My husband and I just visited Claire's in Oak Brook and was greeted by a very professional, kind, and personable employee named Melvin. He helped to make our shopping experience wonderful and we were blessed to find everything that we needed. I would encourage everyone to visit this Claire's location and hopefully experience the warm and welcoming atmosphere that we experienced. It is wonderful to spend your money where you are appreciated!!!

We had my daughter’s birthday party here and it was an awesome experience. The girls got to shop and get their hair done. Store manager Whitney and assistant manager Melvin took such great care of all the girls. They were warm and welcoming and incredibly patient helping the girls add up their purchases and walking them through the sales. Whitney did all the girls’ hair with wash-out hair coloring and gems and they all had a great time. The customer service is excellent. Highly recommend giving this location your business and definitely book a party here for your accessory-loving kiddo.

The things are cheaply made, and we were about to make a big purchase, but one of our daughters tried on a clip that broke, and they made at her cry and purchase it. I would take your business elsewhere where there is better customer service!

Do not get your ears pierced here. I got them pierced almost a year ago and have my earrings in every day. My piercing is so painful to get jewelry in. It seems as if they pierced it wrong. None of my piercings ever turn out when I go there.

I took my niece to get a second hole piercing for her birthday. At first the lady who helped us (she has a lot of piercings) was pleasant until she wasn’t. I totally understand people are human and make mistakes, but it is not okay to not be apologetic and honest about your mistake. One of her piercings she did perfect and the other she totally missed the marking (that we took time to place to make sure the holes were even). When she missed it she proceeded to give cleaning instructions. I stopped her and said, “I’m sorry, but she can’t leave that earring in because it will heal in the wrong position”. She then takes it out and asks me do I want her to pierce it again (at this point she’s slowly getting an attitude). I said, “yes as long as you don’t go back or close to the hole where the mistake was she would be good (remind you I’m not screaming, raising my voice, etc. because again I understand people are human)”. She pierces it again and puts it literally right were the mistake was. At this point my niece is scared (she’s 12) and her eyes are watery. I nicely tell the lady again that she did not go through the marking. Her attitude at this point has escalated. She takes the earring out and my niece is in full tears from pain of course. Even if this lady is irritated with me… she’s a child be gentle and apologetic. I had to hold and hug her to calm her down. The lady sees all of this and says absolutely nothing. A simple, “im sorry sweetie don’t worry the pain will be gone in a few minutes. Look at you now you’re a pro. I do apologize about missing the marking. Do you want some tissue”? Anything would have been better than eye rolls and blaming me for her missing the mark. She also tells me “it’s never going to be perfect”. I responded and said, “I’m not asking for it to be perfect, but if you pierce directly in the marking, then it would be closer to correct”. She then tells me to wait for her hole to heal and bring the earring back so they can pierce it at a later date. I politely went to the register and asked for a 50% discount to pay for the one earring she got. I will never take her back there or anyone else. Very disappointing especially to have that energy towards a child.I have attached a picture where you can see where the marking is versus where the piercer pierced it twice (red dot).

I bought earrings from here and they were the sterling ones. I wore them for 3 days but on the 4th day, the post broke before I put it on. I would say the earring itself is not the best quality but it is really appealing to the eye.
