I'm a doordasher, and I picked up a shopping order for Sephora. I didnt think anything of how difficult it would be to shop for a customer until I walked in... I was like a lost puppy dog. Thankfully, Erin the associate there saw my distress and helped me complete this order. Thank you so much Erin! Hope im spelling her name right.

I have been a loyal Sephora Rouge member for over a decade and have shopped at the Oak Brook location since 2013, but after my recent experience, I will not be going back.
I had three items to return: one was a gift (unopened), one was from Kohls Sephora (a brand new Urban Decay liquid liner), and one was from a nearby Sephora store. I was shocked at how rudely I was treated by an associate at Oak Brook. She flat out refused to help with two of the returns, loudly lectured me about my attitude in front of other customers, and made the entire interaction deeply uncomfortable. I calmly explained that the product was clearly visible in my Sephora app, but she still raised her voice and spoke to me like I was the problem.
I did not catch her name, but she was an Asian woman working that day. Her tone and behavior completely erased years of positive experiences I have had at this location.
I did return one item successfully, but I felt so unwelcome that I left without buying anything else, even though I had planned to. I then drove to the Sephora inside Kohls and was thankfully able to return the Urban Decay liner there. Still, driving between locations just to complete a simple return felt like a complete waste of time, especially as a parent with limited time in the day.
I ended up going to the Oak Park Sephora afterward, where I was able to shop in peace and buy my Dior lipstick and two Urban Decay pencil liners. But I should not have to visit three different stores just to be treated with basic respect. Ulta will be getting most of my business going forward.

I got the HUDA Beauty concealer from Sephora as a gift, and when I opened it, I was absolutely horrified. The texture was disgusting. Chalky, clumpy, and dry like cement. It was clearly defective. I tried using it and had to literally scrape the dried-out mess just to see how bad it was. Iāve never seen anything like this in a makeup product before. Completely unusable.
So I go to Sephora to show them this awful mess, and instead of helping me, Iām immediately hit with attitude. The associate looks at it and goes, āDo you have a receipt?ā I explained it was a gift and my friend didnāt keep the paper receipt. She doesnāt have Sephora rewards either, thereās no way to track it. Still, I pointed out that it was purchased at this exact location.
Instead of offering any kind of solution, she doubled down with more rudeness and said, āItās empty.ā Yeah... no kidding. I had to DIG through that disgusting dust just to show you how defective it was. The fact that Sephora is selling products in this condition is bad enough. But then to turn around and blame the customer and refuse to do a single thing about it? Thatās unacceptable.
Not even a sample, a gift card, NOTHING. Just pure attitude and no accountability. I am absolutely disgusted by the way I was treated. Sephora should be ashamed of this level of service. This wasnāt just a bad experience, it was infuriating. Selling a broken, unusable product and then treating the customer like garbage when they ask for help? Never again.
This product is a hazard. No one should be putting this on their skin. And Sephora not only sold it but acted like I was the problem for bringing it back. Honestly, Iām disgusted and beyond disappointed. This is the last time I ever trust them.
Whatās worse is that Sephora is owned by LVMH, a multi-billion dollar corporation. They bring in over $90 billion a year, and yet, they couldnāt accommodate one loyal customer who came in with a clearly defective $30 concealer? Thatās outrageous.
To be honest, I should sue for the condition of this product, itās not only unusable, but it could be a health hazard. What if someone had put this on their face? Itās beyond unacceptable.

I booked Juan H for a makeup lesson! He was able to find everything I needed that matched my complexion flawlessly. I have my 2nd make up lesson booked already to learn more! If anyone is looking for make up lessons book him! FYI I am a darker skinned woman.

I stopped in on April 14th, the last day of the sale. As expected, they were busy, but Juan came up to me and helped me find what I was looking for. I really love how even though they were busy, he followed up with myself and other customers, too. His customer service skills were amazing, I love the mascara and the skin tint he recommended. He was so, so kind and helpful and really funny, I really appreciated him and his help!! <3

I was on vacation and I stopped in this store. A floor person gave me a sample of Innisfree Clay max. It is amazing. I have never used anything this good at cleaning out my pores. I will be buying the regular size soon.

The workers made me feel uncomfortable! I felt followed because whenever I went on an isle , a worker followed me . It seemed as if they were racially profiling me while in the store .. I would not come back to this location .

This store location is CROWDED LIKE A SARDINE CAN WITH VERY VERY YOUNG GIRLS!!! It's absolutely ridiculous! I can barely get around the store without the 25 different entourages of 10-12 year old girls taking up every inch of that store. I love the products but I will stick with Ulta from now on

I had a veryyy hard time with customer service (on the phone) because they were giving me different directions about what to do about a certain order and kept making me go back and forth. I went to this location and Angie was sooooooooooo patient and so kind and did her absolute best to help me. She helped better than anyone I spoke to over the phone. She made me feel very valued as a customer and took the time to understand the situation and helped me understand. 1000000/10 customer service from her!!! She definitely deserves so much recognition and praise from the company, she really went above and beyond.
