I’m not sure what happened, because this has always been my go to pharmacy. The service was fast and customer service was excellent. But, that’s not the case any longer. I attempted to refill a script through the app LAST WEEK. I got a notice that it was partially filled (??), so I went to pick it up. After inquiring, we realized that it was only 5 pills! 5 pills out of a 90 day supply?? We then discovered that the rest of script was in, they just hadn’t filled it. After sitting in the drive-thru for 30+ minutes, she asked if I could come in and wait for 10 mins while they complete it. I understand things can get hectic, so I didn’t mind waiting. Why was I waiting inside for another 30 minutes and the script STILL wasn’t ready?? Then, when I inquired about the wait time, I was told they’re behind. Hmmm, this is a refill that was submitted LAST WEEK. How far behind are you to where 7 days isn’t enough time to fill a prescription? I told them that I would just come back later. Here it is midnight, and the app states that the prescription is still processing!! So, from 2pm to midnight, a 24-hr pharmacy is unable to refill ONE prescription, which was first submitted 7 days ago?? I expected service to suffer once private equity took over Walgreens, but this is ridiculous. Needless to say, I will be moving my business. It seems Walgreens is unable to complete minor tasks in a reasonable amount of time now.

The pharmacist on 3/9 around 6pm should have better customer service.
I scheduled an appt for Covid/flu testing for my daughter. I waited in line but saw that they had a QR code to check in. I did that, the message prompted me to wait in the waiting area and someone would call me. We waited about 20mins and I felt like something wasn’t right. So I step back in line to ensure they had us checked in. Once, I proceed to the line the pharmacist came out to ask the reasons for the people who were waiting. I once again hoped out of line to tell the pharmacist my daughter’s name and explain that I checked in for my daughter using the QR code. The pharmacist proceeds to tell me that she was unsure that she would be seen before there break at 6:45pm. I stated we’ve been waiting for 20mins and again explained that we used the QR code to check in. She says, you have to let them know at the front so they can get your paperwork. (This is frustrating because I’m going off what the prompt message says on my phone-which was to sit in the waiting area) So, I’m waiting in line and the pharmacy technician calls my daughters name and says unfortunately the pharmacist wouldn’t be able to do the testing for my daughter because she was not certified. (So confused at this point). First I was told I had to check in so my paperwork could be printed off but they had to been aware that we were checked in their system because the tech said she was not certified to do that testing which they knew the reason without me mentioning it. Then I’m frustrated because the pharmacy is not in sequence with their electronic check in process. Granted, after re-reading the bulletin in smaller font at the bottom it does read to check in with tech but in larger bolder letter at the top are the steps that I follow which prompted us to the waiting area. So we stayed for 25mins with no testing done. The little extra unnecessary comments “well I’m just telling you, what you have to do” and the lack of empathy with a sick child is just uncalled for. The technician was sweet and understanding which showed she cared. She did tell me I could reschedule and come back tomorrow for the flu/Covid testing to visit the other pharmacist. I just don’t understand why would Walgreens allow customers/patients to book an appt if the on duty pharmacist could not fulfill certain request. I just re-booked at my nearest Walgreens which I don’t usually have issues with because I would hate to run into this issue again.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service from pharmacist on duty Mon & Tues evenings 2/24/25 & 2/25/25!! Waited on hold for 24 mins initially on my follow up call from yesterday & then got disconnected. Called store & it took 12 mins for someone to answer. Ok I understand, they ARE busy at that store. But I eventually spoke with Rashad who was EXCELLENT & VERY HELPFUL & professional! He transferred me to the pharmacist & asked her to pick up the phone. Well someone DID pick up, but immediately put me ON HOLD!! Unbelievable! Called Rashad back & finally spoke to the pharmacist on duty at 9:20 pm who had a non-challant “couldn’t care less” attitude. When I told her I was on hold for 24 mins & then was disconnected and that when I called back & the Mgr transferred me over asking her to please pick up, someone answered but immediately put me ON HOLD then the call dropped off, she said, “Well there are 12 calls in queue right now & there are only 3 of us here. So the calls do eventually drop off.” No “I’m really sorry” or “How can I help you?” - just an “I don’t care” attitude as if she couldn’t care less about customer service! Again, unbelievable!! I have NEVER encountered a so called “pharmacist” in my life. Osco Drug, Mariano’s Pharmacy, Meijer Pharmacy, & just about ANY other pharmacy I’ve used have ALWAYS been professional with a sense of urgency in their efforts to do their jobs & provide good customer service! Not only did this “pharmacist” at this Walgreens pharmacy (named Chyla I believe) not provide any semblance of customer service, she didn’t even do her job & transfer my prescription over from another pharmacy yesterday!!!! Apparently she thinks she doesn’t have to do ANYTHING! I will NEVER use a Walgreens pharmacy again in life!

Horrible customer service! I changed all of my prescriptions from a different Walgreens, they were pretty good at first, and then the the bottom fell out! Long waits in inside and drive thru, one side of the drive thru is always broken. If you call to speak with the pharmacy, after being transferred from the call center expect a long wait, and maybe to even be hung up on! I called today 1/30/25 was on hold for 49 minutes to be hung up on!!

The Walgreens near my house didn’t fill my blood pressure medicine like they were supposed to so I had it transferred to the Oak Lawn location a since my daughter was admitted to the hospital nearby. I immediately got a voicemail saying there was an insurance issue so I called and the pharmacy tech connected me to the pharmacist where I was left on hold for 36 minutes and they never answered. While still on hold I used my husband’s cell to call them and a different tech answered and sorted out my issue and said my rx will be ready that night. Drove to the store over an hour later and the pharmacy was not taking customers inside. Went to the drive thru and there were 8 cars ahead of me. Waited in line for over 30 minutes just to be told they don’t even have it in stock. Walgreens pharmacy is an absolute joke. They have gone downhill and they don’t care about their customers. Was a longtime regular there and I’m transferring everything out. Sad that it’s getting harder and harder to get the meds we need to stay alive.

Came in once and the girl at the front register was cool. Came in a second time they have things cautioned off in every direction, there was no way to get to the front counter. Kyle was a smart ass and told me I could not walk under the caution tape(obviosuly Kyle)... but there was no way to get back to the registers without going under the caution tape.. and if there was he was super aggressive about telling me where..Supposedly the reason was for floor cleaners, but they have not even started yet.. and so what did it matter to just come under and get out quick, but then Kyle wanted to be funny in front of the other customers and co worker and talk shit. I have been coming to Walgreens for 20 years, and I have never been treated like that.

In the last 5 weeks the new women pharmacist won’t fill anything. I’ve been getting my Xanax after midnight, which is the exact day I can for 3 years Now that the young lady pharmacist quit and the new overnight pharmacist is there she won’t do anything to help a customer. Maybe it shouldn’t be 24 hours She said after 8 in the morning for that drug ! The head of pharmacy with long blond hair could care less too! . If any of them smiled it would be a miracle. Everything is so hard especially since COVID I’m switching pharmacies , I don’t need to be treated that way

If I could give 0 stars I would. Pulled up to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. Mind you they have 3 periods of lunch breaks. I pulled up at 6:30 and waited in line just for them to suddenly close the window at 6:42 and proceed to go on their lunch instead of taking care of me and the car behind me we were the last 2 people in line. Normally in customer service if you’re due for your lunch break and you have customers you take care of them before you go. You don’t just close the window in their face.

Zero Stars!!! Don't waste your time with this pharmacy! They have endless hold times and then they hang up on you.
