I purchased dry carpet cleaner on Feb.13 2025 from your store on Little Rd Newport Richey Fla. Arriving home I noticed I was overcharged so I went the next day. to get a refund told me since there wasn't a manager in the store I couldn't get a refund. How does a manager leave the store with no one able to act in his capacity. Unheard of and completely wrong.
I go back and your manager will not give me my refund because he had to check the cameras .What crock!!!! Your cashier's made and error and this supposed manager refused.

Your clearance sales are an absolute 100% true email scam. I spent a half hour choosing 17 items from your latest "EXTRA" scam email, submitted the order and the next day I saw on my credit card account you cancelled! I contacted ACE customer service and was told it was a "Glitch" on ACE? Of course when I tried to purchase the products again, they were all "unavailable". Total scam that will be reported to my state's Attorney General office

Poor customer service. Tried to call about a poor experience twice and was hung up both times while trying to explain to the person what happened. Will activity look elsewhere for my next purchases

Drove 40 miles for an in stock item. They didn't have it. Then ordered same item online to have them cancel it. Called customer service to be told they don't have any of the item on sale in stock at any locations. Complete scam! Drove 80 miles for nothing! Wasted time online for nothing! Never again ACE never again.

I bought some plumbing fixtures on Friday-a young guy checked me out. I got the wrong size and went back monday-the same guy was there and said no I could not return them without receipt. I asked him couldn't I just get something else
He said no. I am 72 1/2 years old. Give me a break. Never shop at Autrys Ace Hardware again. A bunch of snobs

Edit 10/28/24: The store manager reached out directly, apologized for the inconvenience, provided clarity, and rectified the situation.
Absolutely unacceptable customer service experience at this location... on 10/22/24 at the Ace Hardware Greentree location (1079 Greentree Rd. Pittsburgh, PA). I placed an online order around 7pm. I waited for my confirmation email that my order was ready for pickup before leaving my house as I had roughly a 30-35 minute drive in. This store closes at 8pm. Much to my dismay, I arrive at 7:41 to see a handwritten note on the door stating "Closed, we are closed at 7:30 pm on 10/22/24 closed." I saw employees inside laughing/joking around. I knocked on the door. A man approached and I explained that I had an order to pick up and he inconsiderately just pointed to the closed sign on the door without saying a word. I explained to him I had driven 30 mins to pick up my order which was already paid for and that I was there before the store closing time of 8pm. He replied "you'll just have to come back tomorrow." I explained that I couldn't come back tomorrow, to which this employee smugly pointed at the handwritten closed sign on the door again and said "oh well, too bad." The man who I'm told is named Matt F. (Shorter, ponytail, brown hair, no glasses) was the individual I had this unfortunate encounter with.
I was offered no verbal explanation for the store closure or apology for the inconvenience of having to drive 1 hour back and forth for a simple pick up during standard hours. The handwritten note on the door also did not state the reason for early closure. I am absolutely appalled at this employees disrespectful attitude and lack of understanding/common courtesy. From a management perspective, I would not tolerate this behavior, and would promptly reprimand this employee.
I will not be returning to Ace Hardware (which i frequent) based upon this experience and will gladly take my business elsewhere. I will also be sure to relay my experience to others any chance I get.
A note to Ace Hardware corporate. I respectfully request that you please action this formal complaint.

There was a buy one get one free tag under the medicated chicken feed that I bought. They would not honer the tag that was hanging up.

The representative I spoke with was extremely negative, combative and not customer friendly. She willfully chose not to be very helpful and left me with a negative impression of company. So much so that I that I am thinking to return all current items purchased and no longer shop with Ace.

Updating to 5 stars because of the professionalism and care from a customer service rep named Xavier. I contacted customer service again on Friday (9/13). The gentlemen I connected with was awesome. He researched my situation and worked to provide me with the sale price. I now have a new traeger 885 grill and happy it all worked out. Shout out to Georgetown TX Ace Hardware as well. They were helpful and expedient in getting my order.
Last weekend Ace advertised a traeger 885 ironwood on sale for basically 200 off. I attempted to by the grill , along with multiple other items for the grill for 3 consecutive days (Sunday through Wednesday) but the ace com site checkout via my mobile device using chrome as well as the app would not work. I even have a screenshot of the error as I tried to retrieve my cart, with the sale price listed. I called customer service and the problem was miraculously fixed a couple hours later but now the sale is off. I asked ace if they would honor the sale price since I couldn't order due to their cart not working. I spoke with Ace store in Austin (research Blvd) they just flat refused, the manager would rather have no sale than honor a 1 day expired sale. I've opened 2 customer service tickets and have been basically told this was my fault. I didn't do this or that with my phone etc etc . I've been in IT for 40 years and yes I did all of those things way before I called to report YOUR issue to you.
Bottom line.. Your site didn't work to allow me to purchase at sale price as you advertised. Your customer service (opened two tickets) but I guess maybe you ticket tracking systems works as well as the app does. I believe your slogan is something about a friendly hardware place .. not so much.

I used my birthday coupon of $10.00 at Hastings Ace Hardware in Michigan, where I have bought numerous items annually, to purchase a number of products for a sink installation. I told the " helpful hardware man " that the clips were probably wrong that he had in stock. They were and I was near the Dorr Ace so I stopped in and bought the right clips they had in stock. I returned the clips to Hastings and they took my birthday money back by deeply discounting my return which was still in the original blister pack. They wouldn't give me a store credit. What a birthday gift!!!

Today I happened to buy many items so I can use $20 out of $100 dollars purchase. I made over 117 dollars purchase to be eligible for $20 coupon to get a discount. The cashier clerk pulled out one item that was on sale with $2.00 off price that made it under 98 dollars. I was surprised about the ridiculous store policy prevented me to use $20 if I buy over 100 dollars products. That is unheard of this policy in practice. I ended returning some items and reduced to buy a fewer items to use $5 coupon off. I do not think I want to do business in your ACE hardware if you are becoming so stingy with every penny like I save $2 on one item; I cannot use $20 off for many other items. It is getting ridiculously silly to do this kind of transactions when I am a regular customer at your store for many years. Because of this, I protest and stop doing the business in your store. I will post on my Facebook to alert other customers how stingy your store has became over $2 discount on one item. I cannot take advantage of using $20 discount if purchasing over 118 dollars. Forget it! I move to do business elsewhere and warn others about this ridiculous policy about ONE item on sale for only $2. I was forced to buy more things to qualify for $20 when I was able to use $20 if it is over $118. That is stupid idea of treating customers unfairly. You lost a loyal customer now given the history of my transactions to give your store great business. It is now gone.
