Friendly engaging waitress, excellent food and plenty of food for the price. First time there, but will be returning in the not too distant future.

A true supper club straight up delicious. The service is impeccable the atmosphere is personal, the drinks are crisp and generous. The meats and seafood are on point. Pete is still rocking the kitchen he is a legend having been cooking since 1958. This converted Bungalow is a retro blast to an excellent meal.

The relish tray part of the dinner was nice. The drinks were way to strong for a bunch of light weights like my friends and I. The soup was clam chowder and egg lemon with rice. It was horrible! Cream soups are suppose to be thick. This soup was not. Salad was ok. The New York strips were not tender and had a odor to them. Sent them back twice to be cooked to their liking. The butt steak looked like a sirloin steak. I had the oysters Rockefeller, it was not cooked through. I had to bring it home and fully broil them to get the full effect of the dish. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The waitresses are very racist towards Hispanics, as if one's money was not worth it, they left us waiting for about 30 minutes at the entrance and everyone walked past us and ignored

Old school dinner club. With your dinner, you get a relish tray, servings of cottage cheese, beets, macaroni salad are some that are served.Salad and cup of soup along with bread are served. Then dinner.Very extensive, something for everyone!Greek influence.Great bar area that was crowded.Plenty of parking.Closed on Mondays.Opens at 4

Salad was drenched in dressing. Had the house Italian, way too much vinegar that's all you tasted. Oysters Rockefeller had so much spinach, overpowered everything.Saganaki and fried mushrooms were really good, fried zucchini was greasy. Deserts were all very good.

Pete is in the kitchen cranking out fresh fish and great chops. Mike is behind the bar serving you the classics. The interior has a fresh paint and carpet makeover l, looking bright and cheery. The kitchen is clean and open to view what's hot and coming up to the plate. Now, the bar serves basic wine and drinks, but they're darned solid and good. Still all the supper club dishes as a nice size serving. Love the Greek lemon soup as always.

Service was pretty good and friendly. Ambiance, like from the 70s. Small plates brought to you when you're seated: Relish tray, garlic bread, cole slaw, macaroni salad, beets and cottage cheese Wines-generic but acceptable Big complaint: 8oz "grilled" filet at $40 was tender and lean but had no flavor; seemed like it hadn't been seasoned at all; seemed like it went from a sous vide bag (boiled in a bag) to the plate without any broiling, sauteing or grilling. Side of sauteed spinach at $8.50 same, absolutely no flavor - usually this dish would be sauteed in butter/oil with garlic, salt or other flavorings - here, nothing. I wondered if I had lost my taste buds, but no, the desserts that came with dinner were fine. Partner had baked potato (old, dried out, maybe warmed over from prior day w/ flavorless sour cream (B-grade industrial supply?)

My steak was fully inedible and smelled like fish.I sent the steak back and chose to eat nothing bc I was so off put. I was still charged for the food. Other than that the food was mediocre at best and on the pricier side. Save ur money!

Petey's Bungalow - a Southside icon. And what a wonderful website. It truly drips with elegance and fine dining. And that's about it. We have lived on the Southside for over 25 years, and this was our first visit to the legendary Petey's. We were seated very quickly and a relish tray appeared quickly afterward. Apetizers appeared promptly and drinks followed. We placed our orders....and that's when the entire experience went downhill. Our waitress was terrific - and keep this in mind: the waitstaff has nothing to do with the quality of food but often they are the ones who suffer because of the cooks, busboys, and management. I had the chicken parmesan - a very small portion no bigger than my palm - smothered in red sauce and green peppers. Another person with us had the butt steak which was a massive pile of inedible tendons and mutton smelling terribly of fish. The burger ordered by a third person in our party was a dreadful lump of ground beef which may have been older than last Fourth of July's celebrations. The drink I ordered was quite good, not as usually served, but not bad. A dirty martini should have blue cheese stuffed olives especially at these prices; these olives were not. I substituted Greek potatoes in my order and they arrived long after my dinner was served. They were also scalding hot indicating they were forgotten and came hastily direct from the microwave. The potatoes were raw and inedible. It seemed an eternity waiting for our check to arrive. I did not take out my frustration with the waitress, she received a generous tip. Instead, I am leaving my honest feelings here. This may have been a great dinner club at some point. It is no longer even a sliver of what it may have been previously. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.
