I called this location to see if they serviced my make & model vehicle & the guy that answered the phone hung up in my face. I was hoping this would be the location I start taking my car because it’s closer to me. After being disrespected over the phone, I will never take my car here. They should change the name.. nothing is “ Happy “ about this place!!

Brought my car in for the same issue twice. They said on each occasion they couldn't find anything wrong but charged me 180$ the first time . The second time I brought it in they said the technician took my car for a test drive to find the problem for 10 minutes but I have a dash cam and that never happened!Every time I tried to talk to the service agent someone would pick up the phone and hang up. They even went further to lie that they called and left messages on my phone which never happened either time . Don't waste your time or money on this crook county dealership!!!!

If I could give less than a star, I absolutely would. I went in today to look at a car I've had my eye on. I read the reviews of the dealership before going in, and I'm glad I did. So many negative reviews all about the same thing. I drove the car. Loved it. Then the "negotiation" began. They horribly low balled on my trade and then the price breakdown. This RIDICULOUS 3700 package was tacked on. I told him I did not want it as I knew it was OPTIONAL. there were also adding for nitrogen filled tires, again laughable. I told him the bottom line I was willing to pay. The manager looked at it, crossed it out IN RED SHARPIE and gave their bottom line...29900 I've never seen anything so condescending in my life. I said, "uh yea, I WON'T be doing that".Context: this is a 24700 car and out the door they wanted 30k. I Bwahaha as if. No wonder your reviews are abysmal.

I gave an honest review of my experience... the review was "anonymous" only to be called the next day requesting that I give 5 stars- They offered to compensate me a tank of gas the next time I went in. (Did not accept the BRIBE). Good to know the level of dishonesty of this place. Unfortunately I paid a huge chunk so I'm going to continue getting service here, but I wouldn't recommend.

Concerning: SalesShort story/TLDR:(Keywords: markup and transparency)1. Happy Hyundai employs a pricing strategy involving markups, despite any claims from staff to the contrary. (Please refer to point #2 for further details.)2. The "Happy Hyundai Package" offered by this dealership involves markups, and negotiation over this aspect has been required in my experiences over the past 5 years.3. Despite being a returning customer, there were no special benefits or considerations offered.If they just were transparent to customers about markup this would help their reputation. Long story:Now, to elaborate:The process began with a phone call I made concerning my previous vehicle, which I had recently sold. During this call, I inquired about the 2023 Elantra N and specifically asked about any potential markups. The person I spoke with assured me that their dealership does not engage in markups. Based on this information, I proceeded with the understanding that I would be paying the sticker price, along with taxes, a documentation fee, and optional warranty coverage, if desired.Upon arriving at the dealership to inspect the vehicle, I had a pleasant interaction with Orlanda, who assisted me. He too, informed me that there were no markups involved. While we worked on the numbers to reach a agreeable price for the Elantra N, he eventually sought the input of the sales manager, Emanuel. It was at this point that I was told by sales manager there would be no room for negotiation on the price due to the rarity of the car, and that a markup was indeed applied (About five thousand dollars over msrp). When Emmanuel admitted markup (he literally said it), this revelation was disingenuous considering the dealership's claim of not engaging in markups. I expressed my concern regarding this lack of transparency, and I believe it is essential for the General Manager and owners to address this matter and provide customers with upfront and honest information to avoid wasting anyone's time.I urge Happy Hyundai in Oak Lawn to adopt a more transparent approach with their customers. Engaging in undisclosed markups tarnishes the reputation of the Hyundai brand. For a better experience, I would recommend considering alternative Hyundai dealerships outside the "Happy" network. I got the same Elantra N I wanted at a dealership for a much more fair and transparent price.

