Mmm well I purchased a vehicle 12/26 from the oak lawn location and 4 days later the bakes were feeling funny it was taking so long to stop the vehicle I took it in they “fixed” it. I then had the vehicle for a week and then it did the same thing took it back then fixed it this time to correct way. 2 weeks go past and I curried pairing my blue link and I couldn’t they said I needed a software update Carmax said they couldn’t do it I had to go to Hyundai to have it fixed. I took it there they stated I had to pay I advised Carmax and they stated they will cover the cost. Carmax had me bring my vehicle in and they took it to Hyundai who said there was an engine recall from 2021 that I wasn’t made aware of. Hyundai “fixed” the issues I got my vehicle back 2/21/25 and the engine lights came on saying potential engine failure I called Carmax stated I no longer wanted the vehicle because this was the 4th time. They then do a buyback and on March 4th get me into a vehicle a 21 Nissan rogue, this was “perfect” I drive that for 4 days and on the 5th day the transmission is being weird. On March 10th I’m heading to Carmax to have them fix it and it shuts off while I’m driving I could’ve had an accident . I then tell them they can have it I got my money back. I then schedule a viewing for the 2023 rogue at the Eisenhower location and I meet with a Mr. Kim who tells me he wouldn’t recommend this vehicle and basically try and sell me every other vehicle aside form that. I then left and went to Tinley park, I purchase a ford escape and few days later the brakes were being wonky as well I took it to the Naperville area which by far had the BEST customer service experience I’ve ever had with Carmax! They fixed the vehicle and it’s running like new! This is the happiest I’ve been with a purchase. The only take away is Eric from Oak lawn he is by far the best employee over there and there was the manager I think his name Jorge ? He was really good with me I felt seen and he worked so hard to get me in something else. Jamie I could care less for he need to learn patience he was tryna get me out of there so fast not even being remorseful. And everyone I ran into at the Naperville location I’m telling you are just awesome. I think her name Jillian she works in service, pregnant she was so sweet and she calmed to give updates throughout the process. The mechanic who fixed my brakes thank you for taking such good care with my vehicle in making sure it’s safe! The only good thing to take away is the ppl I’ve met who helped try to make the experience better for me! I think Carmax isn’t doing a through inspection as they state they are. They should really check those brakes before they put it on the lot and check it again before selling. Although Tim happy with my purchase it should have been inspected more. Overall thank you to the Naperville location , and Eric and Jorge at the oak lawn location service needs ppl like you all

Once again, Jaime Serna, was amazing! He has sold me and my family three cars as of Saturday over the past couple of years. In every single instance, the process was seamless and very professional. I am so happy that I can trust a salesman with such a humbling process. When I called and found out he was not at work, I decided to wait on his return. He is very professional, courteous, patient and thorough. He is a true car salemans. You have a gem on your hands because he represents Car Max very well. He is an excellent example of why repeat customers return to the same salesperson and place of business. Job well done again Jaime. Happy Toyota customer

I spoke with a woman on the phone, Kelly Langley, before I went to the actual dealership. I think she was at a different location and a part of the Carmax customer service team. Because of our conversation, I went ahead and applied for financing with her which made the process a lot less stressful when I got to the dealership. She was personable, knowledgeable, and patient. Cesar at Carmax in Oaklawn, IL helped me seal the deal. He was very friendly, patient, and willing to do whatever I needed to feel comfortable. When the car I had chosen on the lot wasn’t exactly what I wanted, he helped me find cactus what I wanted at a nearby dealership and got it shipped over. He said he wanted me to love the car I bought, it just like it. There wasn’t the usually haggling over down payment, etc, u told him my terms and we went from there. Below is a picture of me with my new baby! Thank you for going above and beyond with customer service and helping me make a stressful decision and purchase less stressful!

From start to finish everyone in the Business office was very friendly and helpful. My reason for coming to Carmax last Saturday was to sell my SUV. The experience was smooth form start to finish.

Jamie was amazing Start to finish, made sure I was 100% happy with my purchase, made sure that the suv was at 100%! Soft spoken and very attentive. I’d buy a car from him any day. There’s also a guy I forgot his name but he’s the manager over the service department that made sure they stood behind their product, he was super respectful and made things happen. I appreciate these two and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Thanks Jamie!

Place felt very disorganized as soon as I walked in the greeter look at me awkwardly until I spoke up , Made me feel unwelcome. before answering any my questions, the salesman started taking down my information. I was confused.
