This was my very first time walking into an Allen Edmond store to buy my very first pair of fifth avenues and I gotta say this man Sam really sold this place out to me. Not only was he knowledgeable but also was very friendly and even after pulling out 4 different sizes and had to laced every single one of them he still kept that great attitude, he just made sure I walked out of there with the right fit , makes every penny spent worth it. Really made a great first time experience for this place and will definitely come back.

Even though they didn't have the right size in store. Michael Licata was very friendly and knowledgeable. He helped me find the right shoe size and help me order online. I had a great shopping experience at this store.

Sadly, the Allen Edmonds of even just a few years ago is not the Allen Edmonds of today. They've since been sold off to yet another private equity firm, and everything has gone downhill since then.
The variety of AE's selection is poor. Not a single derby in sight, but they do have a number of leather sneakers that sit somewhere in no-man's land in terms of versatility for you to choose from.
The lack of selection could be forgiven, however, if the in-store experience wasn't so terrible and you could actually walk out with an oxford that fit. There were multiple employees working the store, and only one customer being fitted. We waited nearly a half hour, pacing up and down the small shoe shop before getting helped. When we finally got help, I was simply put on a Brannock, tossed a couple pairs of shoes, and immediately thereafter the saleswoman walked away. Very little personal attention. I even got eye-rolled for the crime of trying on the sizes I was given more than once to try and make sure what fit me best.
Coming in here as a customer, I was made to feel like much more of an inconvenience than a potential sale. The two women working the shop did nothing to make my visit pleasant, nor did it seem like they actually wanted to make sure I was taken care of. Apologies to you, AE Oak Brook staff for coming in and trying to get fit for your shoes...
I think people need to come to terms with the fact that this brand is (mostly) dead now.

Eva provided outstanding customer service. She walked me through all sizing considerations and the experience was smooth. This is my first pair of shoes at this price point. Looking forward to upgrading all my shoes. Bravo!

Establishment is not military friendly and is unnecessarily pretentious.Out of all days, yesterday my spouse was treated like a peasant for inquiring into a military incentive. The response and dismissive manner from the staff was far from exemplary service.Please be mindful and practice emotional intelligence to those who’ve sacrificed, and served our country. Also, train your staff for better customer service relationship management.My husband is frequent shopper for this company, and he will not be returning to this location again.

Incredibly well made, comfortable shoes that are actually made in the United States. They also carry EEE shoes that look really good.