The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because of Nick Youngblood. He is STELLAR and so helpful. You can tell he actually cares about the PERSON and not just the profit.On to my experience. I went in to get my car updated. I noticed shortly after I left that my rear view camera was no longer working. Weird. I call them and schedule an appointment to have it looked at. I was told that one of the wires had some corrosion and that it'd be a large chunk of money to get it fixed. I'm BAFFLED because my camera was working fine before I arrived. The man serving me that day (guy with the gauges in his ears) couldn't care less. He made no attempt to explain the charges or try and give some sort of discount as, like I said before, my camera was perfectly fine!Fast forward a couple of days I submit the survey and get a call from Len (HUGE eyeroll). The gist of the convo was "these things happen" "your car is old so what can you do." No attempts to be helpful, no explanation offered. Nothing. He told me he would call with a follow up to bring my car back in and I heard nothing until I had to call back a week later. I also told Daniela Garcia about my experience. Again, crickets. Currently I have submitted a complaint with the BBB. We'll see what happens.

Warning: Reading this might save you $34,000Wish I could give zero stars.I'm editing my post because I was called by Len who told me that Vince would get in trouble due to this post. So I want to make it perfectly clear Vince was the only person at Happy Hyundai that did his job and helped me.Service Really Sucks!Everyone to busy being busy to help you. Vince is the only person that was finally able to help me after going through 4 other service people and doing everything they asked of me 5 months later my car was fixed.The turn over rate is insane.Updated...Okay Len, service sucks because you want to call me after the damage is done and ask me to pull down my review.Which is funny because you're calling me William when my name clearly says Willie J. Prevolt.To be honest I was going to take it down but the best you could tell me is it's 7 PM on a Friday night and your calling me and you don't want Vince to get in trouble.Great, I don't either.Quick Question:What do I do when I have called up their dozens of times and I get left on hold and or I have to drive up their just to get my questions answered?OrWhen I told you about going through 4 bad service people before landing on Vince.OrHow about the service man that lost my key and I had to wait on another one?OrWhat about pulling in and waiting 15 to 20 minutes before someone say anything everyone keep looking down at their computer?And the best answer you can give me is your sorry and that's just what service is moving forward because you all are short staff?Seriously, is that your best answer, how about I'm sorry or we will do better- You all but told me to get over it and take the post down because it hurts Vince.No, poor service hurts the good employees, everyone to busy being busy to have basic customer service.It's no accountability, the customer is told to get over it after spending 34,000 on car. Maybe you should have pulled my file and looked at the fact that I was in rental for 4 months after I just got the car or the fact that I spent $2300 on the 2013 Sonata just for it to break down again a month later and be told you all couldn't for see it happening- so I got a new car in 2018.With this new car I have had it in the shop multiple times because you all couldn't figure out the problem and when I did get the car back I broke down again and I was back in a rental after that I my transmission was damage by one of your employees so I was back in a rental then I had to jump through all these hopes to get a new engine which put me back in a rental-I'm sorry if I'm tired of freaking Happy Hyundai and no lie you piss me off with your call because the only thing you cared about was me taking down an honest review. You didn't do your homework and see if I was being a cry baby or if my frustrations was warranted, no you just wanted me to take it down.All this happen with my 2018 which the problem started at 3000 miles and just got a new engine at 75000 miles which we started the process at 62,000 miles.Make it make senses.You didn't do your homework, which would have took 15 minutes. All you wanted was my number out my file, forget about everything else.To answer your question no I can't take this review down, how about Happy Hyundai start giving better service starting with basics customer service- Greet them, communicate, heck answer the phone or return calls do better job-What really did it was it was like 3 or 4 people up their with the same name you call and you keep getting transferred to wrong person and at no point did anyone think to use last names man Happy Hyundai sucks.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Luis Diaz while shopping for a new car, and I have to say that he exceeded all of my expectations as a salesperson. My continued saga with "Happy Hyuandi " When I last reviewed their service department it wasn't great then the service mgr Len asked me to take it down because it looked bad on him Last week I went in for my oil changed when I scheduled the appointment I verified that I did indeed have a $100 credit on my account , I was assured it was there. Upon arriving I was informed that there was no credit listed I asked to see the manager who of course was Len Who stated they promised a free oil change not a $100 credit . He sat there and looked at me like I was crazy but finally said whatever. So yes I git a free oil change no credit balance and no one looked at the rear tail light because Len says I would have to pay for which isn't a problem although it was out when I last left them but did t want to return Alicia has no customer service and is less than helpful in getting the required service Happy Hyundai is not a Happy place for long time customers Please don't send me texts asking for favorable reviews you won't get one here A dissatisfied customer
