This TJ Maxx has the worst customer service in the area

We've got a T.J. MAXX near our home in Southern California. So naturally, my wife needed to go to T.j Maxx while we're visiting Chicago.
The Chicago Maxx is large and filled with lots of well priced merchandise. A gigantic ADA parking lot and ADA bathrooms.
Check out is done from a long line. Along the way there's lots of easy to grab merchandise, so while you're spending time in the line, you might as well continue shopping. However, be careful. The candy and treats look awesome.

Cashier Gaby had the worst customer service, attention detail and poor listening skills. Gaby charged me for items that weren't even mine. Luckily, I looked at my receipt to notice none of my items were scanned. She refunded me the amount that I was charged and rescanned my items. I was charged twice and informed I would not see a refund until 5 business days. I told her this experience was not a good one because she was not paying attention to what she was doing. Upon leaving I spoke with the manager Edwin to put it on his radar and he could not explain as to why she charged me for items that I don't have. He tried to reassure me that it would cancel out and I could see my refund a lot sooner. However, I'm almost sure that is not how it works I was charged for items that weren't mine and then double charged for the correct items.

This is one of the best TJ Maxx stores that I have visited. It is clean, and well stocked. I particularly appreciate the size of the runway section... much to chose from as compared to other TJ Maxx stores where I have shopped.

I try not to write mean reviews but this was my first visit to this TJ Maxx and I was actually upset by my checkout experience. I found a skirt that had no price tag. I asked the lady if she could check the price if it wasn’t too much trouble. She said it was part of a set and I told her I didn’t see a matching shirt. The store manager, Carla A, was to her left. She turned to Carla and explained that I’m interested in purchasing (etc etc) and no joke - in the middle of her talking, the manager literally turned her head to the opposite direction and completely ignored the woman who was checking me out. (I didn’t catch her name but she was very kind). Carla was checking someone out so I thought maybe she didn’t want to respond until after her transaction was complete, but when she was done she just moved on to the next customer in line. She wouldn’t make eye contact with me or the woman helping me. You could see on her face that it was personal. Something between her and the other employee. It was just so rude. I can’t imagine the working environment here - I’m sure it’s toxic.
