The manager at this location, who has dreadlocks, displayed clear bias against me and my brother for no reason. I have rented from this location multiple times without any issues—until this manager arrived. When we asked about the insurance policy, his attitude changed abruptly. I had no idea that simply asking questions was against policy, but he refused service just because we inquired!
As a result, I had to drive an extra four miles, causing unnecessary inconvenience, all because this manager chose to be discriminatory.
Thankfully, when I went to the Alsip U-Haul, I was greeted warmly. I asked the same insurance-related questions, and they had no problem answering them. I was able to complete my rental there without any issues.
If you're considering renting from this location and have any questions about your U-Haul rental, do yourself a favor—go somewhere else!

I rescheduled one to pick up I got the right before they close the told me that they can wait for 2 minutes to give me the keys and I was charged in full all they had to do is take a picture of my drivers license can hand me a key I had to go out down load there app to get a key by the time I downloaded the app they closed and told me to come back tomorrow and they started laughing so yah never write a bad review in my life them they should at least respect people I don’t expect a 5 star service from minimum wage workers

I was double charged , they charged my debit card twice I was told there system had a glitch in it so was advised to reinsert my debit card and so I did when I left with the truck I went into my account and seen I had an overdraft of 2 transactions, I waited until I moved my items and went back to the Uhaul to return the truck and I told they young man who was there that they charged me twice, I paid my for the use of the truck in cash so I assumed that the transactions would reverse it’s self due to me paying in cash but they reversed one of the transactions but not the other one so I disputed it through my bank so I guess when the bank alerted them of the problem they went into the system and at the Uhaul place and put in a refund of 46 dollars when they took 92 dollars from my account so some one at Uhaul is stealing money or something I would never rent from them again

I just called right now to make a reservation. There is they have bad bad service and she hung up in my face. This is a bad location.

No one wanted to help me return my truck rental. I went to the front counter and the lady was talking about some party she was going to attend. Didn't want to bother with me. I went outside and saw a couple of employees and as soon as they saw I wanted to return, they ran inside and closed the door. What type of business is this??!!! Do not recommend. Go somewhere else.

Do not rent from these terrible attitude people! Just rude from start to finish. Paying $230 bucks for a 10X10 and asking simple questions upset the employees. Like “Why does me being a contact number on someone else’s rental, deny me from getting a promotion rate?” Jerks

This place was terrible!! Rude manager and employees. After seeing a couple units and agreeing to a unit, we were told to leave because our attitudes. We looked at each other with dis belief!! We were just talking amongst the movers how expensive they are compared to other storage places.

Horrible service. First when called to reserve, the girl that took care of me was ghetto as hell... When I said, "yes I would like reserve over the phone, if it's possible"... her response was "aight, cool"... Then talking and laughing to her ppl around... Paid very little attention to my requests. Had to repeat myself a few times. THEN, when pick up time came.... Ryan M, shouldn't even be working there. Horrible attitude, no customer service skills, didn't even tell me where to find my unit, I had to carry the furniture dolly myself, didn't even explain the return process, had to figure it out on my own, and on top of that, settled the amount at 100 miles driven, when I used 70 miles. Not willing to help AT ALL. Did everything with a FACE. Not good experience at this location. Should take example from the location in Cicero & 133rd (near there). The guy was very helpful, friendly, took me directly to my unit, he put the dolly in the unit himself, showed me how the return process worked, helped me with the inspection of the unit, the whole 9.
I guess not everyone LIKES to work. Smh.

This is one of the best stores, huge, and neat. I've gone to various stores. And the service here just amazing. I rented a 20 foot truck and storage. I can't even describe how helpful Mr.Jenkins was. I believe he's the manager but he shows accountability and respect for us ladies as customers.

The staff is ignorant and they should change staff, they are rude on the phone as well as in person, I don't understand how such a large company allows this type of people working here, it's something terrible!!! ???????
That's why they have such bad reviews because of the terrible staff.

Twice now I've tried to get into my locker to drop items off. Twice now the overhead door does not go up and I used the keypad and get declined. I pay for 2 spots here and this has happened twice. I'm supposed to have access until 10pm. This is poor service.

The uhaul we used had a couple of issues, the door was so hard to open it took two people, the truck barely wanted to switch gears when it got to 4k rpm, also the guy who did our reservation was kinda rude, and there was 7 people there and only one person working the counter.

Even though I did not exchange my propane tank, the technician was very helpful in letting me know that the tank was already full and really didn't need to be refilled. It wasn't working because it could be the regulator on the grill. Very considerate and helpful.
