’t stay silent.
The price on their own website was clearly $100 per unit, but they unilaterally raised it to $218.
When I asked them to honor the listed price, they started giving me absurd conditions — saying I’d have to move to another unit (the same size!) and open a brand-new account just to get the price they publicly advertise. What???
This is completely unprofessional and shows zero respect for loyal customers. I’ve been with them for a long time, and instead of honoring their own pricing, they try to complicate things and push higher rates.

Moving can be stressful, especially when there's a delay moving into the new place and you have store ALL your stuff. The manager made everything simpler. Madalyn was able to find more space when I needed it and she was calm and efficient, which really helped.

I’ve never used a storage facility but this one was very close to our home. And brilliant marketing too. One free month rental after you pay for first month PLUS the free use of a U Haul truck for 3 hours!Finally the manager Madalyn Mendoza was professional and explained all procedures clearly to me. Showed me my Lock Up storage and we changed locations until perfect. I give her 5 stars for service.

I don’t recommend Lock-Up in Northbrook. Lock-Up is a scam. Get you in at a decent rate then jack up prices. Our rates have gone up 50% in a couple of years. Clearly there is inflation, but not 50%. It is an outside facility with no climate control, so inflation has little impact on the cost of maintaining the units. Plus they raise rates in October. People in Chicago don’t move out in the winter. They know you are stuck until the Spring. Buyer Beware.

Great self storage facility. Location is great. Staff is on-site and friendly. I am very happy to use the facility for storage and parking.

I have been using Lock Up Storage services for three years. Best experience so far with this type of company. Pleasant people working in the office and management that should not be changed. A warm recommendation for all potential customers and 5 stars for the company. Keep being the best.

On-site manager (Melody) was very efficient and helpful with the startup. She even drove back on her golf cart to make sure I knew the new parking spot and entry/exit routes (storing a boat w trailer).
