Was there today looking for ground chicken. I go to the meat and seafood butcher and ask for a lbs. right off the bat he was ignorant and just pointed to the meat aisle, Didn’t say a word. I go and look for the ground chicken and justcouldn't seem to find it. I go back to the butcher, I stand for a 5 mins after he saw me, pretending to look busy. I tell him I didn’t see it in hopes he could help me find it. Instead with an attitude he says if it’s not over there we don’t have it. Grabbed ground turkey instead but I will go out of my way to go to a different grocery store. I didn’t get his name but I believe he was an Asian American man with glasses.

Only 2 check outs open with approximately 10-15 people waiting in each lane and I get screamed at for attempting to use self check out for having a few over 15 items. Instead of worrying how many items I have in my cart, why don’t you open a lane. This store has gone down the toilet.

The manager, Lorie at the Oak Forest Jewel is a disgrace as a manager!! She’s rude, racist, disrespectful and is NOT a people person!! I’ve had horrible experiences going to the service desk when she’s there, I dread dealing with her if I need help with anything in your store. I’m retired and I’ve always been in management and I know from experience that you have to be a people person in order to help customers or manage employees. I have seen this Lorie over the months past embarrass your customers, speak rudely to your customers and I myself have tried to be friendly and try to get a smile or friendly response from her…it’s impossible!! I’ve asked for rain checks before and she doesn’t believe me that the store is out of whatever the rain check is for and rolls those eyes of hers and takes off down the isle to try and prove I’m lying!! I tell you I’ve never been treated so rudely in my life!! I am going to contact an attorney about her and Jewel because her attitude caused me to have a panic attack and your manager should not be dealing with customers!! I’ve also heard complaints from other customers waiting in line dreading to have to deal with her, or they’d get in line….see her and say “oh no, I’ll come back when she’s gone!”. She is a disgrace as a manager!! I’ve also attached a picture of my review on Yelp. I will NOT be treated like this anymore by Lorie!

Paid extra for delivery during a certain timeframe, order was about an hour and half late. First rep said to contact the store once delivery was received to receive some sort of compensation. I contacted the store to notify of delivery and second rep proceeded to tell me the driver would reach out to me - DoorDash and jewel was not responsible. The driver never reached out to me. Jewel has done nothing about it- yet they are the ones that outsource through their own app. Don’t pay for delivery through this Jewel location.

The wait at the deli counter is ALWAYS unbearable. For twenty minutes I stood there and they were still six numbers away from mine. 3 deli slicers went to take care of the fried chicken orders and left one person to take care of customers request for sliced meat. My wife reminded me it’s not the workers, it’s bad management.

This is by far the worst Jewel there is the other day I went to the Deli they didn't have Salami or Ham everything was out of stock. Then on 3/2 I placed a curbside pickup order early in the morning for the first time since it was the only way to get the deals and they waited all day to cancel it on me to reschedule it for 2 days later pickup. They took the money out of my card and when I questioned them why they did she was screaming that they never charge me until the order is picked. I called and they are so rude and if they don't have an answer for you they just hang up wouldn't once take my name or order number to check on it. The other Jewel managers I called were able to fill all their curbside orders for the day and had no problem answering the questions I had when I didn't even shop at their location with a friendly manner. Every single employee I talked to yesterday was so rude and screaming at the Oak Forest location. I will never go to this location ever again.

These ladies at the self check out are completely ignorant. Twice I have them come over to my cart and looking at my screen then she put her hands in my cart. Know I always take the scanner and ring my stuff up it's quicker. Never had a problem till today she came over and told me I have to take everything out and scan it. She grabed the bags out of my hand and started talking to me like I was a child. I had 3 items plus water not a full cart like some people do. If you are so worried about theft. Take the 5 people that are standing around and make them cashiers.

A cashier name taniah needs more training, she smashed my bread , bagging on top of it cans, seriously is a common sense even a 7 year old knows.

The last four times I’ve used Drive Up & Go I’ve waited over a half hour while being the only car in the section. I’ve had to call the store and notify them then wait another ten minutes for them to bring the groceries out.
