What a blessing this entire organization has been so far. My mother needed to be put in hospice. It is such a maze to getting information. Candace was amazing. Just waiting to get to facility.

Capital Hospice was highly recommended to our family. Being our first experience with hospice, Capital and ALL their employees were awesome. Especially Tyna, Michelle, and Nate. Very professional, extremely compassionate and felt like family.

I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant regarding hospice services however this was put to rest upon my initial meeting with Capital. My mother was treated kindly with dignity and respect throughout the hospice experience. Any questions or concerns were addressed promptly. Our whole family felt supported and we are grateful for the care provided by Capital.

Such an amazing community of professionals providing the best care to my loved one. Caring, knowledgeable and very responsive. I would not hesitate to select Capital if I ever have to make this choice again.

From our very first phone call with hospice questions, to our first nurse visit the same day, Capital Hospice in Woodridge was amazing to work with. Each person really treated my dad with respect and went out of their way to make sure we understood hospice & how to care for him. Our nurse & social worker were so fantastic, always there when we needed them. I’m so happy we found Capital Hospice.

As a Capital HPC volunteer, I am afforded the unique opportunity of providing meaningful companionship and social support to assisted living patients. In this capacity, I work very closely with the Volunteer Coordinator, Debbie Struck. Debbie is an amazing supervisor, and I could not have asked for a better volunteer experience.

I've never written a review, however...it's been 3 weeks since I had the tremendous fortune of discovering Capital while searching for the proper at-home care for my 91 yo father (advanced dementia; awful neuropathy pain; macular degeneration & glaucoma). My 94 yo mom (the mind of a far younger woman, but incapacitated from a weakened body/fall/broken wrist), had been caregiving my dad through their 64th anniversary, but her injury and lack of balance landed her in a wheelchair. My father's serious dementia led me (first) to explore Memory Care facilities, but after visiting two and speaking to a nurse at one, I discovered his advanced dementia and medical issues would be better managed with hospice care, a true necessity; I was seriously unaware he indeed qualified for hospice until I subsequently spoke to Capital. After a Sat. morning phone call to a Capital representative, 20 mins later, Nurse Jenny called me and walked me through palliative vs hospice care -- she was lovely and soooooo helpful. Since it was a Sat., next step was connecting w/ Capital on Monday. Candace Thompson, an angel, and I spoke at 9am; she offered to be at the house between 2-3pm same day w/ a doctor who assessed my father (who won't leave the house or see a doctor) as a candidate for hospice care. Relieved at professionals finally involved in our family crisis, I broke, surprisingly, into tears -- not of sadness, but rather because I felt we were finally on a proper path for end of life care. Candace sat with my mom and me and walked us through all that hopsice is; while we were looking simultaneously for 24/7 live-in caregiving, my mom cracked that she'd love to have Candace move in!The following day (Tues) Nurse Kathy visited the house -- she is incredible , kind and so caring and sweet to my dad, and my mother adores her; she is invaluable and available to my family. The following day, Wed., Nurse Kathy returned and we welcomed CNA Marianne to the team, again incredible. Social worker Donna was next, and Chaplain Nate soon followed, providing my mom and dad with unimaginable spiritual comfort when most needed; my sister was there and wept at Nate's empathy and love. I can keep going on and on about the efficiency and speed of everyone's attention at Capital, Candace following up to make sure all is good, the needed medical supplies/medications being delivered to the house in record time, and Nurse Kathy's constant attentiveness. It is amazing to find the care that Capital offers, allowing my dad to remain in his home toward the end of his life with such true and kind and responsive care. In an industry populated by 1-2 star online reviews, I am so pleased to award the highest rating to Capital, and specifically to the entire team that has been there for my dad, mom, sisters and me. THANK YOU!!!!
