Surprised this is designated an Autograph property. Poor service / attitude at the front desk (called twice in the morning 2 days in a row, couldn’t get through). Property is kind of shabby though the rooms are nice. Breakfast is decent, bar is pretty nice but gets crowded.

Love, love, loved the Drake in oak Brook. Our room was beautiful, the service was exceptional, the room service was awesome and the food was so delicious. Ricky was our valet attendant he went about and beyond to make sure we were happy. I highly recommend the Drake in Oak Brook we were so happy, were going back to rent a suite for the weekend. Such a beautiful, beautiful experience. Never disappointed.

My husband and I attended a gala here so we got a room. The hotel has an old school classiness to it.Beautiful decor, friendly staff, and a wonderful manager named Kevin.I would definitely return for a romantic getaway.

Every single staff member I interacted with went out of their way to create a positive experience. The doorman, the front desk manager, the bartender. My regards to Joshua and Rigo, the only names I caught during my short stay! It’s an old building which comes with some limitations like thin walls. But the room interiors are updated with modern elements. The food at the restaurant is top notch. And they also have a fun homage to the origins of drake hotel with the drake “key”. You’ll know what I mean if you choose to stay here. There may be some newer/better hotels in the area but I thought this place was truly great.

As a live wedding/event painter, it was super fun to paint at this venue. ?

Total unprofessional, run down, greedy! Do not have your wedding at this hotel. Ridiculously made up numbers to make you spend over $300 dollars per guest for a run down stinky wedding venue. Karla absolutely is inconsiderate and greedy. Making up rules to take advantage. Stay Away I would go somewhere else to have my wedding. Any place is better than this dump of venue. They plan to rip off clients to pay for their remodeling. Horrible

Went for "Hi Tea" for a little Christmas get together. Note: I gave 5 stars for the rooms but that's for the dining rooms. The place was really clean, the service was superior. I'd never done "high tea" before but it was very enjoyable. 5 stars given where 5 stars deserved... ?Food & drinks: We had an assortment of finger sandwiches and desserts which were excellent.

We celebrated our Thanksgiving at the Drake, and we attended their Thanksgiving brunch. The atmosphere was very pleasant: there was a musician playing in lobby bar area as well as the Christmas tree and decorations were very cheerful. The food was absolutely amazing and so abundant. At the carving station there was a traditional turkey, glazed ham, prime rib, and leg of lamb. Additionally, there were hot stations of herb turkey, salmon, chicken, all of the side dishes like stuffing, sweet potatoes, etc. Endless salads, a multitude of desserts. And, for anyone wanting breakfast, there was a beautiful spread of dishes as well as an omlette station and a waffle station. Bottomless mimosas. Needless to say, our party left beyond satisfied, and this marked the start to our annual Thanksgiving tradition. Definitely will be back next year!

For a hotel that advertises itself as a "glamorous escape from the everyday," my experience was a bit different. The room was smaller than expected but clean, and the staff was friendly at check-in. However, I faced some issues during my stay and at check-out.Firstly, at check-out, I didn't receive the promised emailed invoice until I followed up via phone the next day. I was told I would get that in less than five days - a bit slow for today's standards. Secondly, the hotel was quite noisy in the evenings with maintenance work around 9:00 PM (some drilling) and door slamming in the halls until ~11:00 PM.Considering the cost, I expected a smoother experience. While the stay wasn't all bad, I'm inclined to try a different place next time.

We ate at the igloo restaurant and I would have rated it higher perhaps a 2 or 3 but the attitude of the manager made me lower it to a 1 star.Let me explain…. First off they started by taking us down this set of stairs to this unfinished basement area that had the ceiling torn apart and literally had dangling wires all over and pallets of construction materials. Not exactly what I would call an upscale hotel experience. I brushed that off and we were taken to our igloo. Granted the igloo was unique we were expecting great food and great service. Especially from a high end wellKnow hotel such as the Drake. Well the waitress took over 10 minutes to even come greet us and take our drink orders. It then took another 15 minutes to get our drinks. We immediately put our entire order in including the appetizers and entrees. The appetizers came out somewhat quickly as did the entrees. However the waitress was yet to be seen again and I kid you not, it took well over 40 minutes to check in after we got our food. We then didn’t see her again for another 20 minutes when we asked for a dessert menu. She took her sweet time bringing that to us. We ordered our desserts which yet again took way too long to arrive. Something along 15 minutes or so. And then they brought out the wrong dessert. We immediately informed her the dessert was wrong and she said she’d be right back with the correct one. This is when we had enough. We literally sat there for 35 minutes waiting for her to bring the replacement dessert and nothing. So we finally got up and went back upstairs to the main dining room and I asked for a manager. A young lady maybe 20 years old comes over and I said she’s the manager. Well I started to explain what happened with the slow service and the first thing she says is “Did the server tell you that you can leave” followed by “oh you should have asked for me downstairs and not come up here”…. Excuse me??!?!! What absolutely terrible service. Why a manager would ever say those things is beyond me. She didn’t apologize to me. She just repeated herself yet and said something about how we can get our check downstairs and now she has to go down and get it. I was without words. Never have I had this type of poor service at a high end property. I’m sorry but this manager should not be one or at least retrained. Then on top of that she says oh I took off the dessert on your check. Again excuse me?!!? We didn’t even get our dessert of course it should be taken off. How about an apology. Now I’m not looking for a free meal or anything. The main thing I wanted was to inform a manager of how badly we were treated. But the manager was just as bad or even worse than the server.
