I bought some jeans on the weekend, and the sales associate asked if I'd like to join their rewards program which would give me a discount. I said yes and she began the sign up process which seemed simple enough - name, email, phone number. She then turned the EFTPOS terminal in my direction and said that it would ask me a few questions, but they don't retain any of the information (ok ... so why are you asking?). The first question was asking for my social security number... obviously I was now skeptical. Turns out I was being signed up for their credit card in a very scam-like way. I have only lived in the US for 4 months so of course I was not familiar with the shady methods used in retail. Responsible lending leaves a lot to be desired in the US. How are you giving people credit cards under the guise of a rewards program? I have since read about a lot of similar situations online. Disgusting behavior, from the company pushing this product, and from the Sales Associate using scam tactics to sign people up. Do better. You think your genes/jeans campaign ate, but you're turning around and taking advantage of people at the same time. I would guess that your credit cards are taking advantage of vulnerable people. You disgust me.

I love shopping at GAP for baby clothes! The store has such a beautiful selection—everything is stylish, comfortable, and made with great quality materials. The location in Oakbrook is especially nice and well-organized, making it easy to find what I need.
The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that during my last visit, the cashier forgot to remove a security tag from one of my items. With a baby, it’s hard to find time to go back to the store, which is a bit frustrating.
Other than that, I highly recommend this store! Just make sure to double-check your items before leaving.

I love the Gap but some of the employees at this store are NOT it! I’ve previously had good interactions with some employees but there are a few rude ones. Yesterday I was shopping in person and there was a faux fur coat on the checkout counter. I approached an employee and asked if that was on hold for someone or if I could try it on and she rudely said “yes it’s on hold for me! Sorry!” And then she walked away. #1 I don’t understand why she didn’t just say yes it’s on hold, #2 I think it’s bizarre that an employee would hold something for themselves and not give it to the customer if they are looking for that item! That’s one of the number one rules in retail. Crazy! Avoid this store and just shop online. According to the other reviews, seems I’m not the only one who has had negative interactions here.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I decided to try some pants on and headed my way into the fitting rooms were I did have to wait atleast 5 minutes to be attended and so afterwards an old lady with black glasses told me to just go to the room in the corner. Mind you this lady greeted a customer before me very nicely and seemed to care but when I came up she just acted like she didn’t care. I shrugged it off and when I was done I came out the fitting room and before leaving she asked a customer if everything was okay and if she could take an Item she did not want. But when I came up later the employee saw me and did not bother to ask if I was okay or needed anything.I gave this store a one because no customer should feel discriminated or disappointed in themselves. Don’t waste your time in stores that will treat you badly.

I love this store! I’ve worked at Gap years ago in college and have always enjoyed the culture. Until today, I’ve never had a bad experience. I had ordered a bunch of items online (my baby is in the middle of a growth spurt and in between sizes) and had to return quite a few items.Anna (from the baby section) was incredibly rude and dismissive when I told her I had to make exchanges for 3 different order. I felt embarrassed and went downstairs to do my returns because her and the other team member upstairs stared at me like I was asking them to do copious amounts of work. This is my neighborhood Gap but I will not longer be shopping there for baby clothes so that I don’t have to be treated that way again.

This Gap re-laid out their store again, which made it seem like there were less men's clothes available, and had the women's sections very spread out. Adult athletic wear was on a whole other floor. The dressing room was chaotic, however despite that - the attendants were very helpful with retrieving other sizes. I will say Gap had exactly what I was out shopping for today.
